I've toured "Woodbury" among other places where the show was filmed. It is in Senoia, Ga. It was a pretty cool trip.

Shane couldn't even lead a community of goldfish, though. The Governor is more evil, but Shane is more incompetent.

I think even Merle was shocked with the killing of those military men. I’m not sure why the governor killed them. Wouldn’t they be an asset?

They were a threat to his authority. Well organized properly trained soldiers especially the military leaders would see through him & possibly try to take over from him.

It’s never touched on in the show but Merle was a former Marine sniper, so that could also have something to do with his dislike of killing the soldiers
That was all planned lol. Merle's done shady work all his life. He's done the dirty jobs for Gov for a while it looks like. That wasn't shock, but satisfaction. He's done worse being in the Military.
I LOVE to hate the Governor. He's one of my all time favorite characters
Milton reminds me a bit of The Doctor in the movie Day of the dead (1985) He's also trying to make them behave and study their attitude towards human. Considering Romero's zombies movie are pioneer of the genre, it could easily be some easter egg.
They definitely are similar and you could be right, it might be a nod to Romero.
Later on, after the prison fell, when Glenn was still looking for Maggie, one of the walkers in the tunnel Glenn and Tara found themselves trapped in was done up to look like Bub from Day of the Dead.
when watching this episode, the governor reminded me of what you said back in season 2. about needed someone inbetween rick and shane. shane new how to act fast and make the hard decisions when rick couldnt, but overall rick was the better leader at the end of the day. the governor is clearly an amazing leader judging off of the state of Woodberry and its residents. but hes an animal like shane who will do whatever to survive.

Enjoying your reviews! It’s awesome watching someone experience TWD for the first time! I live very close to where they film and have gotten to see some awesome filming over the last 11/12 years! I’ve got to meet most if not all the cast members over the years! I’m going to be so sad when it’s over 😭 but I did just find out that they will be filming two spin-offs 11miles from my house! One of the spin-offs is called Tales of the walking dead! WooHoo!

A few videos back, I mentioned they like to do Easter Eggs in this show. One of the severed heads in the fish tanks. Was a replica of the severed head of Ben Gardner, from the movie “Jaws.”

Love The Governor. Him & Merle were the best parts of Season 3.
Fun fact the real Woodbury, GA is in my home county, but they actually filmed this on Main Street in Senoia, GA, because it looked better, also another fun fact, the set for Woodbury is about 100 yards from the set for Alexandria, which is about 200 yards from the set for Hilltop, basically most of this show is filmed in the same town save for a few notable scenes, but all are filmed within 50 miles of Senoia at least

Every time I see this episode I get so mad at Andrea’s stupidity to except things for what they seem instead of staying cautious and keeping her eyes open, love Michonne (samurai lady) for that, she definitely sees the clues and tries to get Andrea to wake up, she is such an awesome addition, 👍👍

@@andralfoo The Governor wants to kill everyone who isn't on his side. For Batman people are a ressource. Just because of that fact and when the Governor told Maggie to take off her shirt in 3.07 I find him more unscrpulous.
