Outstanding video, totally impressed with that third bird on your first triple, and remmey reminded me of my long gone "Sassy". W hat a treat to have a hunting partner that loves hunting and a little play on the side. Thanks for bringing back memories of long ago hunts and friends sore'ly missed.
Thanks. Yes don't know what we did without the Vac-pack and also the mincer - great space savers and the vac-pack keeps meat in good order in he freezer
Some great shooting there, even getting a triple. I didn’t see anything wrong with your shooting. It was good to see remy having a bit of fun. A great video and shows how well you edit with a few go pros. Keep up the great work and look forward to the next one.
Cheers! The Sillosocks made it easy to shoot "solo", 50+ deecs in one bag, lightweight, quick and easy to set up and....effective. Gone are the days when that decoy bag held 12 full bodies and that was my lot.
Nice one Rob , I think the fog helped you a bit ,really good footage and shooting mate, iv just sent for a go pro . nice to see Remy having a good time my lab ,s coming on nicely .ATB . Dave
Thanks Dave. You can get some good deals on used GoPro's on eBay if you are patient - Sam dropped his in the Solway so when we replaced that we looked out on eBay for a few weeks and got 3 GoPro's and paid £35-£55 each and they work fine. The newer ones are probably better and I know you can attach an external mic to them which helps. We need to get a decent video camera but to be honest without taking along a specialist camera crew we are about at the limit of what we can do .....but we will keep trying. We have a few ideas up our sleeves!! Yes Remy enjoys herself although we did have a bit of a fall out yesterday......video to follow!! All the best, Robert
Thanks John. Good question - there's not a huge amount on a Goose Thigh, nothing like you get on a Pheasant but I have been thinking of using them and maybe making some kind of starter? Any ideas? At the moment they don't get wasted as they go to feed Birds of Prey but I do take your point and there could be a better use?
Yes I would say it is difficult to get ground. We lease two estates where we run our Driven Game shooting (Pheasant/Grouse/Partridge) and so we have a fair few contacts from that and we are lucky to be able to give our farmers a day at our own spot if they shoot. We do Pigeon and Rabbit control over an area that extends 50 miles from home and it's probably more from that we've ended up with farmers asking us to deal with goose problems. Sam and I do a lot of wildfowling out on the NW coast so we are already kitted with deecs and stuff so when we do get asked the question then we are ready to roll immediately. A lot of folks looking for shooting go door knocking but you need to do that the right way and that means approaching farmers when they do have crop damage issues - look for gas guns and scarecrows on fields, big lots of birds and obvious crop damage and target those farms pointing out what you've seen. Geese can do a fair bit of damage particularly if it's wet.
@@kyetodd6005 one things I would say is that it's easier to get goose shooting if you have your foot in the door so try for rabbiting or pigeons first. Another thing to keep in mind is farmers frequently don't like letting new folks on during the shooting season so we tend to leave our farm visits until the start of February unless we see that there's a major problem
@@kyetodd6005 you can't beat proper coastal wildfowling, if I had to choose one shooting sport that would be it. Sadly our club has a ban on social media posts so I can't put up any videos
Not sure about the translation on this? Are you asking why we didn't shoot more and asking if they edible?? Google translates it as "You guys are having a bit of fun, and the rest of it's not edible!!?" The geese we shoot are all edible and we use them all or, sometimes, we give a few to the farmer or friends. We shot as many as we needed in order to move them on from the place they were damaging. I could have shot more had I wanted but what I shot was sufficient for my needs.
Do you not do owt with the legs and thighs ? 4 legs in slow cooker in red wine lovely, and how old is that dog ? i have one that is a hard working little bitch dead keen on shoot days when we are out picking up but a total fruit cake rest of time ,
Sorry for the delayed reply Gary. I only rarely use the thighs but I know I should make the effort. That said they don't get wasted as our ferrets love goose so they get the carcasses or we sometimes give the breasted out carcass to falconers to feed to birds of prey. Remy was about 20 months old in that video. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Aye, you can never have too many deecs
Great shooting and loved the processing of the geese. Vacuum packing looks really slick!

Good shooting, and loved the bit at the end with Remmy, brilliant that you left that in!
Thanks Matt.

Cheers Abe, appreciate the comments. Glad you enjoyed it as much as I enjoy putting them together.
Another good one Robert and Remy is so like my yellow lab, he so lovely but does the job well done both of you.
Cheers Keith.
Spot on Rob, good effort on your own!

Great video
Another cracking video bud with some good shots , think you should definately just make a video of remmy running amok
Thanks Davy. Well, it's Pheasant Shooting tomorrow so that's Remy's favourite form of rioting so I'll see if I can video a few misdemeanours.
Apparently it is a game!
Great shooting in not too good conditions. Just one question why not use the thigh meat or is it not worth it

I didn't love her tonight when I was duck shooting and she jumped over the front of the hide!
Remmmmmy 😂😂😂 good shooting lad.
Thank you my friend.
Is it hard getting goose shooting land and how did you get yours
