LOL I felt exactly the same about Noel. All the work he does is so wacky and wild but he’s pretty chill when he’s just being himself 😂. I like seeing him on Bake Off he bounces between weird and bouncy and just really lovely and helpful.
Ok I’m glad you brought this up, because I remember now how I saw him on that show when I’ve never really watched it. There are some other reactors I follow, and one of them reacted to an episode of British Baking Show with the cast from Derry Girls. That’s where I caught a glimpse of Noel. Incidentally, that made me also totally want to try Derry Girls too lol.
@@DavidvsFilm He's also on several of the New Year's "Big Fat Quiz of the Year" shows and is hilarious every time, especially in the ones where he's partnered with Richard Ayoade. The two of them had worked together in the past on the sitcom "The IT Crowd".
2:30 for the 10 episode seasons (which becomes standard from Season 6) they do the studio record over a week. One episode in the morning, one in the afternoon.
I've been watching Joe clips here on YT and he really is a funny person. His stand up is funny but he's also spontaneously funny guy (Traveling Man show as well as his studio appearances). Another great reaction, David!
Mel being so serious about the theme and motivation behind her ringtone dance, then learning it was actually a different ringtone than she thought it was is so ridiculously funny to me.
Yes!!!!! She cracks me up. I have literally been in that kind of spot before though- doubling, tripling, quadrupling down on my points and opinions about something, only to realize I was misremembering something else entirely.
I genuinely felt bad for Hugh in this episode, not because he was particularly good at the tasks, but his face at 13:36 when Greg did that build up, then called it "Horse s**t", he actually looked sad.
That dichotomy between Mel and Nole that you mentioned is is exactly why we are amigos...because that is also very me, sunshine & rainbows glowing in positivity, then one second later irate about the sun in my eyes!😂 Speaking of positivity...by chance...have you had a looksie at Prof Spoonie's hopefully uplifting videos?☺️💚 No pressure, I would just love to know your impression/feedback if and when you had spare minute or two. Many thanks in advance...and if your feeling super supportive you could be my tenth subscriber! Bring me into double digits!!!!!☺️💚
I do feel Noel had a bit of an advantage this series because of the percentage of art-based tasks there were. Enjoy them immensely and he would still have won bc he did well in other types of tasks, but it just felt like way too many when he's pretty well-known for his art.
Yeah, I heard someone say that initially, and I can definitely see it. Of the episodes I’ve seen, he’s only won 1 so far, so I guess it’s not really helping him too much, but as of this episode he is in the lead overall, and it does seem to be like he has momentum.
Mel is cheerful throughout the series - and the rest of the time, too, if her other TV appearances are anything to go by. Greg even makes fun of it in one episode. IMO Season 7 is the best (with the completely insane Rhod Gilbert), though there isn't a single season which isn't a load of fun.
Would love you to watch Late night lycett, It's Joe's show. I think you will be astounded by what is allowed to play on late night English tv compared to the USA. It's just bat crap crazy insanity.
Oh no, that’s pretty much it. I just meant that the way it initials sounded to me, I thought he had replaced her on the show, so I didn’t know if maybe there were any weird vibes because of that. Clearly not though :)
There's actually a lot of shots of planes flying in the background throughout the whole show. That's because the taskmaster house is close underneath the flight path by Gatwick airport. Weird and kinda undesirable location for a house, but that just adds to the charm
This is one of the rare times I feel like Greg went a little too far with the character of making fun of Hugh. Like, Hugh looks genuinely hurt after his little dance number shows, or at the very least unamused.
Yes! I thought that too, but I don't know Hugh well enough to know how to read him, or if this is their kind of relationship (he and Greg and Alex, I mean) :(
Just a heads up that I seeminly got unsubscribed from you recently since your last GoT episode and I'm not sure why, I know of other channels that have had purges of followers before so might be worth mentioning in your next video pal.
Thank you for resubbing and for keeping me know!!! They’ve pulled that crap before (I have no idea why), but I hadn’t heard anything lately. Thanks again!!
Never stop with Taskmaster. Seasons 12, 13, and 14 are absolutely legendary and it's crazy that they happened consecutively.
Shame it was followed by the (relative) duds that were series 15, 16 and 17
I won’t :)
13 is prime TM 👌👌👌
@@RBernsCarterseries 16 is one of the best
@@connorbosley4431 not for me, I don’t really get Sam Campbell and he kinds dominates it. But you like what you like 😊
FYI, for the studio, it is 2 episodes per day with a change of clothes, now that it's 10 eps regularly that's one week of filming.

Thank you so much for the info!
"Who's your best friend, Noel?" - "Mel!"
"Who's your best friend, Mel?" - "Not Noel"
is unbelievably under appreciated imo
Did you know Alex only wore ties (always red) for Mel’s filmed tasks?
And Mel didn’t even notice 😂
I know about it now, but not at first, no. I think that’s so great :)
@@DavidvsFilmand when asked why he did that, he just replied “it’s Mel gdryoic”
"It's like a water filter ad" lmao never heard anything more accurate 😂

Hey David - S'up!
I'm loving the new Sunday evening (for me) Taskmaster reactions 👍🏾💜✔ -x-
This season is really gaining steam, getting better with every episode. Keep up the good work my friend!

I feel like I’ve been waiting for this forever.
Love your expressions when they surprise you. 💕
Aww thank you so much!! Oh yeah, they really get me sometimes.
Glad you watch taskmaster ❤ It's nice to find other people that appreciate this type of comedy.
I just love this group so much 😂😂😂😂
Thanks for all the hard work on these videos!
Thank you!!!
The giant ball task is great - can’t wait for you to get to it 😂
I genuinely felt bad for Hugh in this episode, not because he was particularly good at the tasks, but his face at 13:36 when Greg did that build up, then called it "Horse s**t", he actually looked sad.
Yes!!! Poor Hugh. Ol Deskie.
Mel and Sue daytime show was good fun
Light Lunch started just before I left college. It was a lot of fun. Been a fan of Mel and Sue ever since
2:25 most of these types of shows film 2, sometimes 3, episodes in a day
Idk, 6:13 is one of my favorite Joe Lycett moments ever.

Have you not seen the Great British Bake Off David? It's so wholesome. You should check Baked Alaska-Gate 😬

Accio is the summoning spell. Mainly gets used by Harry in film 4 but it’s never a big time player spell so understandably not as memorable 😂🤓
Thanks!! Yeah I don’t remember that one as specifically as some others. But hey, hats off to Lolly for knowing it!

Thank you so much :)
Series 7 has the ultimate water feature. Just close your eyes, no blinking. She is no Simone Biles.
I think I developed a slight crush on Hugh this season🤭
Hugo 🤣👌
😁😁
As I understand it, they film one studio show in an afternoon, another in the evening, then come back the next day.
Ahh ok cool, thank you!!

Bummer that you edited out Noel and Mel's interaction after she said he couldn't win. Lol
I know, I had it too!! But when I ran my initial edit through the check, that part got flagged because I kept too much in from that segment :(

It’s under Heathrow’s flight path
It's been there since at least the 30's, so I suspect it predates Heathrow Airport. 🛫
Thanks! I guess I had never noticed before.
It's strange watching people who clearly don't have basic knowledge of English geography, being confidently wrong.
