I’m 68 years old. It is SO nice, just awesome to hear Alan Cumming talk about his husband. Something unheard of when I was in college. It brings tears to my eyes thinking of all the LBGTQ people who have had to hide who they are, whom they loved all these centuries!
I just LOVE Alan sooo much! He’s just so genuinely talented, charismatic, kind, and intelligent... and very handsome. He’s OUTSTANDING in Cabaret! 😍 AND in all of his movies of course!
Love AC. For a guy who had a pretty shitty childhood and had to come to terms with being gay at a time when it was much more difficult, he seems so happy and contented now - such a sweetheart and amazing talent. Like Alan Rickman, can play an absolute sweetie or a rabid serial killer with equal aplomb.
Seriously! Alan Cumming is the perfect Emcee. Saw him in the 1998 Broadway Revival. What an experience! He's mesmerizing. And offstage so genuinely humble..
So, Alan Cumming, an actor from my childhood, is Scottish? I honestly never knew that. (I've only seen him in Annie, Spy Kids, and Goldeneye). And he's bi as well? Interesting. Long, happy relationship for him.
He's so cute and talented! And I did meet him there at Marie's Crisis in the Village in NYC, and now, it all makes sense, he asked if anyone had requests, and I drunkenly shout it out, Tallulah!!!!! from Tori Amos, and he was so relieved that it wasn't musical theatre number. He wiped the fake sweat from his forehead. And it's hands down, a great rendition of that song, with an incredible male voice!!!! 💘💘💘
Allen was in the most under rated musical I've ever seen, Reefer Madness The Musical. He played the narrator, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, and Moloch the goat man.
His first musical..I had the privilege and honor of dancing with him during the 1998 Broadway Revival of Cabaret. He indeed changed the character forever. Alan brought the perfect combination of debauchery, inticing charm, and creepiness to the role of emcee. He was absolutely mesmerizing. And he's a sweet, humble guy, too.
I wonder if you had an effect on the Seth Meyers youtube crew because the latest videos uploaded all have a much more chill kinda 80s sound to them for the ending. So... thumbs up? ^_^
I love the hand gesture for "Little Darren Criss" like he's 5 years old

Helen Eschenbacher he's 52, but I completely agree
@@anathemaruby2663 The person who commented said they were 68 at the time, not Alan haha.

He's bi, actually!

"Little Darren Criss" and the Chenoweth stories made me grin
0:46 .. the way he dismissed this comment like he didn’t change the role of the emcee for a lifetime ..
Seriously! Alan Cumming is the perfect Emcee. Saw him in the 1998 Broadway Revival. What an experience! He's mesmerizing. And offstage so genuinely humble..

This interview plus all the Cheno stories just made me so excited for the Tonys!
April Jean Piscos Disappointed the Neil isn't doing it again, but Alan and Kristin will be great.

What a great guy!
he has the cutest eyelashes

His normal talking voice makes me think Gutsy Smurf is taking lessons from Vanity Smurf.
he talks so different on the good wife! such a funny and sympathetic person!
What a cutiepie, he truly is
I love that documentary, I had no idea he produced it!
YOU SIT ON IT, BUT YOU CANNOT TAKE IT WITH YOU
+DatDudeTG_23 CHAIR
He sounds like he has some of his cabaret accent
ah he’s scottish i’m pretty sure
He is Scottish...and proud if it.
I just know him from The Good Wife so is so weird to see him with an accent!
He has an accent in the good wife...
Agree! I didnt quite notice he had an accent in the good wife
Everyone has an accent all the time.
So you are that gal
sweetest guy ever
I like your version of "three pennies Opera". Your cabaret is fantastic. More in the spirit of Brecht
If he ever forgets the words to something he's singing, he can just drop that and start talking to the audience with that burr!
best emcee
Cabaret says otherwise
His first musical..I had the privilege and honor of dancing with him during the 1998 Broadway Revival of Cabaret. He indeed changed the character forever. Alan brought the perfect combination of debauchery, inticing charm, and creepiness to the role of emcee. He was absolutely mesmerizing.
