If you haven't read his book Not My Father's Son... Do it. It was one of the best autobiographies I ever read.
I listened to both his audiobooks, which he narrates, and he is such a good storyteller I have to remind myself a) we've never met and b) we're not friends. Dude, I hope I never meet him because I will embarrass myself.

@@Happytravellerkimmy I feel the same way! I did meet him, and I probably did embarrass myself. But he was so sweet, he didn't make me feel that way in the moment. Listening to the books totally makes you feel like you sat down and talked with him.

I haven’t seen it…indeed, I didn’t even know about it, but now that I do, I’m going to have to track it down. I can imagine them both getting on and preying on each other’s last nerve.
@maryrosekent8223 no, he demonstrates amazing patience with Miriam and her lack of filter. 😅 plus, as she's older now, she uses a Mobility Scooter if a location requires a lot of walking. So he adapted certain things to that.
They did one season in the US, and one in Scotland. I've seen mostly the one in Scotland. People have episodes listed on UA-cam. I think it's called "driving Miriam Margolies", or something to that effect.

Watched the show in a binge session. He is so entertaining a d ott. it’s a great show. It’s filmed at the same castle as the U.K. version which is also great viewing. Can’t wait for the next season.
Australia is also fun. And if you can find the Dutch original also good.

I always remember watching X-Men 2 and going..... whats his 2nd name again? Allan... Allan.... Allan... CUMMING! Needless to say I said it too loud at a quiet part of the movie and the entire theatre turned to look in my direction. Luckily for me they looked at the girl with me.

Alan made a wee mistake there. What he meant to say was that if there are only ‘faithful’ players left at the end then they get to split the money, however if there’s even one ‘traitor’ remaining (who has convinced the others that they are faithful) then they keep it ALL. 😈
I thought the UK version was good but the US version was even better! SO much hilarious bitchiness and backstabbing, not to mention a fantastic end, and Alan was a brilliant host. I binged the entire thing in one night - and I don’t normally watch reality tv!
