I have a Dell Power Edge R7525 with 24 bays using 12 3.76tb NVME drives using 3rd gen AMD EYPC 2 AMD EPYC 74F3 24-Core Processor and 1tb of 3200mhz DDR4 ram using 8 128gb sticks that server is a beast then dell releases this :)
HI there! Both. Check out page 51 of the Installation and Service Manual here: dl.dell.com/content/manual25024882-dell-poweredge-r7625-installation-and-service-manual.pdf?language=en-us Thanks for watching!
Apparently, that is a yes. Once installed in a Dell system the processor (Intel or AMD) can be moved to another Dell system but not to a different platform under a different manufacturer. You can move it to another Dell platform. HPE does this too. Also similar to what a TPM or trusted platform module will do. Great question! Thanks for watching!
I think three of these would make a nice Proxmox cluster; can’t have my home’s DHCP services interrupted!
Thank you ver much! Best video about this that i found...
High praise indeed! Thanks for watching and commenting!

Technology never ages well but that said, your system look like it kicks ass! Well played! Thanks for watching and commenting! 🔥🔥🔥
Nice video, One question, How do I know if it supports UEFI, LEGACY bios, or both.

Epic indeed 🤩
But vendor locking is just a fiasco 🤬👎
Edit: waiting for the Day when these servers will ditch fans for liquid cooling 💦
Does Dell lock AMD processors once installed?
