I'm 13 years old my whole life I wished I was born earlier in the days of rock now I'm here stuck with rap and pop nobody really cares about rock but rock led on to this generations music rock inspired people to make their own music before rock there was other types of music and without that we wouldn't have ROCK!!!

We hated authority, including our parents and just wanted to destroy everything. Punk was the furthest thing from the 1969 Summer of Love. And none of us would be seen dead with flowers in our hair. Listen to some Sex Pistols and you'll get what I mean.

The hippy revolution was all love and peace and flowers in their hair, the punk revolution was about defiance and vandalism, razor blades and safety pins in our ears. The music was different, even the drugs were different, she uses the term punk rocker, but describes a hippy love child. It just grates on me, I think it's a nice song if you don't know what punk was all about.
