My parents were converted at these crusades in 1959. My father had written to Billy and told him to get back to America as we didn’t need a Yankee con man here. My mother went to a crusade one night and became born again, the next night my father went along with the intention of causing trouble but God spoke to him through Billy and he was born again that night. My parents went on to become missionaries in Borneo. God used this man greatly. My dad and Billy are both in glory now together.

Billy Graham looks so young and full of the holy spirit in preaching the good news of the Gospel in Australia. Interesting that, in 1959, the Australian clergyman spoke of parents having ambitions for their sons in terms of profession and career, and for their daughters only 'social ambitions . . . marrying well'. How times have changed.
So many people can't grasp that either! I can't figure out why, but people tell me that if they sin, then GOD hates them to begin with. It's like hating it when a pet poops on the floor indoors, but you love the heck out of the pet. There's a BIG difference!!!

Just wondered whether anyone more technically minded than me would know how, in 1959, they managed the live relay from Australia to America? I believe this was before the age, by a few years anyway, of satellite communication?
As one who has been in broadcasting, satellite transmission was not heard of in 1959. I believe they did it with landline phone cables which transmitted both audio and video. That's how Jerry Falwell first recorded his "Old-Time Gospel Hour" TV programs. They had no video taping capabilities at Thomas Road Baptist Church. Sunday services were transmitted via cables to a recording facility in Michigan. I know this because I took a tour of the church facilities back in them days and that was what tour guide told us.

I dont believe in GOD because that I seen GOD taking a child one night while I was in a hospital . I was about 12 years old at the time . I was blinded by a BB gun being shot in the eyes that destroyed my vision . This girl was in a hallway where I was . She had a brain tumor . I seen GOD take her and just before that he repaired my eyes so I can see . That next day I walked out of that hospital on my own power and sight . You see I know there is a GOD . I have seen him . Then along my path I had sinned against GOD . I destroyed my life here and in heaven . My sin is that Horable . I cant or wont go threw those gates . I cant . I cry each time I see this in my head . I am torchard here as well in hell .
The conviction is already a sign that you can be saved. You have not hardened your heart, but feel the guilt of it. Now you must believe what God has said: Sins can be forgiven, no matter how horrible they may be in your mind. Isaiah 1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. It's a simple matter of asking forgiveness and believing that no matter how vile the sin, Christ death gives us atonement, i.e. he pays for it with His life, to which we are eternally grateful. 1Co 15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 1Co 15:4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: Heb 7:25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Ask for forgiveness, believe in Christ, thank Him for His sacrifice, and know that He has forgiven you. It will be done, because He keeps His promise!
