To be honest, I think yoimiya is not as mid as people say.
I may be biased since she’s one of my favourite characters in the game, but I believe her team versatility and her ease of play make her an outstanding unit, especially if you’re a mobile player, or someone who doesn’t want to focus too much on gameplay mechanics. And she’s a really cheap option for a good hypercarry.
She’s complete at c0, has plenty of weapon options at any level of investment, can play a huge variety of teams, and so many artifact sets and 2pc/2pc viable options that make her extremely easy to build.
her damage is not that much lower than a c0 + r1 BP weapon Hu Tao, or even a c1 + r1 BP weapon hu Tao, especially if you’re lacking the support units to build hu Tao’s best teams, which are VV Vape and Furina Double Hydro.
She can be played in vape, overvape, overload, mono-pyro, and to a certain extent even melt and burgeon comps. She can make great use of any double hydro and double geo cores, yet she doesn’t require a doubly hydro team to have consistent vape reactions, and while she isn’t a “meta” valued character, she can easily clap floor 12 single target’s side.
I don’t think she should be praised or considered on the same level as other on-field units with a higher damage ceiling such as Hu Tao or Al Haitam, but she doesn’t deserve to be considered a mid or overworld-only unit, (even though she feels fantastic to play in overworld), and if you like her as a character and/or her playstyle, she won’t disappoint you at all.
She’s a highly competent unit that can be built easily and pull off some outstanding numbers with a good variety of teams.
Not to mention juggling yoimiya is one of the funniest things you can do in the game.
I definitely think she's viable, and therefore, it isn't bad to play her, but I do think she is mid, if not below mid, for a Ganyu+ five star DPS. Mid means in the middle, average, and, well, if you look at five star pyro DPS, you have Lyney and Hu Tao above her,. The two pre-Ganyu units (and this matters, because Ganyu is when the target numbers for five star character design changed) are below her. Klee because of her klunkiness. Like many pyro DPS, she wants vapes, but she wants to vape that 5th hit, but unfortunately, lacks the "dash doesn't interrupt the attack chain" Itto has. So she tends to want a shielder. A Trait she shares with other archer DPSs, to be fair. And so she doesn't really have a ton of teams due to that. She's also an archer, which means low poise and low def, which is not ideal for those mobile players, unless, of course, you're using a shielder (which typically means Zhongli). She lacks decent AoE, so either you have to get that elsewhere or do without.
The real issue is the next region is pyro.
After we get Alhaitham who is dendro in Sumeru and Neuvillette who is hydro in Fontaine, we already know we will get a meta pyro dps in fews months.
Lyney is niche so I don't think he powercreep completly Yoimiya even if he is a bow pyro dps too. Hu Tao is an another story but I think Yoimiya is probably most flexible than her too.
Ayato was easy to use and flexible even if Childe was already stronger than him, he was still have some value before Neuvillette came out.
Now his flexibility and easy to use have just no value anymore.
Yoimiya is really easy to powercreep completly with a strong pyro dps who will be great in single target + in AOE, flexible and easy to use.
The new pyro dps will be probably even stronger than Alhaitham and Neuvillette because this is always the case.
Inazuma the strongest dps was Ayaka, Sumeru was Alhaitham and now they are both behind Neuvillette.
Guess what yoimiya and chevreuse are working
Yoimiya:
Skill + Lclick, Lclick..... -> win. Any weapon + %ATK.
Others:
Aim, collect, be careful not to get hit, check your stamina, charge ultimate ability, needs whale weapon, needs other support characters.
Raiden: good at everything, any group, C0, any weapon. New, F2P, she is the only character you MUST have.
but alhaitham and ayaka are better dps + both have f2p weapons and teams

I have C0 Bennett and I want Raiden so these banners are really easy to justify for me. Also nice video

As someone who owns Harp, Pulse, and Polar i'll make a strong argument Pulse is my favorite on Fischl 90% of the time, or just any ATK scaler in general but i put a lot of focus on her build. If you have the crit-rate in the artifacts then its the easist to use with most results besides probably Aqua. Polar technically is a bit more damage with full setup but even as someone who enjoys that type of stuff from time to time Pulse does almost nearly the same damage without any messing about. The Crit, 20% ATK, and high base damage is a great combo. Point isn't just Fischl although i think her and Sara aesthetically work great with it, but just in general its a great stat stick. Sadly do not own Aqua for best point of comparison but so far as I'm aware its often best but the difference isn't insane, bigger point is how much of a upgrade over 4* options it generally is these days.
Harp if one wonders is great too but if you don't have spare ATK% substats, or are doing lots of ATK% stacking (tenacity, noblesse) with other good stats you want then it falls a bit flat of its true potential.
I consider myself an end game player and im still pulling for raiden she just have way better value , quastion , what do you think of raiden alhaithem aggrevate ? Is it better than fischl?
Finally someone who is realistic about raiden, everyone loves her so they make her seem way better than she actually is. She's replaceable in every team she's in, often by options with higher ceilings (but harder to use like hu tao or childe). For casual or new players she's really good and she won't ever be not useful but for someone like me that's looking for a bit more interesting and unique playstyle she's a skip.
yeah, i'm not blinded by the raiden love so its easier to give an objective overview :D
she is decent & as a jack of all trades she does well for herself. but she gets overrated a lot! i think its due to how easy it is to get raiden's value out, & how she makes teams so much more comfortable to play. there's not much of a skill barrier to entry with raiden
yep, if you already have a better option for all your teams? shogun isn't really needed

Tbh though isn't ever character replaceable, maybe the cricles I'm in she isn't talked like some devine game triviliser that's why I think she isn't overrated, but she is very very good regardless. She isn't some average jack of all trades, she is the best battery in the game, is a better hyperbloom trigger than Kuki, she looks cool as fuck (that is a major contributor to Kazuha's popularity so nothing to be slept on), has the best AoE electro application imo, buffs burst damage and did I mention looks cool as fuck, I think every character is overrated to some extent, Tao and Childe are no exception to that, still that's just my opinion, I'm pulling cuz she's hot

After a Lot of consideration, i'm refraining to pull for yoimiya on day 1. I'll wait till the last day to see if we get arleccino leaks. I'm also considering not pulling at all, because well, we are going to natlan next...
Yoi kicks a$$ during exploration, Im now using bowless team and its a pain, I had to switch to bow units often :)
Agree Yoimiya is pretty good to deal with hillichurl camps real quick. It is great to have her main ability be a skill so you don’t need energy to damage.

Only five stars I have are Hu Tao C0, Yelan C0, Zhongli C0 and Diluc C1, So if I get C0 Raiden with Engulfing Lightning, is that any good or should I go for C1 Raiden, opinions on what I should do 🤔
C0 Raiden, if that's what you want. At that point, stop. C1 Raiden isn't worth it. C2 Raiden is worth more than Engulfing Lightning. When it comes to weapon banners, you should only go in if one of three conditions applies:
1) You really want one of the weapons, but don't mind the other weapon (if Baizhu's weapon is on the banner, don't pull) and you're willing and able to go full Path (worst case: 240 wishes).
2) You want both weapons,, in which case, wish away.
3) You're a whale and can afford to be so.
In this case, with the characters you list, you're better off skipping the weapon banner. Nahida is coming up. Re-runs for Neuv, Lyney, and Furina will be here soon enough. Other new chars around the corner. First get a good pool of characters. Once that's looking good, then consider vertical investment.

If you like the Hyper carry, national, dendro teams Raiden is still a solid unit. And if you already have her and like to experience a c6 character with whale numbers you get it at c3 (assuming you have c6 Sara) experiencing a c6 character with just 3 cons is no brainer pull value in my opinion.
C2, C3 definitely is a game changer. That makes her gameplay statisfying

Engulfing Lighting is a good weapon. But if you don't have cons on her you are better off going for C2 rather than the weapon. The increase in damage is a lot higher. ~Foxfire
I have my Yelan at C6, shes one of my favorite characters to destroy almost everything with. Is Raiden worth pulling for me? I have Yoimiya as well, at C0, though. She could be good, but shes like 70% invested in. Which one would be best for me?

I completely disagree with C6ing Bennett without really thinking it through.
Yes he will go up in value for pyro units.
And sure there aren't many good comps you currently break or make unconfortable to play with him being C6.
But considering how long he has been both META for ATK scaling characters and just being part of the overall meta of this game due to also being able to heal while buffing it is not really about what teams you can brick now but what you can possibly brick in the future.
What if they actually fix phyisical? Suddenly we have a multitude of comps that would not only like to have C5 Bennett but probably lose their strongest buffer.
For me the future impact, especially since Sumeru, isn't something i want to ignore or would tell other people to ignore just for a 15% pyro dmg bonus since the infusion itself, while opening some other playstyles, isn't really a benefit.
Especially since i loved Amy phys with Bennett (before people got onto the he is actually good train) in the early days and would come back to her if they ever fixed physical on a meta level.
So unless Mihoyo promises to give us the ability to readily deactivate and reactivate consts in that future i myself wouldn't recommend to activate it unless someone really loves to push their pyro dps to the limit.
But i agree on Sara and Chevreuse.
Sara is only really good @C6 and currently only really with burst Yae and Ei ....
And Chevreuse will likely also only be really good at C6.
I think quickdraw ranged like Yoimiya will probably benefit from her most.
The thing with Benny is that it depends on your account age. If you are new, don't C6 him yet. Keep your options open. You can't just crush things like floor 12 with sheer raw power. You don't have a bajillion alternatives to run for various characters. Your weapons lack refines. You have far fewer artifacts. You have fewer crowned characters. And so on.
But as your account matures, it won't matter anymore. You'll have the better artifacts. You'll have more characters to better tailor your team to content. You'll have better weapons. More constellations. And, sure, maybe they fix physical or add a new character that would prefer a non-C6 Benny, but it won't really matter. You'll just toss the second best choice in there and still clear the content.

15% pyro dmg increase isn't really much.
Especially since most pyro units (well actually most carries do) like Yelan or Furina or even both anyways which makes it even less valuable.
And at least currently if you like Eula or physical Razor Bennett is still their best support by a long shot.
(And sure you can still play Eula with Bennett C6 .. but even her N's can matter depending on what is trown at her)
And since we don't know how, if at all, they will fix physical Bennett could still be important to making at least the older units viable.
And pyro is still strong enough for nobody to need a 15% pyro dmg buff to do stuff.. i mean which pyro dd or sub dd really needs 15% pyro dmg increase to function?
I mean sure maybe as an Amber main i could see why you need to squeeze every ounce of damage or when you want to main Bennett... but otherwise?
That's why i would always recomment to only C6 Bennett if someone really loves pyro units and nothing else.

in case I lose the 5050 for nahida is there any replacements for her, like is dendro traveler good? I lost my 5050 to Haran sword so I kind of want to find a use for it
1) Yes would consider Beidou better here as Heizho is already your onfielder
2) Dendro Traveler is decent. But Nahida certainly outclasses him.

I just want Chevreuse so I won't even try to pull that much anyways-. C6 Chevreuse would be a dream but I don't think I can have that luck. Since I want Chevreuse for an overload team as a new F2P I might consider getting Raiden, since I only have Lisa. This might change if I get Kujou Sara. Bennet is a given- My best banner so far for sure.
If possible I want your(or anyone really) opinion as someone who is f2p and I'm trying to invest in 10 at most right now is she worth in the long term especially for her consolation? (And i have electro dps)
yes, raiden is worth it long-term & constellations wise & is very F2P-friendly. who is your electro DPS?

Not going to lie this is a pretty good banner, It makes me a little worried though because I do want a few cons for Benny boy, one con for Sara and just want Chevreuse, like this is a good banner, However it keeps me avoid because I really want Cloud Retainer, and I'm trying to save my guarantee.
i think pulling on raiden has no harm, but evaluate if you REALLY need raiden. bennett post-C1 is perfeclty usable, & you don't need sara if you already aren't playing shogun

As far as Raiden goes, I think, even at C3, she's not worth it as a hypercarry. But what she excels at is sharing the time/DPS-duties with other characters, since she can nice chunk herself with her burst ,and she feeds everyone so much energy.
For Overload... it didn't happen with Kaz. It isn't going to happen with Kaz at home. But I expect Chev could get used in certain Lyney teams, provided she's C6, and she will be super easy electro and pyro resist debuffs, which does matter for things like the Tulpa. I think, though, what majorly holds back her potential is that she's pyro. If she was electro instead, she would see use with the pyro archers. That said, Overload isn't as bad as it used to be, due to newer enemies having more weight than older ones. So the knockback is less of an issue than it used to be. And it can do 20k+ AoE damage with the levels of EM people run for hyperbloom, which means those light enemies tend to end up dead, so them being knocked back doesn't matter either.
raiden is an archon and all archons so far has so many uses and can fit in many teams and kinda the best in their element so raiden is a must pull if you like her
I just really want some Cheveruse and some Sara constellations since she’s always paired with Raiden and comes back once a year. I am guaranteed next and I hope I don’t get Raiden or Yoimiya

Chevreuse doesn't enhance overload at all, she opens up a so far "mandatory" anemo(VV) slot while providing pyro resonance and a just enough healing, 3 in 1, WHILE trying to provide just enough buffs to something any close to the so far "mandatory" 4 and 5 star Xinqiu (Yelan).
Anything from Hoyo which provides flexibility is much welcome! In the end.. you can't 37star Abyss (yet)

Meta is short for metagame. The acronym people keep repeating as the “definition” of meta came way after the term had been in use for a very long time. For context I am an old 😅 been gaming over 3 decades now and the term metagame has been around since I was young. Meta is literally just a short way of saying metagame, which itself refers to the most popular strategies for a given game. Since people tend to gravitate towards the most effective strategies, it would make sense that the meta would mostly consist of those most effective strategies, but if something is popular enough, it doesn’t even have to actually be the most effective to be considered meta.
