Scandis have an advantage, they apparently grow up with English as well as their mother tongue. I was amazed to find multiple people I worked with in London who I assumed were native English speakers were actually German or Dutch. My Belgian girlfriend spoke English with an English accent but also spoke German, French, Dutch and Flemish fluently. Italian and French kids still don't seem to learn much English. Me, just English.
Hats off to you, man! Speaking another language is not that easy and neither trying to learn more languages, so watching you talking to us with those languages is so stunning! Keep it up! I'll try to speak another language as well (between french or deutch, it's so hard to decide!), but at the same time I'll have to practice my English (being Spanish my first language) so that I can't forget all my process. Hope you remain practicing more. :) Psdt: your Spanish accent is more relatable to Spain accent than any Latinoamerica accent, haha.
Thanks man! And your English (atleast written) looks amazing! Both languages you are choosing between are really interesting, it's a tough choice.. Would love to have a more "spain-accent"!
Fed video.
Very nice video. I’m 20 years old and I’m in the same boat with wanting to learn a lot of languages because I love the deeper level of connection you can achieve with locals / native speakers. I’ve subscribed to your channel and I’m excited to follow your language learning journey and hopefully start my own!
I think danish polyglot is very much needed in you tube. Maybe you can approach the subject of how danish and English are similar and different. Also how differently English speakers should approach danish language learning. Thank you for the channel and I look forward to seeing more from you
Good luck with your project man, you are doing it pretty well! I'm 21 and I'm trying to learn Turkish, German and Chinese at the same time (I'm Spanish) and although Turkish was the first language that I started learning on my own I find it the hardest one hahah, maybe it could be a challenge for you too.
fed video!
Really impressive and motivating. I have been learning Spanish on DuoLingo for almost 3 years (only 5 minutes per day). I want to learn to speak Thai. If I could speak Portugese and Russian, that would be insane! I'm really impressed by the fact that you are also a medical student, and at the same time doing YT and learning so many languages. I watch your other channel. You should make a video on how you learned to speak Spanish and Portugese so fast, how much time you spend on it, and your tips and tricks. Also a video on how risky is Brazil/ Rio would be much appreciated. Keep it up.
I can speak 6 ish languages, 2 native, German C1, Russian and French somewhere around B2. It’s a legit struggle to maintain them with a job and going to the gym and having a social life. Every time I try to break through a language to another level I forget tons of stuff in another one, maybe my CPU isn’t strong enough lol. But I think you have to dedicate every waking hour of your life to language learning if you want to maintain 8 foreign languages at C1 tbh, B2 maybe but C1 is a different story
That's cool man! I definitely feel your struggle.. It helps if you love language-learning, and it is your favorite thing to do, like it is for me! But yeah, definitely very difficult to keep multiple languages at a high level
For only 25 hours of input your Japanese is truly impressive. Most people have trouble with the spacing of mora, and mistakingly say (ko no chi wa) only 4 mora. But you correctly said (ko n ni chi wa) 5 mora. and your enunciation was really great too, really easy to understand!! Good luck with your Japanese, and 10 languages to C1 that's dedication! ganbatte kudasai!
what was that language learning platform you mentioned somewhere that you use? do you have a link? many thanks, cant find the video anymore where you mentioned it
Very inspiring man! I’m at the airport on the way to Rio de Janeiro right now! I hope my portuguese has become good enough. What is your favorite way of learning? You’re able to speak very well
thanks man! Enjoy Rio !! I would say focus on increasing your input, don't worry about speaking/grammar. But more content coming on language learning soon!
Becoming fluent in swedish and norwegian would probably not be too hard if youre danish and also french will be easier if you understand spanish and portuguese well. Good luck!
What's the process you take when starting learning a new language? I learnt German up to circa B1-2 level by just learning a load of vocab...and then going the more traditional textbook route that allowed me to start bringing stuff all together and speaking sentences etc etc About to start Spanish so I'm curious..!
You are missing a Slavic language, be it the obvious one, Russian, or any of the others, from (my L2) Czech, to Polish, Ukrainian etc. After that, Arabic and either Hungarian or Finnish.
I’m Japanese and I don’t know why but the “a very small blue fish ” part made me smile 😂
I’m looking forward to seeing your japanese update!

What languages are you studying / planning to study?

Okay, so basically you’re a genius. Geez!!!

My favorite accent in Spanish for the women is of course the Paisa accent (region in Colombia) and for the men Puerto Rico
I loved the Paisa accent when I visited Medellín!
Hey, bro ! I just bumped into your channel now. I will be following your process and growth because i want to emulate it.
Hey man, nice! Welcome to the journey!
Next French, Italian and Russian
Becoming fluent in swedish and norwegian would probably not be too hard if youre danish and also french will be easier if you understand spanish and portuguese well. Good luck!

About to start Spanish so I'm curious..!
Any tips for finding comprehensible input in spanish and portuguese? I know of youtube and disney plus, anything else you use?
Both have great music too;)
But more content on that coming soon!
I'm learning Japanese at the moment, struggling a little bit cuz is really different from Portuguese, but I'm pretty enjoying it !
I'm in the same boat my man, let's go!
It's super hard, but really rewarding
Surprised you did not take on the sister languages like Norwegian and Swedish to add quickly.
So what happened? Did you do it ?
Me sorprende que un danés hable español… 😮
Pues si te sorprende, no quieras visitar Dinamarca entonces
Well I'm struggling with English and Spanish at the moment 🤔
Keep it up!
2 very different and difficult languages, but also most rewarding
Italian
French
You are missing a Slavic language, be it the obvious one, Russian, or any of the others, from (my L2) Czech, to Polish, Ukrainian etc. After that, Arabic and either Hungarian or Finnish.
Good ideas!
Russian and Arabic seems super interesting - and as a Danish person I have a deep resistance to learning Finnish;)
