  • Hey what's up everyone, I've been wearing a lot of fitted hats this summer and wanted to show you guys the best method that I have figured out to give them a perfect curve. Hope I can help you guys with styling your hats and wearing them out!

    I use a Velcro strap and a metal tumbler. Once I curved the bill I wet my palm with water and pat the bill until it is wet, NOT DRIPPING, and the let it dry. About 8 to 12 hours later it has a perfect curve.

    A note and a question: when you bend the brim, the cap becomes roomier and just a bit less snug; That's what I do to my 100% Polyester 59Fifty NEs.
    In terms of sizing though, when I measure with a tape and size my dome with the 9Fifty snap size, I am a 7 3/8 but then the fresh 7-3/8 59Fifties are mad tight for me. Do you size up? I see you're wearing yours quite loose and relaxed in the picture. Thanks dude.

      I size up only because of my hair, but I do prefer a relaxed fit on my hats but nothing too loose

      @@ArringtonC thanks dude! I grew a pandemic mane too which definitely adds to tightness of my fitteds; Just copped a NYY on-field classic under 28USD and gone a size up on that. Excited to see how that'll turn out :)

    Thanks bro! I bought a on field baseball hat from under armour, and I cannot bend the brim for the life of me! Its thicker and sturdier than New Era also it is shorter. I can put a massive bend in it and literally 5 mins of wearing it, it is almost flat again. Even does this if I do the rubber band trick. Do you have any idea how to keep the bend on one of these?

    Dope video broo. I got a question I measured my head and got around 23inches what size do you recommend I go with for a fitted hat? Never got one before

    • @ArringtonC
      @ArringtonC  3 роки тому

      I'm no expert, but a 7 and 1/8 would probably fit you well. If you aren't buying online, go to a store like Lids try a few sizes out around there until you get a fit you like. Hope I could help bro!

    Does it have to be those big rubber bands? Can I use hair band? And is it necessary to bend it before putting on a band I’m scared that I might fk it up by bending it lol

    • @ArringtonC
      @ArringtonC  4 роки тому +2

      A smaller rubber band should work just as well, I had to double mine because the band was so large. And I would recommend bending it a little before you put the band on so it has a start. Hope I could help!

    • @ArringtonC
      @ArringtonC  3 роки тому +5

      a 7 and 3/8 is a pretty standard size but I went up to a 7 and 5/8 cause of the space my hair takes up. You could try that or if you can, go to a Lids near you and try some on until you find a good fit. Hope I helped bro
