Good luck Sir. Although my video was under 5 minutes. The whole process of readjusting my parking brake may have taken 1 to 2 hours, just making sure that it is good to go. Thanks for watching.
just want to state that "all parking brake systems are self-adjusting" is wrong on our truck. There is NO self-adjuster on this year Tundra, it is manual at pedal, linkage/balancer junction under the driver seat AND in the rotor/hub. Usually the self-adjuster is in the drum portion of the rotor, but this vehicle does NOT have a self adjuster. As you stated later, it is manual, so not sure why you said "all parking brake systems are self-adjusting" earlier in the video (I wish it were like most vehicles)
@user-nd5xk8vm2z Thank you for pointing it out. Sorry but the statement that you specifically mentioned was referenced to: Chilton Repair manual # 68610 Tundra 2007-2012 Section page 9-21 Brakes on 12 Parking Brake adjustment. Information (1). None the less thank you for your info gladly appreciate your advices.
@@unboxingsynapses9261 Using a Chilton manual is a mistake. They have gone downhill for years. Go grab the pertinent Toyota service section tons of places to locate Toyota service manual sections online as need. Why bother with Chilton with the internet and access to manufacturer manuals. It is a Toyota not a limited production number euro car with limited forums. Plenty of epb dont have a self adjuster. The tundras 07-21 do not.
@@joshcapecod6098 Thanks for the advice, @joshcapecod6098. I agree with you and @PaulMagnani about the specific concern. Chilton is not perfect by any means (I bought my Chilton 12 years ago) but I would have to disagree about using Chilton is a mistake because it helped me throughout these years with simple DIY fix on my 2007 Tundra (never had to bring it to a mechanic). By the way if you mind asking if my e-brake is still good. Yes, it's still holding up. Thank you
Fer sure a manual Is better than no manual! Pretty annoying my 16 tundra is not self adjusting . My other comment not made is I wish had bought oem parts in particular the hardware kit/pieces. Note to self.
To the point, spot on instructional video. Much appreciated!
Thanks for the video. Doing the same thing to my 14 sienna as well.

you are 100% correct. there is no self-adjuster in Gen1- Gen2.5 tundras. Don't know about Gen 3(2022+).
