Elvin Yang oh boy, you are so right, Master Lang Lang is, and. He spends a lot of time with the students, we have a bright future with young pianists like this!
Louishappyface It is a combination of practice and innate ability to perform in front of people. It took me a year to be able to play well in front of people. Some of my amateur piano friends still have nervous problems even after 10 years!
9:08 He said “你看”, which is Chinese for “you see”😂😂 if u know Chinese u might find it very funny. But it shows that he really is focusing on the music at that time
Jimmy, I love the man. His music ability also the way he works with his Foundation, he gives so much of himself, wish other. Stars would do the same! Cheers
Interesting to hear Lang Lang say “jazz” at the end, that’s what I was thinking throughout the kid’s performance. Perhaps he would be a great jazz pianist
It's a valse which belongs to a certain Vienese area which this young man probably does not understand yet. He has beautiful large hands, so he can play anything, but doesn't know how.
The kid played in wrong style, does not fit with Lizst. This is still a classical repertoire, the kid played a bit jazzy! LL just correct him for that.
@@simonpaxon5649 The piece is pretty charmimg, the jazzy style is a nice character but i think if the kid wants to play like that he needs to improve some passages but not in certain way that Lang Lang says, the hungarian style is a pretty nice way to the interpretation of Liszt, but is not the only one But Lang Lang at 14:57 is a good recommendation tho
Trollsey first off, occassionally english people visit foreign places (amazing i know) and in the land of foreign they speak the language of foreign Also since when was 'you have a really dramatic way of playing' not english?
This is still a classical repertoire. The kid played a bit jazzy! It does not fit in with Lizst style. I think in Ravel maybe it‘s ok to play a bit jazzy.
A lot of people don't know but Liszt taught his students that they should sing the piece first and only after memorising the melody playing it. The reason is every instrument made for mimicing the human voice including the piano, in short if you use this method you will learn the certain piece much faster than just playing but not singing it because the music will be much deeper.
Lang Lang doesn't know anything, he just plays fast and has no musicianship That's why he's giving a masterclass and telling the students to play simpler, and slower, and demonstrating how to voice the phrases correctly - because he has no musicianship
Read my comment again, read it carefully, then take back your quite rushed assertions I understand that communicating clearly on the internet is difficult, but i don't think you put a whole lot of thought into what i said before you blasted out with your response. Even if i weren't being sarcastic, it is quite childish to tell people to keep their opinions to themselves on a platform that encourages you to like/dislike and comment. Although i have a feeling i'm gonna have to spell it out to you, since the phrases such as. '[insert really good things Lang Lang demonstrated here] therefore [insert statement about how lang lang knows nothing here]' didn't seem to give it away to you that i'm being sarcastic and taking the piss out of people who think Lang Lang is just a robot whonplays fast
See Lang Lang live, get your tickets on StubHub - fave.co/2WF4pgK
I'd say these kids here are already top players. But when you hear Lang playing you know why a master is master lol
Elvin Yang the kids are inspired by Lang Lang, their talent is already showing. Aren't we lucky that these master classes are shown ! 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🙌🙌🙌
Elvin Yang oh boy, you are so right, Master Lang Lang is, and. He spends a lot of time with the students, we have a bright future with young pianists like this!
@bill Bloggs So what cha doing now ? how much u earn a month ?
You are right, except that, with all due respect but this kid had no idea what he was doing with this piece.
bill Bloggs if you earn as much as him, then you can call him rubbish xD and i suppose you dont
How does the kid immediately get what Lang Lang wants? 0-o It'd take me an eternity
because you dont speak the language i guess :D
He's playing a piece by Liszt of course he's gonna understand what he says
Easy lol Lang Lang talks in simple terms but usually in expressive terms
How can he play so confident in front of that many of people
He's a born performer :) Probably plays better infront of many people rather than on his own
Experience
Michaela Agius it's practice your not born a performer
Louishappyface It is a combination of practice and innate ability to perform in front of people. It took me a year to be able to play well in front of people. Some of my amateur piano friends still have nervous problems even after 10 years!
@@michaelaagius1461 he's very theatrical and sounds like he's enjoying himself while playing

9:46 this like Chinese too but idk what he says
Jian Hau Nicholas Tan he said, "That should be different." It's his accent that makes it sound Chinese to foreigners.
Colby C. Sounds understandable to me but then again maybe I’ve just seen too many of his masterclasses
Lmao I was so confused I was like what’s nicann thanks man
在一起的时候就是这样吧
It’s really interesting, these kids plays at a very hard and difficult piece, Lang Lang knows the difference between, tone, style, and melody.
He plays with passion and heart. Good to see
Been keep coming back to this masterclass. This is my favourite piece of all time
Jimmy, I love the man. His music ability also the way he works with his Foundation, he gives so much of himself, wish other. Stars would do the same! Cheers
"don't play like jazz"
Enver Utku BATUR lol
Enver Utku BATUR lmaoooooooooooooooo!
Oof?
Omg when does he say this? 😂
@@TheOne-pq4ph in the video
Reminds me so much of Benjamin Zander’s way of communicating, amazing!
There is such a big difference in a true self taught gift of piano than having someone teach you so you can’t be real when you want to.
this young pianist is great
8:09😂😂😂🙁
Just look at the lovely hands this young man has, his fingers,, beautiful, he plays so well, if he held his head up to/show his prowess, he did, 👏👏👏👏
I love this kid
Interesting to hear Lang Lang say “jazz” at the end, that’s what I was thinking throughout the kid’s performance. Perhaps he would be a great jazz pianist
I'm liking your uploads a lot....just subscribed & clicked the bell :)
12:04 that one made people turn their heads so they can laugh
The kid was such a good sport and seemed to have fun! I wonder were he is now! If anybody knows i'd love to know!!
Excelente. Por que no ejecuta Lang Lang.el Estudio Resoluciónario de Chopin. Me gustaría escuchar si lo tienen.
thanks...subscribed.
This piece sounds so much like Ravel's "La Valse" it must have been his inspiration for it.
What is the opening piece Yuja plays?
Talented boy~~~
It's a valse which belongs to a certain Vienese area which this young man probably does not understand yet. He has beautiful large hands, so he can play anything, but doesn't know how.
Liszt not a Jazz!!!
7:18 lol
@Justin Yeom lol
I think something went wrong with the audio
what's the piece name in the intro?
The smuggler by Schumann. Performed by Yuja Wang
3:14
It always kills me how he goes from talking to dancing as soon as the music starts
Does lang lang have perfect pitch? He casually hums Valse Impromtu and other classical pieces so casually when teaching haha
Yes
He is from wich country?
South Africa
Liszt balls of steel
What was that piece in the intro ?
Schumann/Tausig "The Smuggler" (english translation)
Too bad this kid couldn’t have gotten a masterclass with cziffra. His input would’ve been much more worth than lang lanfs

Is this a singing lesson?
Loool it’s how he wad taught and how he teaches and I think it’s a good way of learning to be one with the music

:)from hungary i like it
for some reason i don't feel satisfied at all by the initial performance.
Kinda sounds like Debussy
Nah lmao
