The first train is the night Riviera-Paddington to Penzance service, which is a regular service operated by GWR and always runs with a class 57 . The Class 37s are delivering the second set of ex Transport for wales class 175s , first constructed between 1999/2001 in washford heath , Birmingham. They were refurbished between 2019/21. GWR have purchased 11 two car and 16 three car to operate on a various amount of services in the West Country I’ll keep Bill posted
@@chucky2316 I’m just a swat Kieron 😂but thanks mate for the compliment. I have a question you can help me with, what’s the upside Bar co Paignton like ? I heard it serves a decent pint and a nice meal
Great clips of the 175s and 57s on sleeper. I miss the 175s but I'll see them in dawlish or ride hopefully although someone told me these 2 175s might be the last ones in service coz 175s are getting selective opening fitted first
Hello Bill loved the video as always. What a shame The Bay Hotel, it's sad to see all the big hotels going .Thanks Andy for his video. Loved seeing my photos especially Mom by the paddling pool, happy days.i used to love sailing my yacht on it. I'm with your Mom Dad's army never ceases to be funny. See you tomorrow Carol
Ah the Bay Hotel i wondered what it was like inside good pictures, yes i remember the pool for children with the balustrades around it excellent great picture thanks Carol, another great picture on the beach with St. Michael's etc in the background thanks Carol, Ah no Rufus today, and yet another seawall walk comes to an end, good old card factory and great to see the banking hub getting ready, thanks for the tour around Bill 👏👋

Lovely snaps from Carol. I did laugh at what you said about your mum loving Dad's Army of an evening, we've all got our gulity pleasure TV shows eh, lol
Hi Bill hope you're well. Hope you managed to survive the latest storm. As always an enjoyable virtual walk along the sea wall and town, and still watching,if not commenting. Best wishes stay safe Jon and Karen
Thanks Jon - Storm was really mild for me - Strange really as there was damage in Dawlish, and a lot in Exmouth so I'm told, but as for Teignmouth, it was just another windy day. If I hadn't seen all the stuff on TV, I wouldn't believe that it was a 'named storm' - So, yes, we got off lightly!
I fully understand... Sometimes I just chuckle and tell Anne I was just remembering that clip or other without even watching at the time. It is our favorite if we had to chose. We don't have tv and I don't want it, I don't think I would enjoy modern so called comedy from what I have seen. It's nice to think of Mum enjoying Dad's Army. Have a great weekend. @@BillsPhoneTeignmouth
Hi Bill, not bad really if the only thing thing you you had planned to film turned up early. Oh dear mate still you had a really good recovery. Nowt wrong with Dad's Army, you know what they say, "they don't like it up them" lol. See you tomorrow mate. 👍👍👍
Yes, wasn't too bad in the end - I always like to have a plan though, and when my plan falls flat, I'm at a loose end - But never mind, glad you enjoyed it - Yes, nothing wrong with Dads Army at all - But i couldn't watch it over and over again without a break though 👍 See you tomorrow mate 👍
Hi Bill, hope you are fine, have a new channel now....Teignmouth busy with trains as normal...hope Mom's eyes will be soon rectified....we've sunshine with temps upper 26-29c...hope to travel very soon....take care Bill
The class 57 sleeper was great seeing and the 37s pulling the ex TfW 175s for GWR, nice sea wall walk. You didn't see andys last comment question of the Paignton?
Big thanks to andy for 57 and 37 s at Dawlish Warren. Bill do you know is andy saw laira to mid Norfolk railway today 7.35 Teignmouth .bill be go if did video on banking hup . Let know how it works Good video bill
Yes, he did! Film of it will be in next Thursdays video - Banking Hub is easy - A counter where you can withdraw or deposit money as if you were at your old bank, and a separate room at the back for a 'Bank Representative' to deal with complex matters - A different bank is represented on a different day each week - www.middevonadvertiser.co.uk/news/permanent-banking-hub-opens-in-teignmouth-745906
Wow those Bay hotel pics were very interesting. Can you ask Andy what they are doing in Dawlish. The place is crawling with orange men and there’s a pipe into the brook surrounded by red barriers. We saw it on the web cam, wish we were there to see it.
Southwest water are putting in trial boreholes for the large water tank that will be put underneath the lawn in 2025 and several areas around the town will need new pipelines. It needs doing, as the town is expanding at the rate of knots, the downside will be the disruption for nearly 12 months and possibly losing some of our precious tourism.
