Thumb Bucket Ep 2 (Building Berms, Rollers, and Singletrack!)
Вставка
- Опубліковано 13 кві 2021
- Thumb bucket is Berm Peak's first machine cut mountain bike trail, which when finished will be a blank canvas for crazy features. This series documents us building the trail from bottom to top, from learning how to use a machine, to drainage, to technical difficulties.

Last time I was this early, I was learning how to store bikes in a closet in Florida
Nice
And fill walmart bikes with sand and water
and ride a 200 dollar walmart fatbike in the ocean
Is it really early if the videos is already uploaded you're just really on time
@@haydenboyd5772 how do you know the video had been posted?
“It will be a little sketchy”
Every time Seth says that I hold my breath because Seth’s definition of sketch is always kinda insane...

7:25 "just like old times"
*plays knockoff bad moon rising, just like old times*
Yes.
berm creek nostalga
The song is actually called "still waters run deep" by Ten Towers. Seth chose the instrumental version of the song
Greatest thing ever
That godawful noise is horrible
I think u might if got the song name wrong
Looks like you mastered the "BMXcavator" 🤘. Always happy to come help out at Berm Peak!

Makes any Wednesday worth waking up.

Haha yeah

It’s so nice to wake up to an unexpected berm peak video
I recently revealed the genders of my two girlfriends. It got a lot of hate and now has 30 times more dislikes than likes. I am really sad that people can be so mean. Sorry for using your comment to talk about my problems, dear bry
In my country it's afternoon😅😐
JH,

@@AxxLAfriku i mean.. why would you have two girlfriends in the first place? And also, if they are your GIRLfriend, then it is no surprise that they are girls so why would you do a gender reveal??? I hope it’s just a joke that I didn’t catch
this is the kind of person i wanna be when i grow up

I just wanna be better than i am now and solve all my biggest problems.
@@m.a3117 i think you can do that then i believe you can 🙃

1:20 Keep your hands and feet inside the ride at all times! I have seen the aftermath of a leg out of the cab when a digger flipped. You gave me a heart attack for a second.
And notice he didn't have his seatbelt on...he had it on every other time. Those minis will buck you bad.
gotta fight instinct and keep everything in tight when they go.
Yeah, it's hard to control but what he did is the best idea to break an arm :/
I’ve never operated one but I clenched my cheeks I though he was gonna rip his arm off
Don't have experience on a digger, but I drive forklifts. I cringed and gasped out loud when he did that.
Seth looks like he’s literally surviving off of his coffee machine
Newborn baby problems lol

9:31 you can see Seths beaming smile in the background you can tell that man loves what he does. Good to see him so happy even after that nasty injury!
I love how his accent is slowly becoming more southern haha
I just realized how much Seth’s UA-cam videos look like a TV show, it’s really good and Seth has a really good personality for TV.
He should have his own show or something.
true
Weekly episode yeah
The day is saved
it is indeed
Diggers are awesome machines for trailbuilding! All that happend to yours happended with mine🤣 good times! Keep the amazing work up!! Cheers from chile! We have also been building trails this week too!👹
5th like!

Hola xD
I'm so glad Seth is back to building. The rock crawlers were getting tired.
But it's awesome he's healthy enough to be back out there. It wouldn't be summer without Seth. Please don't get injured again buddy.
7:47 Seth is flexing on us, he's got his AirPods in 😂
Never clicked that fast on a notification😂. I was watching old Berm Peak videos and then this popped up😂
haha me too
When are you going to review some tacos?
Is it just me who started to shed a tear at the "Just like old times" bit? Remindes me of Berm Creek. Love too see you back Seth 🙂
Seth is living literally every mtn biker's dream....the dream of having their own trail network in their backyard
I want to see Seth make a rc crawler course on the trails..
Yes
Oh ya that's a good idea!
Agreed
yes!!!
9:16 Did anyone notice that sticker on Seth's shirt?
Happy that he got the vaccine!

I saw it two, Thought the same thing
Me watching a Berm Peak vid after school instead of in lockdown: today we'll be doing something different but kinda the same
Just finished watching 98% of all your old videos and lets just say you got me hooked Seth. Thanks for the entertainment and your narration skills are next level.
Seth is such a great story teller! I don’t even ride MTB, but I’ve been watching him for over two years!
When he said just like the old times and started playing that old song nostalgia kicks in
My wife got lucky and purchased me a Cannondale trail 4. Took the leap to get into the hobby because of you! Thanks for everything you're a great channel for people looking to get into the sport/hobby.
Am I the only one who loved the part where he started working with hand tools and that music turned on , Seth I love your videos keep up the good work man!
If you know what I mean
Love the vids! They have inspired me to start mountain biking and making my own trails in my backyard!

You may wanna keep your seatbelt on if you're working on hills. The cab can't protect you if you aren't in it.
The cabin cage is a "killer feature" if you try to bail out of it...I wish someone told him before he almost lost a limb there
I am being honest here. I straight almost cried when Seth started using the OG tools and I have missed him so much! So welcome back. Dude!
The wet berm, though not ideal for riding, seemed so oddly satisfying in the clip (9:11)
So glad you got this far. I was here since your garage was a closet omg brings back memories.
Sooner than later Seth is going to own a mountain/down hill park
Ohh wait he does can’t wait to see berm park
Another great video. Thanks for letting us Ride with you again! 👍
"It may come as a surprise that radiators do not cool effectively when they're caked in dirt." Someone chose sass today.
You guys put so much effort into your videos. It's amazing how fast you can make them. Keep up the great work!
Today was already going downhill but watching this is saved it
Good to see Berm Peak back on track!👍🏼
You had me at "When I Was..." Very creative intro for a great video!
Just realised that this dude is the only youtuber that didn't say to subscribe to him .
and he has 2.23 mil
But everyone still does
10:18
He does say subscribe at 10:18 🤦♂️
@@cameron8147 yeah but I meant like every 10 seconds saying subscribe and like. He doesn't do it like that. Not in the beginning.
Next thing we know he’ll be saying “ today I’ll be adding jet thrusters to my kids strider bike”
So glad you’re back to trail building. Looking forward to the progress on Thumb Bucket!
I don’t really mountain bike but I love to watch your videos!
That’s insane how much the berm flexed when they rolled over it
Whoa you’re right . I never noticed something like that before . Fascinating. But it still looks plenty strong right ?
Yeah it holds up great but moves like crazy. It’s like the berm is made of jelly
The video we have all been waiting for.
Hello. I’ve been watching your videos for a while. I’ve loved every single one of them. And yesterday I got my first real bike. It’s an older Gary fisher hardtail that my teacher gave me. And In one day I put in roughly 30 miles on it. Thank you for getting me into mountain biking. Later this summer Once I’m better at riding and jumps I’m gonna go to my local ski/bike park and hit some trails. So far mountain biking is the most fun thing I’ve ever done!
Great to see you back on your feet and even better to see you building tracks again. Looking forward to what this summer'll bring to the channel.
Yessir been wanting for this moment in health rn lol
How awesome would it be to ride his trails
It would be the greatest experience ever! Lol
So good to see you on your bike again!! Can’t wait to see the rest of the trail 👍
Great to see you building trails again Seth! Love your videos!💪🤩🤩
Seth just gets news toys to play with every video doesn't he...
Next Ep: Thumb Bucket broke my other ankle
The world is right again. Seth is back on the trails. Life feels better. Thank you Seth.
I’m not first, I’m not last, but when Seth posts, I come fast!
Me too. I just need my weekly dose of Seth.
I know for a fact I would’ve ended up flipping that thing. Lol.
I have no connection to mountain biking, but you made me interested. These are my comfort videos, I have been watching since 2019 and im so ready to see what you have in store. keep up the great content!!
I gotta say its a lot of fun to watch you make a trail. I've watched the other videos countless amounts of times!
I’ve been waiting for this day :)
literally crying right now at the thought of something to look forward to on Wednesdays
also crying at the thought of you sticking your arm out of the cab if you tip it over, don't do it!
I would watch these videos just for Seth’s narration.
Made my day go from 4 out of ten to a 100/10
And I have learned so much about biking and building from you I started my own trail and hope to start a channel for mountain biking soon so thank you for making viedos and sharing them with the public.
Lovely intro seth
I can imagine Seth’s wife going up the drive and then Seth going on the driveway jump over her car it would be terrifying but it would look sick if you don’t crash
Nice to see you shredding again Seth!!! as a local North Carolinian I am anxiously and patiently awaiting every video you post.. following you since Berm Creek and I cant stop. Good to see you back at it and doing 'sketchy' things again ahah. Power to ya man! Keep up the creative and amazing work!!!!!
Glad to see you back out at work and riding! I can see you're clearly still in pain and not working at full power. Hope you get better soon!
Seths leg just healed I can’t be the only who thinks his full sus would be better to ride. His hardtail would put more force through his leg wouldn’t it.
To pump the roller, you have to put more effort into a full sus, so maybe the hard tail is actually easier on his foot. Hard tails can directly transmit your pumping effort to the ground without going through the rear suspension travel
I have been using 230,000 dollar excavators Sense I was 6 watching Seth struggle was the best day ever
Good to see you back on trails building again Seth. It lets us know your doing better and able to ride again.
So good to see you on the bike again! Love your Videos
Congrats on being vaccinated (I caught the sticker)
Getting famous off of comments day 314, so I can live the dream, live every day like it’s your last🤙

Glad to see you doing builds again. Looking forward to future content.
SO stoked that your back with the builds! Happy building Seth :)
its an adiction to like your videos before watching because its a pleasure watching them
This is the best video you've made in a long time. Back to form. Love it.
Hey man, professional trail builder here. Use the articulating piston for the boom to pull dirt from uphill to downhill at a 45-degree angle. Don't be afraid to inslope the trail at first if it keeps you stable. Also, use the blade to push dirt forward and backward on the bench. It will help grade, pull roots, and keep you stable when pulling out root balls. A good rule of thumb is lifting anything heavy or pulling anything stuck, to have the blade facing toward the direction of load. Might have to move the dirt to make that work but it is worth doing so. Also, the third thing is it is a lot easier to push yourself up banks than to pull. Having that blade downhill when doing that will make it almost impossible to fall backward. Learning to operate is a steep skill curve when done so in the woods. Sorry for the essay, don't mean to intrude if this comment is intrusive, just wanted to help.
Seth! It's so good seeing you ride again. Enjoy!
One smart dude, living his best life !!! Seth's always up to something cool 😎
Super excited to watch this trail take shape!
Awesome job can't wait to see more of the trail builds
I'm so glad that your back to doing builds! this is awesome!
Gotta say...it's so rad to see Seth back on his ankle and riding again 🤘🏼😎🤦🏼♂️
