Andy said it
People care more about offensive players than defensive ones mainly bc they're more fun to watch
That's the predominant reason why T-Mac is a HOF and Big Ben is not although I think he deserves to be a HOF
Offense> defense
You can’t be older than 10 Tmac was a legend. He was as good as Kobe before getting injured
@@jcvlooogs5706 you're a joke. Potential and talent don't get you into the HOF idiot. TMac had 5 good years in which he accomplished nothing. Wallace is an all-time defender, multiple time defensive player of the year and champion. Seriously do you know anything dumbass? Calling someone 10 when you yourself is clearly no older than 12 to think that being a good player is enough to be in the HOF. Don't have kids we don't need people like you. Moron.
@@makis7383 that should have no bearing on why he gets into the HOF. Penny Hardaway did just as much as him and made the finals and isn't in the there. But TMac is? There is no way to slice it where its logical TMac is there. Short prime and he accomplished nothing outside of 2 scoring titles.
As a hardcore Mavs fan, there are very few players I loved watching in another uniform, but he was always one of them. Probably my all-time favorite in that category. He played 8 inches taller than he was. He was an absolute beast of a defender, and I love watching him pull the chair out from under bigger centers.
Ben Wallace and Shawn Marion always looked taller than 6'7", 6'8" to me. Wallace had length.
1 of my favorite players of all time! His slam cover was iconic
Ibaka couldve had the ben wallace effect, but he stopped caring about defense and wanted to shoot 3 pointers instead
Thats not ibaka fault that's the changing of leauge fault
And won a chip.
and he won a chip and got a bag, when the league changes and you dont you get left behind ask Andre Drummond
I love his game. He knows what his role is and he perfects it. 6'9 and could bully Shaq. Dominant inside defense and great perimeter defense. Also best rebounder outside of Dwight in his era.
Ben Wallace was a monster and deserves to be in the hall of fame. I always respected how good he was
Ben was one of those rare defensive players who was a joy to watch. He elevated defense in (almost) the same way that Dr. J elevated offense. ;)
Big Ben was a beast in his prime.
Im old enough to remember Bird vs Magic , Bad Boys, MJ's Bulls, San Antonio's Dynasty and that shamble that was Miami. That Pistons from 04\05 are my favorite team I ever watched. Ben and Rasheed, Billups, Hamilton, Prince, these guys where the definition of team play, effort, and heart. You watch the NBA in any era and teams take effort breaks throughout a game or season, it is understandable. A long season and a long post season and conserving some fuel in the tank is a legit thing. However, those Piston teams every damn trip down the floor against them they would D up like it was game seven. Alot of that was because of Ben Wallace. One of my favorite NBA highlights to this day was when he not only blocked Shaq, but put Shaq on his ass with only one hand. Great player should be in HOF.
Future hall of famer 💯💯💯💯
nope he wasnt good long enough
@@justinalley3399 what’d you say?
My game was just like his in high school. One of my best games I didn’t score a point but I grabbed 18 rebounds and blocked 5 shots which was a state record in the State of Alabama.
I met Ben Wallace last year in a bar in downtown Los Ángeles. He was in town for the all star game . Very cool , humble dude. Bought a round for everyone .
oBADKIDRANDYo do you know Ken Moe?
I was a kid just really startin to get into basketball and choose what team I wanna root for. Ben “Fear the fro” Wallace and that team was the reason Im a Pistons fan to this day.
1:19 bro was so good he made 5 defensive first teams in 4 years
You forgot that Monstrous Block against Shaq as well.
Something that was unbelievable and so impressive. Just for that, he should be in the HOF.
Ben Wallace was a beast and he's the reason why I love Defensive players and Detroit Pistons. They make the difference.
Only real ones will watch this twice
As a Heat fan I saw Big Ben’s impact in the regular season and playoffs. He deserves to be in the HOF no doubt
I literally just watched this right before they took it down 🤣
Exposed 😂

Big Ben had so many gamechanging moments I will forever love the 6'9" Virginia union man!!
The man played at 100% all game in EVERY game. His hustle was outta this world!
Big Ben is now already in the Hall of Fame. He is definitely THE greatest undrafted ever and nobody will ever compete for that title.
*Ben Wallace & Draymond Green are similar players*
They’re GREAT at Everything except Scoring
NBA fans look at scoring & judge players instantly
Don’t be fooled people, Draymond Green & Ben Wallace are both great players
Kgc 25 please never compare draymond green to the great Ben Wallace ever again.
@@user-qy3qf3bu6x you are the most unbiased person I've seen in UA-cam.
*we know* 🙄
@@user-qy3qf3bu6x draymond isn't there yet. Slow down. His defensive statistics, if you actually look, have been decreasing slowly each season. He is overrated.
Lol not really. The closest player to Ben wallace right now in similarities is Montrezl Harrell. Undersized with a good reach, shot blocking abilities and hustle. Wallace also had good defense, good at catching alley oops, and fought for every single rebound
While he was critical to the Pistons D , it was when they acquired Sheed that put them over the top, dude was like a KG lite.
Ben Wallace is top 5 in defensive rating in the regular season, and number 1 in defensive rating in the playoffs. Never forget that.
I met him in person he is big and soft spoken. He told me even if you're not in basketball do what you love and don't let size ruined your confidence. I was just 5'8 i am now a coach and trainer for an MMA sport.
Big Ben was the defensive player of the decade.. dude was blocking Shaq and Yao like it was nothing, you couldn’t bring the ball into the paint on the 04 pistons without getting swarmed
Wallace definitely deserves in. He was kind of an NBA icon for a while with his signature look and play. Even remember him featured on one of the NBA video game commercials.
He's a Killer!!!
6'9 Forward blocked 7'1 Shaq
@Just a Man its clean. Watch all replays, bigben only hit the ball vs shaq
@SkyH23 and a center lol... But yeah that's listed height, Shaq isn't 7'1 without shoes either
C-Webb Was Ben Wallace Replacement For Detroit Pistons In Late 2006 When I Was 13 Years Old In The 8th Grade.
