I’ll never forget… I heard this song in March 2009, and it was an immediate favorite. Only about a week later, my husband was in a terrible accident - 70 foot fall - and we had just moved to a different state, leaving all our family behind,, because we believed God told us to move here (long story). His accident was an absolute shock, and yet it was a miracle that he was actually still alive. He actually had an out-of-body experience, and God sent him back, into a crushed body and horrific pain… The first thing I did when we got home from the hospital, was gather my 6 and 8 year old sons and worship the Lord. He is my strength and comfort and peace that passes understanding. We had no friends in the new area yet, but God was faithful. He’s always with us. He’s enough. I remember singing this song with many tears - “There may be pain in the night, but joy comes in the morning!” Declaring that over my husband, and also declaring that God would somehow make “all things work together for my good.” When we are born into God’s kingdom, He doesn’t promise us heaven in this fallen world full of troubles, but He promises to be with us through every dark valley.
So, what's the rest of the story?

First listened to this in 2018 in Uganda, today I'm like 40 minutes away from this Church. Kim and team are true worshipers straight from Heaven. Why Christmas 🎄 music?
I USED TO HAVE SUPER BAD ANXIETY. It was horrible. I had it for about 4 years. I would overthink things all the time, I was scared to raise my hand in class to answer a question because I was scared to be judged, I couldn't even talk to a girl one on one because I was so anxious! I wanted to be in theatre because I liked acting but I didn't want people to judge me in a bad way for getting into theatre and being some "weird theatre kid". I never went to church, I never really believed in a god, I just did my own thing. And my life was MISERABLE. I would get suicidal thoughts, but I never attempted to do it. Then one day in 2018, my friend invited me to a Bible study at our high school. I thought about it and decided to go and check it out. And on October 9, 2018, my LIFE was changed forever. I don't remember what the person talked about at the Bible study, but I remember leaving the classroom so happy and excited to come back the next week. So I started to go to the Bible study every week and begin to learn about God. The real and living God of the Bible. After a while my friend invited me to his church and I started to go and learn even more about God and have friends to talk about God too. My anxiety started to fade away, but I still had moments where I would have anxiety attacks and freak out. And by the way, it was easy to HIDE my anxiety. So you might have someone in your life that is dealing with anxiety and you don't even know it. That's why we need to check up on our friends and actually ask them how they're doing. Going back to my story, over the summer I went to this huge church conference and on the last night, the preacher said "if anyone's going through anything, I want you to come to the front and ask God to heal you" and I remember I went to the front and I got down on my knees and I cried out to God and I said, "God, if you're actually real, if you can actually heal me of my anxiety, SHOW ME." And right after I did that, I heard GOD for the first time. And He told me "I've healed you from your anxiety right now, and it's not going to come back." And after that happened the preacher said "If anyone got healed, I want you to come up onto the stage and tell everyone" and I didn't even think about it. I went up onto the stage and told about 900 people that God had healed my anxiety! And my anxiety HAS NOT come back, and I know it never will again because that's who God is. He is the God of healing. The God of miracles! He saved my life! And He's calling you today. Jesus LOVES you and He died for YOU. You can get right with God TODAY and get saved. The Bible says in Romans 10:9 that "whoever confesses with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believes in their heart that God raised Him from the dead shall be saved". It's not about working your way to heaven. Thank God it isn't because there is no way we could ever work our way into heaven! It's about believing in Jesus, believing He died on the cross for you and accepting Him into your life as your Lord and Savior. I will never forget how alone I was when my wife had left. I hated my life. Work was unbearable. I couldn't talk to anybody about what was going on, because I was embarrassed and angry. I just kept reading the Bible everyday in hopes to find the answers as to why everything around me was falling apart.
Our pastor at church wanted to get our youth to attend a Jesus Culture concert, so I decided to look them up on their website. They had worship songs that I quickly fell in love with. I also listened to some of their sermons from the conferences they hosted. I had never heard preaching like this before.
One night after watching one of these sermons, I got on my knees and prayed like I never prayed before. I openly wept and cried out for the Lord's mercy, and for the first time in my life, I got a response to prayer. I know He told me to go to the prayer meeting at the church. I never heard His voice before, but I believed and made it to church just on time.
I am not someone who would ever do this, I was shy, fearful, and always worried about what other people thought, but on that night, one minute into praying with those two ladies that also showed up, I was made BRAND NEW!
My anxiety was taken away. Anger gone. Unforgiveness missing. Regret forgotten. For the first time in my life I could focus. My head was clear and my burden was lifted! I was born again. I was filled with so much joy, I just kept laughing and crying at the same time. I confessed to those two ladies that I had been trying to end my life, but now I felt overwhelming love for the first time in my life, and it was all because I met Jesus on that night. Where two or three are gathered, there He is.
That was twelve years ago. I still thank God everyday for His mercy and grace, but on this day I also want to thank everyone He has put in my life to get me to draw closer, including the Jesus Culture band, and everyone associated with their outreach. God bless you all richly, in this life and in eternity. Keep up the good work!

I’ve gone through a lot of things in my life. Lost my mom at the age of eleven, to breast cancer. Most recently I’ve lost my Dad, he passed away unexpectedly last October......this song helps me so much. I admit I’m not going to church at the moment. I know one thing though both of my parents are together again & in heaven. Knowing that helps me more than anyone will ever know. I thank God that he’s a Merciful God. He took my dad & I didn’t have to see him suffer. God is good & near when you need him. These words speak to my soul & I can face the day.

The older I get… God is so good!!! I heard this song for the first time at 25yrs old and now at 31yrs! He is still the same and I am just amazed by the way he keeps moving me through city’s. In all this understanding… joy comes in the morning or let me be singing when the evening comes.

It brought me such encouragement as I was just living day to day with a lot of depression and confusion, with little to show for myself. Your album was burned on a blank cd a friend gave me. Best worship I've ever heard. It brought me certainty, the assurance of God's love for me, and your song says, "even of I run away." My whole life I was taught the opposite of true salvation. With that song, how God anointed it, brought the first faith in the most glorious truth we can ever imagine, that it truly is "once saved, always saved," and I know, with your help, that God's love never fails.
