It's filmed like that because I just arrived and got my camera out in the nix of time for it.

this was a time when amtrak was testing them as cab cars. I believe there were too many problems with them so not sure what the future holds
First train had a heritage car btw
cool that was the test train, I think they may of converted it to hold testing equipment, since its been apart of all the hh8p's test runs so far

The car in the thumbnail has a pretty old paint scheme I remember when I was young.
It's the phase 3 paint scheme probably debut sometime in the late 70's early 80's
