    I have a Dell Power Edge R7525 with 24 bays using 12 3.76tb NVME drives using 3rd gen AMD EYPC 2 AMD EPYC 74F3 24-Core Processor and 1tb of 3200mhz DDR4 ram using 8 128gb sticks that server is a beast then dell releases this :)

    Does Dell lock AMD processors once installed?

      Apparently, that is a yes. Once installed in a Dell system the processor (Intel or AMD) can be moved to another Dell system but not to a different platform under a different manufacturer. You can move it to another Dell platform. HPE does this too. Also similar to what a TPM or trusted platform module will do. Great question! Thanks for watching!
