Not one of our best, really struggled to get footage and it was blistering hot so spent much of my time trying to find shade. Keep watching though as we have something a bit different that we filmed today - Pigeon Shooting on our Grouse Moor with some amazing scenery!
I appreciate that particularly as I wasn't really happy with this one as it was just lacking something unique. However we have a couple of short, different and "punchy" videos in the mix, hope to have those done tomorrow. Thanks for the support
Brilliant, thanks. I wasn't really happy with this one as it was just lacking something unique. However we have a couple of short, different and "punchy" videos in the mix, hope to have those done tomorrow. Thanks for the support
Thanks. Good luck, we had another day on that field but they've now deserted all our laid crops and a few fields are getting harvested around here so things are getting tough. Out this morning shooting them over Bilberry which is a bit unusual!!
Needs must really, it's where the birds wanted to be. There were no laid patches around the edges and no birds dropping in near any cover. Sam had watched them for a few days and they were consistently dropping into the same area and when they are "locked in", if you are sensible with movement and the like, they will keep on coming and I do think they feel extra safe out in the middle of a field. It's trial and error, don't be afraid to test new ideas, so,e days it works and sometimes it doesn't but it always fun learning.
You can stand in an open field and still have some shooting, if the pigeons want on the field they will hit it most pigeon shooting is about timing, they sometimes become blind for the draw of food
Yes we've done a few crow shooting, rabbiting and duck shooting videos. We lease Lartington Estate and Stobgreen so we have a small Grouse Moor, 2 lakes, 10 ponds and about 25 Pheasant Drives on those places so we will be knocking up a few videos this winter. We both do a lot of wildfowling but one of our clubs has a Social Media ban so that restricts us there however we are in a smaller club as well plus we have a nice private marsh down on the NW coast so there will be some goose shooting videos to come from there
Robert Griffin looking forward too all of that mate I love duck and goose shooting myself same as pigeons, I'll be out beating for the winter over the next few weeks was going too take my go pro I mean why not ay, I have only ever seen one grouse and that was in Scotland it flew across the road never been on a moor at all would love too run my whippet in the moors tho haha
At the moment we use three GoPro's and we are only using inexpensive old ones that we bought on eBay, I think we paid about £35 each. Also use an old Panasonic Camcorder but that's not great. Aim is to get a good camera this year, we have a Sony A5100 recommended to us.
Another great video guys. Thanks again

Great video guys. Never tried setting up in the tramline like that. Do you find a lot see you with no background?
