Mad World Cover (unplugged)
I am working on a studio version of this cover, but on a recent trip away from home, it just felt right to toss up the iPhone at an AirBnB and capture it raw. This song just feels too appropriate for our current world. I think it's one we can all relate to, at times.

Everything is on point with this cover. In addition to you doing all the instruments, I particularly like the light touch with backing harmony vocals in some parts of the song. Great cover, you should be proud! I started listening to U2 in 1985 when I was 14. One of my top 3 concerts (can't rank them) is U2 in 1987 at Kemper Arena in Kansas City on the Joshua Tree tour. I burned my thumb on the lighter during the second encore which was 40. The other two in my top 3 were much more intimate concerts: Nine Inch Nails in the spring of 1990 at The Edge in Palo Alto (pretty small club) and Rodrigo y Gabriela at a small venue (300ish people?) in Santa Cruz.

I love how these classic songs attach to so many of our memories, especially those of us who grew up in the 80s - a unique time in music (and much more) which I don’t think will be repeated. Hard for me to not get lost in the nostalgia sometimes.

Hey @maksiu11. No AutoTune (not a fan of the blanket effect it has on the human voice), only some mild Melodyne (manual pitch correction tool) on a few sour notes, primarily in the harmony part (those notes were a bit too high for this old guy 😅).
Ian’s cover is incredible, and so is yours. Very inspiring. Thanks for doing this. Incredibly beautiful tone on your guitar too.
