The opera singer who sang at Prince Charles wedding to Lady Diana Spencer, was asked who she considered to be the best singer ever, without hesitation she said "Elvis Presley without a doubt". I was so happy when she said that expecting her to say Pavarotti or some other opera singer. Praise indeed.

I have spoken to several girls who dated Elvis. They each told me that his biggest worry was being forgotten. He actually thought when he was gone, people would forget him. He was the musical genius who gave this song to Elvis and Elvis gave it to the World. Fifty three years later it still hits you with a hammer. I am 77 and it still brings me to tears. If you want to hear another powerhouse song from Elvis listen to Tomorrow Never comes from 1970. It will knock you out!
interesting that you mention "Tomorrow Never Comes" -- i think it is one of the most amazing songs that shows how much Elvis' voice was capable of, but this is a song that is rarely ever suggested & it's too bad because so many people are missing out

I grew up with this... and this song .. has been my all time favorite since I was 12 or 13 when I realized the significance of this song.. not just his voice but the lyrics.
