@@lindaparker1980 it doesn't look like Slanina or Salo or even slices or lardo. It looks like raw bacon because of the meat-fat ratio. It doesn't matter really because if I ever replicate the recipe, I'll use cooked bacon.

A panini press works just as well to cook both sides of the tortilla without having to flip it over than in a frying pan.... Easier with a panini press as you don't have to stand there and watch it cook... As for the pizza tortilla i've done them in an air-fryer oven... Just an alternative for folks out there when trying your fabulous recipes.....
І You are mistaken, pickled cucumbers are made with the addition of vinegar, pickled cucumbers are those prepared without vinegar. It seems you are not aware of such details.
@@zoiarabinovich7369 Maybe there is some inconsistency in the naming. Pickled to me means preserved in vinegar, water and spices. Preserved in water and salt by lactofermentation is fermented. Depending on where you live, "pickled" is used for the method you use most. But either way, it does not apply to cucumbers only.
I will accept that these recipes are good. However, they do not qualify as authentic Mexican in my book. At 68 years old and living my life in Texas, USA, Mexican food has been a staple for all ethnic groups in Mexican border states. I grew up with many of my friends being Mexican-American. This is not how they cook traditional Mexican food.
Thank you for sharing your perspective and your experience with Mexican cuisine. Don't bring up the title of the video so directly, we are offering alternatives and an idea of what you can make instead of burritos and tacos. Authenticity in food can vary greatly depending on region, tradition, and personal interpretation. While these recipes may not align with your specific expectations of traditional Mexican cuisine, I appreciate your feedback and respect your viewpoint based on your background and cultural experiences.
But your title literally says " Old Mexican trick". Perhaps you shouldn't be so direct if you don't want to be taken directly. "Alternative" or "based on" would have been more correct. You may use ingredients that are in Mexican cuisine but it is not "Mexican". Just because you use chorizo in a recipe doesn't make it Mexican. Don't claim what you don't have. I like your channel but be prepared for the criticism when you mislead people. I cook authentic mexican food but also cheat sometimes and my Mom, who is Mexican, knows when I cheat. And she lets me know the way only a Mom can. You put out a lot of good recipes on your channel and I think you don't need to trick people to come and view your recipes. Keep it real.@@WebspoonWorld

He said "Unagi Sauce", Japanese similar to teriyaki sauce but still different. My Mexican MIL would say "Que??... Oh, que bueno!"
You cannot use uncooked bacon inside a tortilla or wrap. Cook it first.
I was wondering if someone else noticed that. There is probably a chance you could get worms from that. And I adore bacon, but raw like that? Ewwww!
Maybe it's the precooked bacon, and it just looks raw.
@@JoyceSwaffard pre-cooked bacon doesn't roll up like that.
Bacon is somehow processed, at the very least it’s dried and smoked until it’s a bit cooked. I have Soviet friends who eat it raw like that. It was weird to me too the first time I saw it.
@@lindaparker1980 it doesn't look like Slanina or Salo or even slices or lardo. It looks like raw bacon because of the meat-fat ratio. It doesn't matter really because if I ever replicate the recipe, I'll use cooked bacon.
They all look interesting. One question - on the bacon one, how thin is the bacon? It seems that it would need to be really think to ensure that it actually cooks up. I know most of the bacon I use would not cook in that time frame.
Happy cooking! 🥓
Where’s the Mexican food? Basil on everything. No frijoles? This is click on how to use a “tortilla sheet.” 😂 😂😂😂
Thanks for sharing your tips with everyone! 🌮🍕👍
4:57 In America, pickled cucumbers are simply called pickles.
then what do you call the other pickled vegetables?
Yes,fine but the world is not only America, show some respect to other nations please.
І You are mistaken, pickled cucumbers are made with the addition of vinegar, pickled cucumbers are those prepared without vinegar. It seems you are not aware of such details.
He called them marinated cucumbers. I'm guessing that's different than picked cucumbers, but I'm not sure how.
Looks great.... Your camera work looks great too have a great new week❤
Thank you so much
I will accept that these recipes are good.
Yeah, there's no "old Mexican trick" involved, it's clickbait.
As fellow Texan I agree with you!
OH, YOURE THAT ONE
Your photography is glorious!
Looks more like an Italian dish. Pizza style . Definitely NOT a Mexican burrito. Thought it does look yummy 😋
Thank you.
Pre cook bacon, was raw still. Yucky
