Firstly, I got all excited when I saw your name and "One More Light", and boy, was i not disappointed! I love how vulnerable you sound in these 'dark' songs. This was absolutely beautifully done! That "I do" high part during the solo, man, nailed it would be an understatement. Such a beautiful cover Dan, I'm so glad you did go through with doing this one!

I lost a close friend from college a few years back to suicide, and his image was in my mind while working on this one. Yes, life rolls on, but grief takes a long, long time. It’s impossible to not ask, would a simple phone call to check in have made a difference? I’m drawn to songs that ask the hard questions, and this is certainly one that hits home.
