I love that you also included the measurements for grams, i measure everything out now, less of a clean up and everything! Also I purchased that cast iron melting pot thru your link, It’s gonna be so useful now once I get it! (I usually just pop my butter out into a glass measuring cup covered with plastic wrap n do that, which works still)
I'm glad that was helpful! It really is easier measuring in grams when baking, I usually only do it when dealing with sourdough, but I have to admit, it really does make it easier and less to wash! That's awesome you're getting that melting pot (thank you!), I really have found it convenient and I really like it! I did used to cover mine with plastic wrap in the microwave but it would melt holes in the plastic! And usually I'd just think I would not leave it in too long and not have it make a mess...just like I left a sweater in the dryer too long this morning, LOL. Thanks for all of your support! I appreciate you being here!
@ it is! I also found out that some of my measuring cups (dry/liquid) don’t always say give the exact measurements. The melting pot is coming in the mail 😁 ah we don’t need to be doing that! I love watching you because you are a good teacher, reminds me of one I had in middle school and high school, so I’ve been binge watching all your videos 😁🫶🏼🤍
Well I’m feeling better and think I need to do this first, just for the delicious comfort factor. So grateful for such a good patient teacher! Thanks Robyn! 💐🥰🇺🇸
Hi Cynthia! I'm so glad you're feeling better! Yes, when you're up for baking, this one is an easy, low effort bread machine recipe you can throw into your machine and have it turn out well! I hope you enjoy it. Thank you for your sweet words!
You’re such a good teacher. We’re in the mountains and it’s cold. Had to go buy fleece lined jeans at outfitters. Snow still on the ground from over a week ago. Glad I had my husband drive the big truck because the driveway is packed in snow. 4 degrees Monday morning. I told my husband we need to leave Sunday at 27 😂 🥰
Aww, thank you, that means a lot Liza. I appreciate that. That sounds soooo cold!! But I know it is absolutely beautiful!! Yes, make him take you home before the 4 degree weather because that is just tooooo cold! Have a fun weekend mountain trip!
UPDATE: I have a loaf going right now, felt so good as each ingredient goes in. I’m much more relaxed than I used to be, instructions on the dough was a game changer! I am letting this loaf go thru the bread machine today, as I want to clean the bottom of my ovens. I swear I get endorphins from bread making! I feel so good Robyn, thank you so much. I ordered the scale and the sourdough jars, but I’m to go back and get the little cast iron pot. Why? I had a mess in my microwave I was sure wouldn’t happen! And I just cleaned my microwave! Grrrrr! Hope you’re having a great day! 🍞🩷🌷🥰🇺🇸
I'm so glad you got back to baking yesterday Cynthia! I totally get you on those baking endorphins. I get them, too, and instantly feel better when I'm baking and being productive in the kitchen. I don't get those from doing laundry or cleaning bathrooms, lol! You are going to love the little cast iron pot--I have liked it so much more than i imagined and use it several times a day! I am done with microwave messes--have had way too many of those to count! I hope you're doing great Cynthia!
Hi Robyn! I finally unboxed my Zojirushi bread machine this past Friday night. 😊 now I’ve got to unbox my nutrimill impact next. I’ll keep you posted!😂
You’re welcome! I’m so glad you found this video helpful, I hope this is the recipe that gets you going! I love my bread machine!! You can really make a lot of delicious bread with it.
Hi Robyn, well I was finally successful with my bread, AND I made this recipe today and it came out great to. As a new bread maker I was so proud and my family loved it. So thank you very much for your tips and making these recipes so easy to follow. I do want to ask you if you can make rolls with this recipe on this video? Thank You Again.
You’re welcome! I’m so thrilled to hear this worked for you and your family liked it! I'm still proud of myself every time I make a loaf of bread, too :) Yes, you can certainly make rolls using this recipe. Simply use the dough cycle, divide the dough into 12 equal portions and shape into rolls. Let rise and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. This video shows you exactly how and may help: ua-cam.com/video/w8joBKj3fFE/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared Let me know how they turn out! Thank you so much for trying this recipe and letting me know it turned out well for you! I appreciate that! I recommend these rolls, too! ua-cam.com/video/MAbztSi_xH8/v-deo.html
That's awesome!! I know you're going to love that sourdough bread. I have a batch bulk fermenting on my counter right now. My family eats it as soon as it comes out of the oven! Let me know what you think of it!
Currently making this in the bread machine (dough cycle, 1.5 loaf) I definitely am gonna have to look into getting at cast iron pot to melt my butter tho.
I'm so happy you're trying this right now! I sure hope you like it as much as I do :) Thank you so much for watching and trying this recipe! I'm glad you're here!
YAY! I'm so glad you made it and are enjoying it!!!! Thanks so much for letting me know! I honestly eat most of the bread I make just plain as a snack :) Yes, awesome for pb&js too!
I got the same machine for Christmas and have had 3 FAILS with the recipe in the booklet. I will try yours next since I have enough bread flour to try one more time! LOL. ( I was not able to find your written recipe) Thank you!
Hi Krista, yes! Give this recipe a try! It's a great one! I feel ya on all the fails. That's why I shared this one. I failed so much when I started with my bread machine all those years ago! If you go down to the description there is a google doc link to the recipe so you can print it off. I'll add the written recipe in the description as well so it's easier to find. Thanks so much for watching and I sure hope your 4th loaf is a charm!
You press the "...more" that is located under the title of the video and above where it says Robyn on the Farm. I hope that helps!! Let me know if you can't find it.
This isn’t related to this video, but a different video, are you going to make your Amish bread recipe into pdf form? I like to have a paper version of recipes tbh!
ua-cam.com/video/8bBA7h4mIGU/v-deo.html Is this the one you're talking about? I just added the printable to the description! That's something new I've been doing so I'm slowly going back and making them for each recipe. Thanks for getting me to get this one done!
@ Yes, it’s this one that i was asking about! I was gonna print recipes from you, but some didn’t have the pdfs, and I make Amish bread all the time so I definitely wanted the paper version instead of digital. Thank you so much! I’ll be printing out the recipe asap! 🫶🏼🤍
Wonderful! I'm so glad you like being able to print the recipes. I'll keep working on getting more added. Thank you for the feedback and for being here on my channel!
Robyn, I have a question for you, I bought a KBS bread machine, and it comes with some recipes, but all of them call for powder milk. Can I use just milk instead, I'm sure I can, I just don't know how much liquid to replace the powder. I would appreciate your help on this.❤
Yes, you certainly can! Generally, a 1/4 c of powdered milk is mixed with 1/4 c of water to get 1/2 c of milk, so in recipes, if it calls for 1/4 cup powdered milk, you'll need to replace it with 1/2 cup of liquid milk. Then, reduce the water content in the recipe by 1/2 cup to keep the dough consistency right. Hopefully that makes sense! Thanks so much for your question! I do like using powdered milk in some of my bread recipes, so it's worth a try to see if you like it! It's great to have in the pantry for emergencies, too, and has a nice long shelf life.
I shall follow this recipe when I run out of bread (which will be soon since I have one loaf left) I’ll update this when I make it! I tend to just use the dough setting on my bread machine and just bake in the oven in all honestly. 🤍
I'm so glad you're going to give this recipe a try! It turns out even better using the dough cycle in my opinion, but sometimes it's nice to let the bread machine do the work :) Thanks so much for watching and being here! I hope your bread turns out great!
@ Of course, I love to try out new bread recipes!! My most favorite bread recipe is however Amish Bread, I haven’t bought store bought bread since then well theirs the occasional times I do but most of the time it’s homemade bread 😊 i like to bake it in the oven since it’s more easier for me to eat but it is nice to have the bread machine do all the work, it does save my arms/hands from giving out. I can’t knead by hand tho since they tend to cramp/ache a lot.
