So when the Burger King himself @StreetSpeed717 asked us to install just a pully and some headers on his Electric Blue (its definitely Rapid Blue GM C'mon,) 2022 CT5-V Blackwing, we knew we couldn't just stop there!

Why are half the commenters short bus riders 😂 it’s not 10k to get 50 hp . You could do this with porting the blower . It’s about having the car ready for the future . You pay 10k for a 1200 hp capable blower and then a smaller pulley and tune is 1000 bucks and your making 800 plus safely .
Because not many people are going to drive a 1200 horsepower car on the street never mind if they are actually capable of keeping it on the road safely. I understand a bit of your point but not everyone in the future is going to add heads, cam, meth, etc.

Ill never forget the video where he was at keiths pit stop getting his yellow vette tuned by handy andy at dfr n he made the comment that im not gonna bash another tuning shop but its odd that nicks camaro was running fine and then he goes to another shop for tuning and it blows up mysteriously n theyre blaming andy for installing the wrong nitrous jet. N then roller his eye... n now he wants to come there n use his youtube clout to get discount on parts and labor...
Mike has paid me full price for installs in the past. In fact he never requests any discount. I really wanted to do the Maggie install so this one was hooked up a little to meet his budget.
What do you think the true crank HP numbers are for the 6M Blackwings? Closer to 720 crank?

Do some global B trucks!!!!!!! I’m putting my magnuson 2650 on my stock 5.3 when the lt4 high side fuel system and methanol injection kit gets here, running an 84mm pulley. Hopefully not making a mistake here lmao but maybe try and make 600ish whp without a cam. Would love to see stuff like this, maybe it’s not being done because it’s a dumbass idea? lol idk

I wish u had Kong X port the factory blower for $1,500 instead of waisting $8,500 for a 2650 thats not needed unless u r over 1000whp. My CT5-V has a Kong X port, throttle body, 2 in headers, high flow cats, heat exchanger, ice tank, upper and lower pulleys and makes 786whp on 93. Beautiful badass car!
It’s crazy to see Max all grown up and developed into a great tech from where he started with the guy who used to work on SS717’s cars, I forget his name right now.

So if you change your air intake to get more air in it will adjust your AFR right away? Why is this not on the ZL1 or is it? Plus $7,795.00 for 45 extra horsepower. Yikes

It’s rich people horsepower. Any one of us “poors” could make 1000rwhp, car included, for less than half the cost of the blower. Street speed thrives on attentive, good or bad.
It comes with a 2650. Why would you do that
Honestly, I'm truly surprised these cars lose so little horsepower through the drive train.
I wonder if they're just underrated. GM has been known to claim certain numbers, then that vehicle dyno's factory crank HP. Interested to see what an auto puts down. Either way, sick numbers even in stock trim.

Following we don’t have shops like this in Florida. Given I have a ct5 Blackwing I have been waiting for someone to test their car. 💪 I like the idea of slapping it on and go. But like they mentioned it would be nice to see a little more hp. 😢
The lack of hp increase is purely choice to not increase boost and do other mods aka cam, heads and stuff but you probably see him do this supercharger, heads with a cam upgrade on his personal car

Why does a stock Zl1 lose way more HP to the wheels than the ct5? Or is the factory crank HP of the ct5 understated
650hp Camaro zl1 comes with 305/30/20s for rear tires and 668hp cadillac ct5 black wing has 305/30/19s
The rear diff rear ratios are the same so its probably just wheel tire mass coupled with tire choice
I chose a Maggie HB TVS2300 for my C6 Z06 over the Edelbrock kit because Maggie touted their "F1 tech derived" cooling bricks. Also because "Magnuson" sounds cooler than "Edelbrock". The heat exchanger for the Maggie kit is pretty substantial, too. Fran @ RPM said in one of their videos how cool the Maggie 2650 IATs are. I guess their intercooler tech is good. We'll see this Friday night when I'm heat soaking the crap out of my IC waiting in line at Maple Grove test 'n tune if the IATs stay low.
The first time the lil dude scared you was priceless. The second time you planned it and it didn't look authentic plus you both had muffs on so you probably couldn't even hear him.... any who these grabber blue ct5v black wings with this exact interior is an absolute stunning car. The paint interior combo is absolutely perfect

I haven't been the biggest fan of the last few whips you bought. I appreciated the content but just not the greatest fan of the platforms. This, omg, what a great car to mod and do. Nobody else is doing this, fantastic choice. Keep pumping out these videos and just go more and more extreme on the car as the videos go by.
Side note, I've seen a few of this shops video and the dude seems super genuine. I think the coolest part of the video was his son staring at the computer while the pops was giving the details to the viewers. You could see him computing info at a very young age regardless of what his pop was dishing out. Simply badass.
Will you interchiller work on this?
Yes it will - we use the Forced Inductions Interchiller and we have adapted it to many different cars. It would definitely be effective!

I know everything is STOCK!! But I thought the numbers would be much substantial.
I know we can add more boost, however I don't know that the tune will support it, or the fuel. More on next week's comments.

Have to think though this is factory tune, pulley, PSI and intake. Throw on a smaller pulley, intake, headers and tune and it will make more than 100hp easily.

@@carguy0389it’s more about the potential down the road. If it runs ok on the factory tune, then it’s flowing about the same amount of air as stock and has not been turned up. They will probably turn it up in the future. Current setup with flex or meth will do 800 at the tire with a pulley

CT5BW owner here... Mag 2650 for ~$7300 + labor for ~50HP gain pre-tune? Truly interested to know what is the value here?
Happy to answer this question on the next video of this car! It's more than 55+ rwhp, it's the cooling and the fact you didn't immediately void your power train warranty buy getting the ECU modified.
@@completestreetperformance If you're tracking and heaksoak is a major factor, maybe this makes sense. As for powertrain warranty, the moment you replaced the blower the engine coverage is almost certain gone, even with the Mag/Moss act. Happened to my CTS when I swapped to a Kong 2650 blower. Just seems like the $ / HP ratio is a bit rich. Either way, love the content, and love the CT5BW coverage!
@@MrSully350buddy you can put the factory blower back on for a warranty issue . They know if you put a factory tune back on the car .
The value is having a car that can be turned up, the 50hp increase isn't from boost its from having a more efficient supercharger system, better air flow and cooler air charges
Yes you can achieve the same power gains with the stock blower but you'd have increased air Temps
Coyote swap it for more potential
Not much gains for adding all that money
