I have only ever spent 3 days in NY- in the bronx - it was crazy lol... but I am a FL boy - raised in the crazy but you give me light to see the other side... Wow this is insane. I used to dream about living in nyc watching all your videos. I’ve been here for 4 years now. And Casey’s back it’s all so nostalgic
@@prod.kcsimmons7221 8 months of crappy, cold, miserable weather; then 2 months of mild rainy weather; finally 2 months of good weather. Small window of opportunity to enjoy the city. Downtown is where its at. Hanging out with friends is definitely fun. But lower Manhattan is just about 2.5sq miles. There are 5 boroughs- manhattan is just one of em. Subway/bus transit sucks and is treacherous, you must be alert at all times in case someone attacks you. Road traffic is a nightmare all day, it took me 60 minutes to go 20 blocks yesterday (1 mile in 60 minutes!) Take a bike? It was 25 degrees with blistering winds! Thats why you see Casey biking/skating and working in a tiny radius for his videos, it looks good and is safer) 5 Boroughs: Bronx? Dangerous. Staten Island? Might as well not even count Queens? Fun in diversity but nobody wants to really be there if they could afford manhattan. Queens has the quiet chill life? Why are you even living in NYC if you want the suburb life? 😆 Brooklyn? Dangerous. Manhattan? The only borough worth being in if you come here. The city is not one big party. Just focused on lower manhattan. (I never said Manhattan is cheap) Casey is working in an even tighter area. He is filming around Canal/ Tribeca area a 1 mile radius. This does NOT represent ALL of NYC. Its just a specific bubble. Keep in mind, Casey is RICH. He’s a multimillionaire. He can do a lot of things the average Joe CANNOT. But in that 2-3 month window of good weather (July-September)? Hard to beat hanging out in these areas: Soho, Noho, Chinatown, Tribeca, LES, West Village, and Bowery! Just one? SOHO!
I shed a couple tears at the end. I grew up watching the daily vlogs from you Casey. Went to the city in 2018 and made it a point to stop by your studio. This warms my heart more than words can describe.

As a native New Yorker, it takes years to truly love this city. I meet people who move here all the time and don't actually get what makes the city special. Yes seeing crazy things in the street but it's also those window washers, or people like Marlan. Casey is one of the few that gets how to show people that side of the city. Welcome home Casey.
This is spot on. Living in NYC my entire life and then as an adult… I didn’t realize how much it was part of me. My husband and I lost our place to a sewage floor (think house fire). We moved right outside the city while we recover (we lost everything). I’m next to the LIRR and a 15 drive from the F… but it’s not the same. My drive is also different. We miss the people, the community. Plan to move back as soon as we are able
@@blasborg yes exactly! Taking a microscope to see some of those really small things things that make the city great. You don't even notice them fully, they happen in the background as you go to work or get coffee and it just becomes part of your life.
Ever since Casey left NYC everything went south. Now that he's back the world feels whole again. Seeing him cruise through cars on his boosted board while going to his iconic studio is something I didn't know how much I missed.
For the last 3 videos or so I just find myself grinning like a little child thanks to seeing Casey so happy. It just feels so right and I'm so happy for you, Casey!

I've moved out of the city during the hight of covid but seeing you back in nyc has reminded me why I love the city so much. I can't wait for the winter snowy videos like the ones you made snowboarding in time square.
When I first started my college in 2016, I discovered Casey's channel, and for the rest of my college years, I would be coming home from college anticipating and watching every one of his vlogs. Ofc, after Casey left for Cali, I kinda stopped following for a while. Not to mention the last few years was hectic, Covid and shit, and I also went through ups and downs, got busy. Now seeing Casey is back in New York City making these old school vlogs again just brings back all of the good vibes. So nostalgic. A lot of things have changed through the years. But one thing that remains the same is how good Casey's New York vlogs are. 2022 is getting better and better.
That school part with Casey’s videos is so true. It was a highlight of my time at school and kept me inspired with my dreams for my future that I can honestly say came true and keep going that direction. Have a great life everyone ✨

It's so comforting to see Casey back in New York, he's fits in so well to the big energy that's abundant there. When he moved to CA it was like watching a weird new style Green Acres TV show. The NY city boy who's a missfit when put anywhere else. Expensive lesson learned casey, NEVER LEAVE NY AGAIN.

Downtown is where its at. Hanging out with friends is definitely fun. But lower Manhattan is just about 2.5sq miles. There are 5 boroughs- manhattan is just one of em.
Subway/bus transit sucks and is treacherous, you must be alert at all times in case someone attacks you. Road traffic is a nightmare all day, it took me 60 minutes to go 20 blocks yesterday (1 mile in 60 minutes!) Take a bike? It was 25 degrees with blistering winds!
Thats why you see Casey biking/skating and working in a tiny radius for his videos, it looks good and is safer)
5 Boroughs:
Bronx? Dangerous.
Staten Island? Might as well not even count
Queens? Fun in diversity but nobody wants to really be there if they could afford manhattan. Queens has the quiet chill life? Why are you even living in NYC if you want the suburb life? 😆
Brooklyn? Dangerous.
Manhattan? The only borough worth being in if you come here. The city is not one big party. Just focused on lower manhattan. (I never said Manhattan is cheap)
Casey is working in an even tighter area. He is filming around Canal/ Tribeca area a 1 mile radius. This does NOT represent ALL of NYC. Its just a specific bubble.
Keep in mind, Casey is RICH. He’s a multimillionaire. He can do a lot of things the average Joe CANNOT.
But in that 2-3 month window of good weather (July-September)? Hard to beat hanging out in these areas:
Soho, Noho, Chinatown, Tribeca, LES, West Village, and Bowery! Just one? SOHO!
Goes without saying that New York City was one of the best characters in Casey's videos... so it feels good to have them back!

As a native New Yorker, it takes years to truly love this city. I meet people who move here all the time and don't actually get what makes the city special. Yes seeing crazy things in the street but it's also those window washers, or people like Marlan. Casey is one of the few that gets how to show people that side of the city. Welcome home Casey.
This is spot on. Living in NYC my entire life and then as an adult… I didn’t realize how much it was part of me. My husband and I lost our place to a sewage floor (think house fire). We moved right outside the city while we recover (we lost everything). I’m next to the LIRR and a 15 drive from the F… but it’s not the same. My drive is also different. We miss the people, the community. Plan to move back as soon as we are able
His video style kinda reminds me of How To with John Wilson -- another show which, in its best moments shows the beautiful "real" parts of the city!!
@@blasborg yes exactly! Taking a microscope to see some of those really small things things that make the city great. You don't even notice them fully, they happen in the background as you go to work or get coffee and it just becomes part of your life.
Ever since Casey left NYC everything went south. Now that he's back the world feels whole again. Seeing him cruise through cars on his boosted board while going to his iconic studio is something I didn't know how much I missed.

what a great way to celebrate moving back to NYC. I was in for 2020 and I chose 2023 as my resolution so I’ll be running next year and I am planning to move back to NYC by next summer so I can finish my training in Central Park and be living back home…FINALLY🗽🥰

When I first started my college in 2016, I discovered Casey's channel, and for the rest of my college years, I would be coming home from college anticipating and watching every one of his vlogs. Ofc, after Casey left for Cali, I kinda stopped following for a while. Not to mention the last few years was hectic, Covid and shit, and I also went through ups and downs, got busy. Now seeing Casey is back in New York City making these old school vlogs again just brings back all of the good vibes. So nostalgic. A lot of things have changed through the years. But one thing that remains the same is how good Casey's New York vlogs are. 2022 is getting better and better.
