I loved how you talked about you and your husband going to work postpartum especially how it becomes like you’re only servicing the baby. I told my husband what you said and he goes “aren’t we all”. He doesn’t see it just isn’t the same. Thanks again. Hope your husband is as supportive.

Defo emotion was one thing I struggled with in my early postpartum period! I cried a lot but sometimes only for a freaking toilet paper advert!
I don't know if I was suffering from depression. Having someone to speak to really help especially someone who have children!
Thank you Sarah for sharing your experience!

I like how you're so real about this. No one ever told me about the bad parts and I felt like I was in way over my head. I feel your pain...that's exactly how I felt when I was new mommy it's so tough. Add oil and good luck with everything 💪

You’re doing great! I have a 21month old son and I can relate to your post partum as I felt uncomfortable at the hospital even though they were trying to help me. After 3 months you will develop a somewhat good routine until they hit another milestone and the routine changes. Stay positive and you’re doing a great job! It’s hard work being a mom but it all pays off 🙏🏻💕👍💪

I struggled with breastfeeding and at the verge of a mental breakdown. I was too stubborn with the breast milk thing, I believe the best thing to give my new born has to be my own milk. But I didn't have any until 5 days after I gave birth. Then my friend said " breast milk is the best, formula milk is good, but at the end of the day the baby gets fed is the most important thing ". I thank my friend for such a life saving advice

I had a c section surgery 3 months ago and I remember the first two days after the surgery I feel so hot and sweat a lot even the aircon temperature is already quite low.

Hi Sarah, Congrats on becoming a mommy. You are definitely looking great! I find that new moms stress over being the best mom ever and carry very strong opinions about 100% breastfeeding. My daughter was exactly the same and ended up having a anxiety breakdown and crying all the time. However she did listen to some of my advice and after the first two weeks, she was able to pump regularly so that others could help with feeding the baby. Her partner was share the experience of bonding while feeding the little one and we were able to step in and help too. It gave her some "me time" so she could sleep alittle longer, or lie in bed and relax and actually enjoy some of the simpler pleasures such as "taking your time in the bathroom"....lol Another piece of advice I gave to my daughter and to you too.....accept help from your family and close friends. You will feel alot better and stronger in no time.

Hi Sarah, congrats on your new baby! Just curious why you decided on an elective c-section?

In regards to parenting or child-rearing practices, I would suggest to take a look at some of Magda Gerber and Emmi Pikler's works and books about RIE and Pikler philosophy. I am a professional early childhood educator from NZ btw. Again congrats Sarah and Jason
