My two year of service on the Doulos took us from Germany in September 1979, up in British Isle and Ireland than we headed south in the Azores (Portugal) to go west in the Caribbean. Following this we hit the South American continent went all around it. Ended the two year tour in Brazil (September 1981) will remember this all my life!
greatwave1 I saw this ship in such times in Maracaibo Venezuela, i was a kid, my father was in the beggining of his path with jesus, we when onboard and as a kid I saw a lot of books, this ship was a floating city library and also I saw a bunch of food, that's I remember, when I came out I saw the name outside "Doulos", this ship is part of my memories and my childhood for real..¡
I would SO love to go on the Doulos before it is decommissioned. My sister served on it for a little over two years. I am so proud, and a little jealous, of her!
