It would be nice if it actually worked. I've tried five times now to get this thing to generate an image and it keeps telling me that it's timed out. Doesn't make any difference if it's free and unlimited if it's unreliable.

Dreamlike can upload your own photo as starter. That is a very good feature.

It's always great to have alternatives both paid and free. After testing MJ, SD, DAll-e and others I've concluded that for my needs MJ is the best value. Being able to choose from 5 versions (to date) allows a creator great flexibility.
Thanks for introducing these awesome tools! Personally, I think there can't be too many options for generating AI art and content. I really enjoy MidJourney but it's always good to have high quality options like these.

Dreamlike art looked good, the first one was too rhough imo. - If dreamlike art would 4x it's resolution (both interior and for output) it would closely compete with the current midjourney - very good for free options - and an excellent way to figure out if you are into doing ai art
Good job, thanks. The biggest problem in terms of making these useful enough to create a story by putting the character in different scenes. I did watch another video the other day where the host trains the AI to recognize an image he's created and then reuses it. Even in the sample story he created, it wasn't perfect. And he probably used timed when it worked out really well.
@Ai Gorillaz I didn't save the channel, but I saved the PDF he offered which shows how to train the AI to recognize a character you created. I'll email it to you if you like.

That's exactly my issue. I would like to have the same characters in different scenarios. So, I would love to watch some tutorial that explains how to do it.
@@advsonhere Right. I'm not having much luck. It's hard to get the AI to respond to even simple and seemingly easy instructions on edits. And getting it to re-use a chaaracter seems impossible. I have not tried this guy's method yet.
If you noticed there is a seed number. That seed number is what you need to use in prompts to reuse your character or any your promt's result.
My problem with Dreamlike is that I use up the credits very quickly. However, a good thing about Dreamlike and Playground is that you can upload an image to use as a pattern. If you don't want to pay anything but still produce practically endless numbers of images, InstantArt and Blue Willow are hard to beat.
Fully agree! Honestly if money was no object MidJourney is the way to go.
I like the free ones also to finetune prompts and use later in MidJourney :)
But can you use the images you generate commerically
problem with images is that u can't even de zoom on the character or do any other angles wich is pretty sad for "ai" generated things, and i tested a lot of different prompts, u can't make anything else then a portrait if you uploaded a portrait
@@Tigerhearty AI is also horrible when it comes to historical accuracy. I tested several ones with regard to military and police uniforms of the 1920 to 1940s and the results were all over the place. Professional artists will still be needed for years to come.

How do you maintain the same character doing different things ? Is there a prompt to use on an existing image?
Not sure for other generators, but for midjourney one method to do this is by using seeds, which are strings of #'s that act as starting points for the generator to begin working at. This gives you results that are visually similar yet different to the degree you change the prompt around or incorporate some other parameters into the prompt. Idk the details of all of it yet, shit gets complex, lots of shit to learn my god.. and this GitHub thing?! Holy hell is that a big ol ???? To me. Freaking nerds on all the Adderall ever going hard as fuck over there, feels like at least lol. But ya, I'm sure this is only one method among many out there, but that's all I know as of right now. Not sure I've seen anyone pull it off to a major degree yet, that is having the same detailed character from photo to photo in different situations or areas and stuff. Things. Shit. But just give it a few more weeks and it'll probably be a completely different story lolol - Shit is evolving fast, scary fast. Like holy fucking hell what the fuck even is anything anymore fast. when I click generate on instant art all I get are errors connecting to it. Problem is they only seem to make more up to date pics I can't seem to get it to make them more for pathfinder

But i have noticed that these two tools you are describing here, have no privacy? I mean people can download your generated images. Right? In Midjourney there is a trick you can do to hide your generated images from the public view. Also DallE has privacy too and you can choose which images you want to share with the people. DallE gives you 15 free generations each month, after you finish with your first images.

I was under the impression that in "Life" in a general sense of creating, the 1st. Person to create, or design or use a very unique name is the Copyright owner of that item. If I take my inner original thoughts from my mind, and not fashion it after anyone artists style, and express those thoughts in detailed text while working in a Commercial room like Midjourney offers, do I not have the right to use that picture as I want and put a © on it? I'm obviously new, just trying to find my way. Thank you.

I believe art that you create yourself is only permitted to use by yourself and the ai model/site that you used. But it is a tricky subject that is hard to track..

Unfortunately text is not going to work with midjourney yet.. You can see my logo video that it is not really possible. Maybe in future updates but as of right now not going to happen :(

As of right now, ya, you'free e good to go! Stable Diffusion and midjourney allow it at least, idk bout all the others but I'm mm guessing they're the same. There's a lot of lawsuits flying around tho so it could change at any point. But from my understanding, most of not all of these companies are allowing it

There's nothing you can do with Dreamlike that you can't achieve with free models. Maybe slower, but still. When you run out of credits or when you want to be more creative, Stable Diffusion is always there.
Very true! It is just much easier to use for people who don't want or can set stable diffusion up locally.
