In this video I take a look at how you can use some of the new features in FS22 Courseplay for all your main harvesting tasks, including combining with self-unload, baling and two options for bale collecting.

Go to 'Releases' on the right side menu to download the Zip file, then copy into your FS22 Mods folder. Note: Courseplay is still in development, so be mindful of that!

Hands down - this is the most concise, clear and straight-forward tutorial for Courseplay in the FS 22 community on UA-cam. More importantly it's delivered in a mature manner; no 'catching up with chat' or other nonsense a lot of other 'content' creators seem to distract themselves with constantly for $1/$2 donations. Thanks for all of the effort of putting this together - Courseplay was extensively used in FS19 and great to see it making a comeback in the new FS 22 reality/nightmare.

That bale collecting was very impressive. I used CP for bale collection in FS19 on the same route as Harvesting or Windrowing but it required alot more fine tuning with offset settings and vehicle speed to not get to the next bale to fast. This bale auto detection was really impressive especially if u dont wanna drive around in full speed and pick up bales with a modded auto stacker.
Hi there. Yes, it is a very useful new function in CP. Not fool proof, but it is a very good addition!
You can also edit a baler that you use a lot and give it a little wider working width like a meter on both sides. This way its still not a cheat because it will not pick up the other rows on the sides but it will grab that handful in the corners and what's left due to the combine's maneuvers.

This was interesting. I tend to use helpers since I am totally useless at driving in a straight line on games. Looking forward to giving Courseplay a run. although I can't help feeling at times I am watching my computer play my game for me.
I guess it depends on how you want to play the game. Using Courseplay is not that much different to using a Helper, but it is just better at doing the work, i.e. it can do your headland work as well so it is a more efficient tool to use. I like it because I can get more work done overall, so it helps 'Manage' the farm and workers better. I still do some of the work, just not all of it, but I like the 'Farm Manager' role! 👍

Great video! I just started using courseplay and this will help me get it sorted out. Are you planning on doing an autodrive tutorial?
Thanks Andrew. Glad this has helped. I'm still getting my head around AutoDrive to be honest, so it might be a little while before I do anything on that! I need to find some time to have a bit more of a play with it!!
You can also put the bale collectors on the same course as the bailer with an offset to make it go just to the side. Adjust speed as needed. That can sometimes be faster with less collisions because the AI doesn't need to path around the field.
Not tried that, but yes it could be an option and as you say, might limit collisions.
you can use courseplay with the bale collecting to it works good along with autodrive taking bales to storages

Thanks for your comment. Yes - Courseplay can definitely make a big difference and allow you to cover so much more work. When running a big farm, that can make a huge difference. And certainly a lot better than just using regular AI helpers!! Enjoy! 👍😃
When you are using a controller on PC do you still have to use your keyboard to work courseplay?

my com,bine comes up to the trailer but doesnt actually unload any product. do you know what could be causing this?

Thanks. The bale trailer mods are all in the Modhub. It was a trailer from the Roland Pack, I was using. farming-simulator.com/mod.php?lang=en&country=gb&mod_id=225090&title=fs2022
so is courseplay for fs22 not like it was in fs17 or fs19 where you could set a go to route and have them drive it? the fieldwork aspect still works like it used to. i know there are such things as autodrive but back then you could do it all in courseplay.
I think you can still do the same in Courseplay as before.
Hello, hear Ed from the Netherlands. Is it possible to make a video about a route to a silo with Courseplay only? I like Courseplay, and i only wont to work with it. Greetings from Ed
Hi Ed, thanks for your note and suggestion. In order to do a route to a silo and back to a filed, you would need to link in with Autodrive. I have just posted a video of doing this with a forage wagon. So collecting grass after mowing and windrowing (using courseplay), then automatically taking that to a bunker silo (using autodrive) and then going back to the field to carry on with the Courseplay work. All automated. Have a look and perhaps do a new save game and have a play around with Autodrive. Not too difficult once you get used to it. Let me know how you get on. 👍

There are plenty of auto load bale trailers out there. The Pong pack or Roland pack. You just have to select 'Autoload' option when you buy them.

Old CP for fs19 was a lot better.
FS22 CP is still in development and the features so far I think have improved it. I think there is still more to come. 👍
Old courseplay for fs 17 was easier to use,i find this version complicated
I didn't play on FS17, so cannot comment but I find the FS22 version easy enough to follow and I like the new features for bale collecting, wrapping and combine unload.

Calmsden Farm by Oxygen David. Great UK map.
I can not get it to call the unloader to save my life.
Annoying that the harvester doesn't activate the beacons at 80%. Even the worker can manage that.
It can - you can adjust the % when it activates the beacons and calls the trailer.
@@FarmSimGamer oh great, where's that setting? Just encountered another issue, the combine will not self unload anymore. That problem has to be my end but I don't know where. I uninstalled courseplay and downloaded the latest version and it hasn't helped. Grrr.

Yes - that is. I was focussing just on regular harvest. To be honest I don't do much potatoes or sugar beet.

Don't want to be rude but your courseplay is out of date.
Not a problem, I know. I recorded this in stages from last Friday to Sunday so was using what was the latest version when I started - v.23. I think we're now on v.25 so updates coming out fairly regularly.

@Granville Wright Thank you. I'm glad you found it useful. I think they brought out both versions 7.0.0.24 and 0.25 on Sunday. I had a look at the change log and nothing in them that would have affected what I showed. Good to see they have now added ability to record a new field perimeter. I was waiting for that to appear.
