Right, it was not 200 games like they said it would be. It was 10 games with 20 difficulty settings. They counted each setting as 1 game. It was false advertising.
I don't have mine from childhood anymore, but I found one again years back at a second hand store for 2$. My uncle gave me, my sister and cousin's pro jr's a couple years after it's release. My mom absolutely hated how noisy it was when we started it up & playing the games. I have one simply just for the nostalgic factor. Lol, that game boy line pretty much sum's it up for most people.
Oh I remember this. About half or 60% of its library is a slightly different version of Tetris. Other than that you get to play space attack/tank, a racing game, frogger, snake, a match box game, pong, and break out (my favorite of them all.) However, getting that last piece was always SO FRUSTRATING on this thing!
I remembered I ordered this device back in October of 1997; I actually went out to my local grocery store to purchase a money order ($19.98 plus $5.98 shipping and handling), sent it in; we didn't have Amazon nor Ebay back then; you either had to call the 800 number and use your credit card or mail in a check or money order. I then waited for 2 whole months for them to ship me this device. They didn't even ship it to me UPS nor FedEx; they shipped it to me USPS regular mail, which does not cost $5.98 shipping and handling.
Used to have this handheld. I still got the knockoff one (Gamemaster 2001) these things were addicting even tho they were no different than the cheap handheld games you can get at dollar general.
I bought one today, and even though this wasn't big when I was kid, I'm amazed. I could be playing on my Nintendo switch but this is somewhat cooler XD I'm mean, NO WIFI for this thing
My grandma bought me one of these. I guess she either saw it in a magazine or a tv commercial. When the batteries died in my Gameboy I would switch to this thing on road trips
I love the brick game handhelds to be honest i think they are so underrated one of my favorite it was great best handheld to me and i didn't like it being clones of other games i also think it's good alternative cheaper than the real true video game hardwares that are experneive because not everybody can't not afford a real true video game hardware and the brick game handhelds were great to me i wasn't disappointed with them at all i was satisfied with it in my unpopular way of thinking by thinking for myself that's just me but i respect most that love it think it's good and some hate it think it's bad there also most other unpopular video game hardware and software i love that was good to me that nobody else like that think it was bad and some i didn't like but we are all difference that's ok that's what makes us unique
It’s amazing how much love this little handheld gets. I was really surprised by it. I was not keen myself but then I didn’t have one when I was younger. A lot of people have mentioned their positive memories of this and it’s great to hear. Thanks for watching.

I remember getting this as a kid and being SOOOOOOOOOOOOO DISSAPOINTED. This is probably the worst gaming console of all time.
Believe me, there's WORSE out there
The best cheapo handheld ever :v

Doesn't help that neither it or the Jr model lacked a headphone jack.
I don't have mines from my childhood either; I donated it to charity in 2002. I just didn't have time to play it anymore after I got into college.

i love the ten little Indians tune
I just saw this in a commercial on an old Wheel of Fortune episode, so I searched for a demo.

That right there is a piece of childhood. I just ordered one and i can't stop singing the opening tune now within my impatience waiting for it LMAO

I remember this old handheld!
The commercial is hilarious, it shows the mom throwing away a SNES game with the narrator shouting "never buy a new expensive game again!!!"
I saw that. She threw away Street Fighter 2, which I find even more hilarious.
I cant in my mind remember mine had a calculator, but i remember the grey color.
4:33 I'm trying to put my finger on what that song is, it sounds so familiar
Can’t place it myself. I know it from somewhere.
@@SteDubya Ode to Joy! That's what it is... which is quite ironic honestly
Ah thanks 😀

"Beethoven's Ode To Pain", as Ashens said when looking at the "Game Station", another "Brick Game" unit.
I still am unsure what 2:14 is supposed to be. I always knew the other one was Ode to Joy though.

I have one of these that's exactly the same except it says pro 600
I just found mine. Changed the batteries and works perfectly. Calculator stopped working a long time ago ha ha
Glad it still works. Enjoy the nostalgia :)
For the calculator, you probably have to open that circular door at the bottom of the device and change out that battery.
I wanted one of these so bad as a kid.
I had one & I loved it! Don't know what happened to it (I think my mom gave it away years ago).
I used to have one too, but I donated mines to charity.
Did you throw away all your cartridges😂😂

I have one I bought it years ago it was whack then and whack now. A waist of money and time.
Not sure it’s that good 🤣
hoooly shit, i had one of these when i was a kid. I didn't know anyone who had one hahah. This was my first experience with tetris haha
You clearly don't know how to use it, there is a lot to exploit in this console
