a man who actually made basketball interesting with his charisma and hard work, talent and first at all dedication to the game and his way of competitive basketball. the league misses you Big Ben ! nobody believed in him. similar to Jokic though
"Big Ben" Ben Wallace was incredible string rebounder, heck one of a select few men strong ennough to stop "The Diesel" Shaquille O'neal from dunking! He alone was the one I was taken back when his Pistons defeated the dynasty Shaq & Kobe Lakers for the NBA championship 2004. He had my MVP vote for sure (Still I was might sad that Karl Malone did nor get his more then well earned ring). I felt it was miss that he left the Pistons for the Bulls and then the Cavaliers, but he at least came back to finnish his career with his team! I always love people stories of those who through hard and honest work and determination goes from rags to riches. He deserves all rewards indeed!!! # 17 NBA seasons - representing 4 NBA teams: Washington Wizards (1996-1999), Orlando Magic (1999-2000), 2x Detroit Pistons (2000-2006/2009-2012), Chicago Bulls (2006-2008) & Cleveland Cavaliers (2008-2009). # NBA champion 2004 + Finals 2005. # 4× NBA All-Star player: 2003, 2004, 2005 & 2006. # 3× All-NBA Second Team: 2003, 2004 & 2006. # 2× All-NBA Third Team: 2002 & 2005. # 5× NBA All-Defensive First Team: 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 & 2006. # 1x NBA All-Defensive Second Team: 2007. # 4× NBA Defensive Player of the Year Award: 2002, 2003, 2005 & 2006. # 2× NBA rebounding champion: 2002 & 2003. # 1x NBA blocks champion: 2002. # No. 3 retired by Detroit Pistons. # Cover player for the NBA 2K5 video game. Thank you for showing appreciation to my Basketball Team: The Detroit Pistons. Thank you. Hopefully we will be back to win another Championship and rewrite history once again, in the near future.
A four-time Defensive Player of the Year, Ben Wallace was one of the most intimidating rim protectors in NBA history, anchoring the historically excellent defense of the championship-winning Detroit Pistons in the mid-2000s. He was capable of completely shutting down the paint, and he remains an unquestioned legend on that end. "I didn't get to see [Bill] Russell or [Wilt] Chamberlain, but I can't remember a guy that wreaks so much havoc of the court like Ben does," former Pistons president and NBA legend in his own right Joe Dumars said after Wallace was granted his fourth DPOY, per The Associated Press (via ESPN).
This is Great Video for Ben Wallace 💯Much respect to y'all for this...Big Ben Wallace represented for all of the brothaz who had to really grind out more than the average to live out his dreams but he definitely toook the opportunities that he was given and never looked back... Being from Detroit I didn't know what to expect when the Pistons traded for Ben Wallace in that sign and trade deal w/Grant Hill who was a Legend here in just 6 seasons...Big Ben quickly became the City favorite in just 2 seasons..I just remember how lit the City was when the 2004 Pistons went on that great Championship run! Ben Wallace will always be loved by us Detroiters and he's part of the City and the Great Culture we have here👌🏿 Salute
A center who was a lengthy fluid 6'8 and just scratching 6'9 📏 in shoes 👠. For what he lacked in size at his position, he made up for it with pure brute strength💪🧱. Big Ben went down as arguably the greatest rim protector of his era ⚓ just by benching 🏋️ 350-400lbs habitually.
Love Ben Wallace. I was a Bulls fan that he made like the Pistons. I was happy when the Bulls got him & even though it didn't work out, I'm still happy Ben was a Bull for a bit.
There should have been a new stat created because of Ben the Tapout he would go up and he wouldn't get the rebound but he would tap the ball out to one of his teammates simultaneously preventing the other team from getting the rebound
Technically, I think he still gets credited for the rebound. It's whoever makes the 1st contact with the ball. Just like if a deflection leads to a steal, the 1 who makes contact with the ball 1st is credited with a steal.
He was an anomaly, he was undersized in an era of dominant big men and was the most intimidating defensive presence that elevated his team. Many say he was that era's Wes Unseld
If he won an MVP with his defense as a primary factor we could have a different league today rather than this soft you score I score rubbish. But the profit and overall audience might suffer because garbage is what sells on today's day and age.
John 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
I do love how people wanna compare ben wallace with bill russell, which I find to be funny because your comparing a player from the 2000s with a supposedly plumber and not only that, your doing it when ben wallace is a offense liability and literally they aren't even the same height, they literally aren't at all. Not only that, he only has 4 good years in detroit and than as soon as he got traded or went somewhere else, he just instantly fell off and never was the same ever again and never made any of his teammates better or wasn't even a leader. So no there will never be another bill russell ever again in the nba at all, no greg oden wasn't bill russell nor wasn't hassan whiteside, to be bill russell is harder than the eye test tells you.
Big Ben is an inspiration. Bro is all heart and efforts on the floor.
So happy Big Ben made it to the Hall of Fame. The '04 Pistons team was the most fun I had watching basketball.
THANK YOU, i have wanted a video about Ben Wallace for the longest
Same. My favorite player!
I remember watching him control games without scoring the NBA needs him right now to help with the Defensive part of the game
As a Spurs fan that Detroit team with big Ben was toughest they faced...that was probably the last big man battle we had in the Finals vs Tim Duncan
Attended Tri-C here in Cuyahoga county. Dude is a beast!
UNDERRATED BIG MAN he's ERA 💪🔥💪
One of the best defensive players and defensive teams in nba history

My All time favorite. Undrafted to 5x All NBA, 4x DPOY, 3 top 10 MVP finishes, & Champion.
THE GREATEST DEFENDER EVER
One of my all time Fav.

He was my go to center playing 2k. Defense was OP.
Always loved this man's work ethic

The first small ball center. Could switch easy and was one of the best help defenders of all time.
Awesome video, thanks 👍🏾
Props for making this video
Appreciate the greatness that was Big Ben
much love to those '04 Pistons ❤
THE BEAST FROM THE EAST
HBCU 🙌🏿
Great fucking video!!!
Much awaited
Ben Wallace. Undrafted. Champion. Hall of famer.
Never forget Big Ben
This is 🔥
you know ball if you can remember Big Ben blocking Shaq
Saying a barely adult man that's 6'8" isn't that big is wild. Land of giants
still underrated player somehow
Fear The Fro

Top 75 player of all time like Dwight.
Big Ben!
the story of how being a greatest defender of a generation won't make you a first ballot hall of famer
Big Ben
Bababababababa BEN….WawawaWallace

I miss how mommas usta be growing up in the 90s now it ain't hardly nun like that left 😢
The Piston's 04 championship holds more weight then LeFlops 3 rings

they really gave his 3 to rodney stuckey after he left...
Love big ben
Rise or another Fall for Charlotte Hornets new ERA & new owners your next video theScore 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Ben Wallace and Charles Oakley! Virginia Union's best to the NBA! #Panthers #HBCU
Hard does payoff.
Why no mention of Wallace's conflict with Noah in Chicago that probably led to him being traded, and Chicago went with a younger core group
Where can i get that photo of Ben holding his wrist like that
