Very nice. Be careful washing honey and wax into your septic system. Bob Binnie tells a horror story of how he had to cut the floor slab and install a new line. For greasing food processing equipment, you should consider mineral oil. Vegetable builds up gunk between uses. I learned that with the bearings on my meat grinder.
Awesome honey room! U got Lots of time invested that! U could probably easily put a motor on that extractor with a pulley & belt, take the hand crank off. ...I got an old 4 frame extractor given to me from an old timer, nothing fancy,it's electric, does the job.
Thanks for watching! I’ve got a Hillco 18 frame extractor now and their bottling tank too. Lots of upgrades and looking at more. Need to do another honey house video.
@@troysimpsonhoneyridgefarm6 how much do u sell a quart for? People around me in NE Ohio are selling for $20 a quart, which I think they should charge more that way I can charge more...that's alot of honey for 20 bucks
Thanks! I had one at a previous house but while it was nice enough, it wasn’t built for that purpose. Can’t wait to upgrade some of the equipment and grow the operations.
Just found your video. Is your flooring in big sheets or like maybe 18”x18” squares. I just purchased a tractor trailer an making it my honey house. Did not know if I was going to paint it or do something else like yours but just going to paint walls ??. Thanks

Thanks for watching Phillip. I think I’m good on the drain line. The vegetable oil does build up over time though.

Hey Kathy, the floor is concrete covered with epoxy.
Where did you purchase your holding tanks with stands? 5:37
Local beekeeper that sold out. I think they came from Kelley’s.
