"Willkommen bei den Hartmanns" (Welcome to the Hartmann Family) is a comedy movie. The mum of the family wants to help during the refugee crisis in 2015 - she and her family "adopts" Diallo - a refugee from Nigeria. His family was killed by Boko Haram. The movie is about of clash of the cultures.

Mark Forster is a Coach from the Voice ..of Germany. He can also sing. In english too. And he now so many Songs and lyricsin any styles. Rock,Pop,Rapp,Contry,Opera,Musical,Evergreens from the 30iens,40iens and so on!
A (somewhat) fun fact about Mark Forster: There’s countless youtube poop versions of his songs because the way he raps/sings makes it very easy to edit and manipulate certain elements of his songs in a way that makes everything he sings sound ridiculous. That and the fact that his songs are often seen as extremely mainstream radio music made him into a bit of a meme in Germany. But instead of getting mad he now fully embraces his meme status on social media which made him even more popular, because now some of the people who usually despise pop music or wouldn’t listen to Mark Forster because it’s “not cool” like him for being the meme he is.
If you wanna watch a German TV show you should watch "Dark". It is the only one worth it. Or maybe the TV series version of "Das Boot", which is originally a movie and the mini series is like an extended cut of it (a better cut).
Challenge accepted.
Here is what Google summarizes about the movie (from 2016, when the refugee "crisis" was in full swing in germany): After visiting a refugee home, Angelika Hartmann decides, against the wishes of her husband Richard, to take in the asylum seeker Diallo. However, this decision, which she made on her own, causes catastrophic chaos in her family, which becomes even worse when daughter Sophie and son Philipp, along with grandson Basti, also move back in. But the unfamiliar, chaotic situation also offers the family the chance to grow together again.
Man, it took me 50 years to come to the conclusion that everyone is mostly worrying what other people think of them. 😂 Since that realization live got much easier.
I like your reaction 👍🏻. If you are interested in a different kind of German music, I recommend Subway to Sally. A German rock band with interesting instruments like violin, hurdy-gurdy,... Try out "Königin der Käfer" or "Leinen los "
Aloha and greetings from Germany! You absolutely have to listen to "au revoir" by "Mark Forster"!!! The song is extremely great! Film suggestions: - "Because we are champions" - "Werner Beinhart" - "Pretty best friends" - "Honey in the head"
If you care about a recommendation for a series: Der Greif ("the griffon") is a german fantasy series about the son of a man that is guarding the "tower", a parallel world to ours, who slowly learns about his fathers secret and the dangers of the tower. One day he was confronted with the problem that his brother - who started the search for their father that was thought dead- disappeared in the tower in pursuit of his goal. And thus, the series starts to get more exciting while the mc tries to save his brother and to learn more about the tower. The series is based on a book by Wolfgang Hohlbein. I like both -the series and the book. It is watchable on prime video and I think it might also be watchable elsewhere.
I would really like you to react to xavier naidoo although he was fallen from grace in corona pandemic. He is one of the greatest german talents since 2000. Since you dont want to get in such a complicated situation I would love you to react at some music of Stefan Raab like "Maschendrahtzaun" or "Wir kiffen" because he is a great entertainer and singer/songwriter and was part at the ESC 2000 with " Wadehadedudeda" (under first 10). He also coached our last ESC winner in 2010!
Some movies that are maybe interesting are "Das Leben der anderen", "Iron Sky", "Werner Beinhart", "Das Experiment ", "Magical Mistery", "Good bye Lenin", "Lammbock", "Lola rennt" or "Soul Kitchen". A funny modern movie on Netflix is "Buba". You could react to "7vsWild". It's very popular in the last years but the actual fourth season is not that good.
Great Video, Thank you. I didn't realize that this song was also the soundtrack to the film. I didn't even see him.. But Mark Forster is a great Artist. When he became known in 2012 with the album "Karton" (highly recommended), he still sounded so beautifully raw, much better than today, in my opinion. If you would like to hear him sing more: the song “Hundert Stunden (Hundred Hours)” feat “Glasperlenspiel” is very beautiful ua-cam.com/video/jbbU1NKxDt8/v-deo.html ... A wonderful German film at the beginning of spring that I would recommend: "Märzmelodie. "A film in which German songs (including "Schlager") are integrated into the plot. A German series with Spanish origins that I can highly recommend (warning, it gets emotional and a bit sad) is: "Club der roten Bänder"(Club of the Red Ribbons"". For comedy, “Mord mit Aussicht" (Murder with a View)” is super funny.
Because of reacting to German TV Shows or movies check please the copyrights. Would be terrible when you put in so much work and it gets blocked Would love to see a reaction to SIDO feat. Mark Forster "Einer dieser Steine". SIDO is one of Germanys successful rapper and you can actually hear Mark sing there. Maybe here it would be better to read the lyrics first or watch/ react to the video a second time after reading the lyrics.
Please react to ZOMBIEZ 🥲I'd really like to see what you have to say about what is technically the best German rap. Taste is always different of course, but these guys just deserve more attention for the great art they do.
While this song's topic is not really choirs (he uses that as extrene exaggeration of a saying "Ein Loblied auf jemanden singen" - sing a song of high praise for someone) and what could be even better than someone singing such a "Loblied"? Such a song sung by a whole choir, of course. I suggest one of the next songs you could react to, is a song by the women's choir Scala & Kolazny Brothers. For example, as you already did "Die Toten Hosen", I think the choir cover song of "Hier kommt Alex" was showing how you can make a ballad of a punk song. I don't know, but wouldn't be surprised this paved the way for die Toten Hosen to do their Tage wie Diese ballad so untypical for their usual punk style. And they also covered "Tage wie Diese", how appropriate. Interestingly, Scala & Kolacny Brothers is a Belgian choir, not German. They mostly cover songs, and I can't even tell why a great part of their songs are covers of German songs, as their home city Aarschot is not even in the Germen speaking region near the German border. But whatever you think about covers, even opponents of cover versions will have to agree that getting coverred by them means receiving the accolade for the song they cover. You could react to "Hungriges Herz" - originally by Mia or the song "Engel" - originally by Rammstein, and there are so many more, older and newer.

He is a famous singer here.
I would recommend "Au Revoir" from him.
Funfact: He is the husband of Lena who won the Eurovison Song Contest for Germany.
And he was the piono player for Kurt Krömer. Also a fun fact
He is currently one of the jury members of "The Voice of Germany" 2024 .
