I've already come up with a new name for my new termination knot that combines the Anchor hitch with the Poacher's loop as a backup! I call it the POACHER'S ANCHOR! Enjoy the video! Let me know if you have any better ideas for the name for combo termination knot! Love you all! Thanks for commenting and supporting my channel! ~Knotorious
The Anchor hitch portion will have all of the load on it, and the Anchor hitch is well established to be an easy to untie knot after being loaded heavily. So the the Poacher's portion will just be a secure backup and won't experience much or any of the load. Should be very easy to untie. Great thinking; great question!
Glad you're back. I trust you're getting settled into your new life. You've added another innovation to the climbing community. This new hitch should be given a number and listed the Ashley Book of Knots. I'm nominating you for the Congressional Medal of Kern Mantles.
Thanks! Haha love my honorary new title! Been trying to popularize the Poacher's Anchor (my original compound knot) for years now. But only in maybe three videos and the two older ones had pretty terrible production, editing, presentation quality. Nevertheless, the proof exists that I might be the first to try and popularize this new knot. As for my move, getting settled in emotionally, but still waiting on a bunch of new furniture. By the end of the month, I'll have a new bed/mattress (been sleeping on an air mattress); a new nightstand for the bed; a new table to eat at/filming new knot videos on; a 65" OLED Samsung Smart TV setup on a TV table; and I'll hopefully have a new two seater couch in that window as well. I'm stoked! Especially to get my new table for filming new knot content! Got an exciting new fixed loop knot that I created that I'll debut for my next video possibly! Haven't come up with any new hitches since I started my move nearly three months ago, so I'll be hard at work continuing to making new, original, innovations! Thanks again for commenting!
Ignore my previous response. I misunderstood what you meant. Yes, it's a very strong knot (my Poacher's Anchor)! Thanks for commenting and for supporting my work!
Bro, I got banned from the forum. Basically because I called Burnham out for being a manchild. Whatever. Some people say my practices weren't safe, and yet they've kept my thread up. Hypocrites. Please stay in touch. You and a few others are my only remaining contacts from that forum. Love you buddy. I'll check out your content right now. If there is anything new, I'll comment. I basically called Burnham and "cold" and an "Ice queen" after sending him a very nice message that had his quotes said in context or verbatim. Carl, the admin, never bothered to tell me why I was banned. Both of them are a**holes.

This is pretty nice my friend
I just wonder how well it will untie. After it has had a significant amount of weight on it

@@Knot-orious agreed. Thanks Brother
Fantastic video.

I am going to practice this quite a few times so that I haven't burned into my memory. Well done. 🇺🇸 😊
Great stuff, Bob! You've been a longer time supporter! Worth learning these knots! Thanks for the comment! =-D
That termination knot will definitely not be coming undone. Great idea.

I use the anchor hitch all the time and I'll definitely try that backup. Cool stuff.

@@Knot-orious Sounds like same old same old. "manchild and Ice queen!" Thanks for the laugh. Haha!
@@TreeguyRyan Haha, he's definitely both. Oh well. Couldn't care less, honestly.
Two knots for one tie down and your life depends on it. I'm going to use it for sure.
Good, I'm glad! Redundancy, even with knots, can add a TON of safety so long as you know how to tie those knots! Thanks for your comment!
