They have also added a gnome faction symbol over the Mirror Moors (their main stronghold in the lore), because the gnome race is canon again. Even got a miniature in the form of the familiar in the wizard kit.
There's always been a Hobgoblin Khanate in the far North-East, so this is pretty cool. Hope we see Kul and Tong tribes with more chaos units in them. It shouldn't be too hard to have rogue factions with more actual daemons and stuff.
Well, hopefully the war in the Ukraine will soon come to an end and in several years of time we might as well see some movements about Kislev. Either that, or GW might retcon some stuff and make Kislev more "Polish/Lithuanian", reducing things like typical Russian surnames so this won't be such a hard topic for GW anymore.
@@JamesEarlCash Kislev always had Polish influences in it ... winged hussars are the most obvious example and it was Polish troops that used a real life bear (named Wojtek) during World War 2 to carry ammunition for heavy artillery in battle of Monte Cassino ... and I doubt anyone from not eastern Europe would be able to differentiate between Polish or Russian surnames ... Kislev was the melting pot of all of eastern Europe and it should stay as such or even maybe expand it to include some other countries influences
@@JamesEarlCash I mean Kislev IS very Polish in many ways. Yeah, in the lore this is where Goapodars are supposed to be from, unless Ungols ended up beeing more spread out as they started nomadic lifestyle post-conquest or Gospodars are from the deep chaos wastes before they were corrupted
Now that you got some new oldworld minis, how about one or two videos to showcase some of your armies or rare minis. Would love to see those Hobgobbos!

From rumors that CA Sofia maybe working on Total Warhammer 3 mortal empire map expansions for tilea and Estalia and Irrana mountains and Brittaina and wood elves region and Border princes and southeast of Grand Cathay in north part of land southeast of Grand Cathay if true or not we will see?
Do you think these changes will translate to Total War? I'm not only noticing map changes, but changes specific to Tikea, Estalia and the Border Princes. Could this hint toward coming factions? Perhaps I am reading into this too much but it would be an exciting update in my opinion.
They should release DoW first with some Cathay units/characters (soldiers of fortune far from home). People would gobble it up and THEN buy Cathay proper upon its release, too, plus GW could sorta assess the market and take in feedback. So probably they'll do the opposite.
Was I the only one who noticed a very peculiar symbol within the borders of The Empire? Within the borders of Westerland to be more precise, right around the Mirror Moors. Gnomes confirmed?
I wonder if Tilea and Estalia get their own proper armies if we would see them added in Total war, or if the DoW comes out first for Old World could we see stuff from that added on to TW if we get DoW
The placement of the Ungols label is strange. They migrated over the World's Edge Mountains over 2000 years before TOW's setting in the timeline, and those eastern lands became the domain of the Gospodars until they too migrated across, which then shunted the Ungols up into Northern Kislev towards the border with Norsca. I would have thought that the eastern domains of Kislev at this time would have been populated with lingering Gospodars keeping to the old ways still, and then later migrations back out east by the more intermingled Kislevites later. I wonder if we'll see Albion filled in at all, what with it being mystery mists island and all that. All the heraldry for Estalia and Tilea looks great, though I kiiinda wish some of the place names weren't quite so 1-1 with actual Spanish cites and stuff, it's Aquitaine and Carcassonne levels of pluck and place, but to be fair that's been quintessentially warhammer forever, and a lot of the place names were already lore. I hope they don't make the Mountains of Mourn too "thin", as they should be a really broad range that then leads down into the Mountains of Heaven, and contain the ancient giant lands within them.
Do we have any words on the Chaos Dwarfs? I haven't really followed much for some time on the tabletop side of things, but would like to get back into it at some point.

I'd rather stick with Dogs of War, otherwise everyone in Estalia gets a bull mount like with Kislev and bears or Tilean characters get a flying pizza mount or something like that.
Yeah, I think keeping them together is a better call, especially scince Estalia, Tilea and BPs have basicly same army system of employing specialists regiments alongside a core of loyalist bodyguards. If anything, they should just expand on each region as subraces, with Sartossan Pirates as a 4th.

Curious if we’re eventually going to get some more lore on Ind and Khuresh along with Cathay considering how little we know of those areas other then there being an Immortal Monkey hanging around there.
My main concern for Cathay is that the list will have tons of special rules and fun toys to play with compared to the empire which literally has jack shit and they are supposed to be the main faction operating in the old world. The main argument for the Empire being a bland list is that "they are humans". Yet we are seeing other human factions having boat loads of toys to play with. I don't see the problem with giving the empire something similar to what the creators of T9A did with the "orders" system as well as making the ulric and sigmar prayers more viable. I don't want to be stuck playing a fucking D tier faction with nothing special while Cathay and Bretonnia get to frolic around with tons of fun toys. Isn't this game supposed to be set in the time of the war of three emperors? GW could have stepped it up and made armies of infamy for the different factions within the empire but instead we got a useless army in the form of knightly orders (which no one uses I can assure you) The only positive thing that came from the knightly orders list was the ability to take a certain amount of upgraded order knights into the grand army list. GW could have easily just put that part into the book without needing to make armies of infamy around each order which suck rules wise. We could have got interesting lists for factions like talabecland or middenland/osterlund but instead we got this worthless waste of paper that is 'knightly orders'.
@gsauwce5488 wood elves are not done miss some LL and heroes and Units Queen Marrisith of Laurelorn the queen of wood elves in north part of empire they have own unique units and heroes and before late update for total Warhammer 3 they was wood elves Units in date files that not in game and not they now and one look like Cythrali wildwood Rangers and other look like Cythrali wildwood Wardens and female wood elve character
Cythrali wildwood Rangers and Wardens are demons and vampires and Beastmen hunters they are hybrid two hand weapon Units that that strong against demons units and vampire units and Beastmen units and they weld great 2 handed carved blade and wood elve long bow and the ability name call of wild that send Cythrali wildwood Rangers and Wardens it a battle frenzy that give extra attack bonus and give unbreakable perk and do more damage to vampire units and Beastmen units and Demons units
@@TheGreatBookofGrudges I think the issue is that the Ungols haven't lived out there for 2000 years though? They were in what is now Kislev at the time of Sigmar's forming of the Empire, and after the arrival of the Gospodars shifted into northern Kislev. If anything, you would expect the eastern reaches of Kislev over the World's Edge Mountains to be inhabited by Gospodars who have kept to the older ways.
For me it will be a realy disgusting decission to include a new faction before all original factions, that would be just another middlefinger towards the community. Personaly im not realy interested in Cathay and i would have more interest in new plastic models for all the ancient crap GW still sales for insane prices. There are some regions in germany with a somewhat big group of old world players (but not as big as fantasy was) and in other regions the game is completly dead and people play 9th Age, Armies Project or Oldhammer. The general interest isnt realy big. Biggest problems are the lack of faction support and insane prices for units like grail knights or teutogen guard. The core units are relativly cheap (for GW), but everything else costs you some of your organs. Many people arent willing to pay that crazy amounts of money for outdated models and a mediocre game, the nostalgia milking doesnt work to well here. Also the "new" lore is a big issue for many. We lost a lot of characters that were a foundation for the world and the stories told. Maybe this will change in the future, but in my opinion GW does a way worse job at character building and world building than it did in the past. Also it cuts of the connection between Total War and the tabletop (i talked with multiple people that asked me about it, that lost interest when they found out their favourite character isnt in the tabletop anymore) And for all people interested in Warhammer Fantasy: Just get a 3D-Printer, thats the future and way cheaper than buying tons of outdated GW models. Also there are better tabletop systems. 9th Age is an incredible well design copetitive game, Armies Project is the best Warhammer Fantasy tabletop created so far (tons of characters from lore, incredible list building options for themed lists, more units, still relativly well balanced) or if you like it easy and fast there is OnePageRules. If you end up with GW thats your thing, but for your own sake and the tabletop community as whole, please inform yourself about the many good options out there. Dont just run to Games Workshop and buy every shit they want to sell to you. GW has a monopoly (in reality) and is extremly hostile to customers. Its realy not a good company, they only have great marketing.
What do you think the chances are of warhammer fantasy being revived with a alternate timeline if the "old world" does good enough, because it seems that they are investing a crap ton into this because they have so much that they can use and because this is what everybody loves.
They have a huge amount of timeline in which they can write new stories or insert new creations without ever having a need to go beyond the 2500s which saw the end times, so it seems hugely unlikely that they would create an alternate timeline... just to bring back a few of the character from the 2500s I guess?
@euychua for me it's a shame. We have a medieval faction (bretonnia) and a modern faction frome the XVI century (EoM), but we lack a human antique ones. They should really do something in the roman-greek style imho!
Wow, its almost like you could massively expand the Old World content and implement a lot of new stuff without actually destroying the setting and replacing it with cheap high fantasy knockoff you had to spend 5 more years to build up to a level where it can be considered a setting at all and not just a backdrop for rule books.
I'll be honest, I still don't want Cathay. I want Kislev. "But Cathay plays a role and is attacked by Asavar." Yeah, and Kislev has been on the map from day one and could play a much larger role in TOW narrative. I would much rather we get the army that has been a constant in the lore for around 30 years and could actively contribute the narrative as a home player, rather than the relatively newly fleshed out faction.
Having a bigger Map doesnt solve the Problem that WH3 is missing on complexity inside the campaign. At the early stage of the campaign you Mostly just Auto resolve the matches. We need a better diplomacy system like in eu4 where coalitions really matter when you overextend or play too aggressive.
Getting tired of hearing about Cathay can they just make something we actually want plus has established lore in the franchise, not just stuff made up by CA.

“No one uses the knightly orders army” the book has only just dropped Jesus Christ :/
From rumors next dlc after omens of Destruction maybe Slaannesh vs Vampire counts vs Wood elves or Brittaina or Norsa if true or not we will see?
I think wood elves are done. Out of those options I think Norsca is the most likely to fit in with Slaanesh
Queen Marrisith of Laurelorn is mortal enemy of Slaannesh LL Declla who in rumors is Slaannesh LL and queen Marrisith is a enemy of Nafaeta
@@gsauwce5488How about Kurgan, focus on cavalry of Chaos tribes.
Still no remake of Warhammer Quest 95 for the Old World.
*THE OLD WORLD CHANGED WHEN THE STORMCAST ETERNALS ATTACKED*
I am a true believer that they just develop the map to show how bad the Total War Maps are! >8(
:P
NORSE DAWI!
And wood elves of Laurelorn Forest on the map
Just want to clarfiy, is this a update for the immortal empires map?
Its the Old World map update.
Give me hobs and some Reman cosplayers.
The Ungol placement makes no bloody sense
It does. The Ungols like the Gospodars all came from the East.
Also it cuts of the connection between Total War and the tabletop (i talked with multiple people that asked me about it, that lost interest when they found out their favourite character isnt in the tabletop anymore)
And for all people interested in Warhammer Fantasy: Just get a 3D-Printer, thats the future and way cheaper than buying tons of outdated GW models.
HASHUT! HASHUT! HASHUT!
Came for total war content. Sadge.
Map must have been taken down
I really hope that, if they would ever make a Tilean army, would look like more similar to the roman empire than the mercenary style we are used to
Possibly some unique units but they’ll probably lean on the merc side since that’s what everyone remembers them as
@euychua for me it's a shame. We have a medieval faction (bretonnia) and a modern faction frome the XVI century (EoM), but we lack a human antique ones. They should really do something in the roman-greek style imho!
Bro please please please sartosa pirate list please lol ! i think we all wanted it
Fml thought it was Total War, never clicked a video so fast
Hi.
Wassup.
Hello!
No Dawi-Zharr? :(
I doubt they will change or update old parts of the map ingame.
Had me all hyped thinking immortal empires map was getting an update 😂
Wow, its almost like you could massively expand the Old World content and implement a lot of new stuff without actually destroying the setting and replacing it with cheap high fantasy knockoff you had to spend 5 more years to build up to a level where it can be considered a setting at all and not just a backdrop for rule books.
I'll be honest, I still don't want Cathay. I want Kislev.
"But Cathay plays a role and is attacked by Asavar."
Yeah, and Kislev has been on the map from day one and could play a much larger role in TOW narrative. I would much rather we get the army that has been a constant in the lore for around 30 years and could actively contribute the narrative as a home player, rather than the relatively newly fleshed out faction.
and I dont want Kislev. So all is good
No Kingdom Of Nippon?😢
Having a bigger Map doesnt solve the Problem that WH3 is missing on complexity inside the campaign. At the early stage of the campaign you Mostly just Auto resolve the matches.
We need a better diplomacy system like in eu4 where coalitions really matter when you overextend or play too aggressive.
Why don’t you just play on a harder difficulty??
Age of SIgmar was a mistake.
Meh.
Getting tired of hearing about Cathay can they just make something we actually want plus has established lore in the franchise, not just stuff made up by CA.
I want more of Cathay (as Estalia and Tilea...and Ind and Khuresh in fact).
Speak for yourself
keep crying waa waa
The Cathay stuff wasn't made up by CA, it was created by GW and then passed onto CA.
