- Test Driving the Nissan Kicks E-Power 🚗 + Morning Delights at Pang Hainan Coffee & Nasi Lemak ☕🍳
Welcome to today’s vlog, where we combine cars and culinary delights!
First, we head to TCM Nissan Bayan Lepas to explore the innovative Nissan Kicks E-Power. This crossover features a unique powertrain: a 1.2L 3-cylinder petrol engine that charges the electrical battery system while the motor drives the car. It’s an incredible fusion of EV performance and petrol convenience! A big thank you to Mr. Desmond Quah from Tan Chong Motors for the walkthrough and test drive experience. (Contact him at 012-4827300 if you’re interested in Nissan vehicles!)
Next, we satisfy our morning cravings at Pang Hainan Coffee and Nasi Lemak in Tanjung Bungah. Known for its hearty nasi lemak with sambal that packs just the right punch, you can customize your meal with chicken, fish, or prawns. We also savored their kaya toast, soft-boiled eggs, and a hot cup of Hainan coffee-a perfect way to start the day.
If you’re curious about the car or the food, watch till the end for all the details. Don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more adventures!

Hello from S’pore! I have owned the Kicks E-power since 03/21. Yes, huge boot and super cold aircon. But more than that it drives really well and the fuel consumption is great (4.6l/100km). Mileage now is over 80,000km and no issues so far.
Thanks for sharing!!! I can't wait for mine to arrive!
Yours will be even better as it has the second-generation E-power drivetrain with better torque (280Nm vs 260Nm).

Is it? Wah this is a good news for me as well. My car is white, hope to be first in line when time came for pick up!
Nice breakfast outing.
The old stories about our uncles aunties and grandparents resonate with most Malaysians. The best were the stories of austerity during Japanese Occupation which set their frugal lifestyle. Good to teach our children these important life lessons.
As always, my prayers and blessings for this lovely family. ♥️♥️♥️🌹🌹🌹
Thank you bro... let's remember our roots and culture lah, it is important to know where we came from!
nasi lemak always sounds good to me 😋😛
Isaac's haircut looks trendy 👍
Wah, already booked for a new Nissan..... Congratulations 🥳
RM500 to book nia. But have to wait till next year for the car.
Yay new video!
Good and logical rundown on your reasons for buying the Nissan including addressing the worry of getting stuck on the road without power. If there were less people doing car reviews, I would suggest you doing that too 😅, as your reviews always have that "real" feel that your followers can relate-to and not just cold numbers.
I liked the "so corny" look that Naomi gave at your "pang seafood" joke; I get quite a bit of that from my daughters too 🤣. And she's a pretty smart cookie 👍
LOL no lah I was just sharing this as part of the vlog, don't have the passion to go test cars everyday, I already spend hours everyday ferrying the kids around to school, from school, to classes, getting groceries etc... Naomi always laughs later at my Dad Jokes hahaha
With due respect, most pure EV (battery electric vehicle BEV) range which is 400km is more than sufficient to run around Penang since you already have a Serena which can go outstation. Plus if you have charging at your house/condo you will find your total expense on electricity will be less plus more convenience. Most people think they need to go KL everyday but in reality it’s >90% work commute in reality. Plenty of BEV to choose from on a wide range of budget. Just sharing a point of view. Disclaimer: our household runs 2 EV and a petrol Serena equivalent.
Good morning. Another great video. Thanks. The nissan is very basic, price is good but against the competition, may fall short except that its hybrid.
OK lah. 900km per 41L petrol.
Bro, welcome to Bayan Lepas area again. Please come here more often so that we can see what good places to makan around here.... :-) Naomi took a big bite so that she does not have to ask for one more mouth 🤣She did not seem too impressed with the kopi-o and egg story haha. Wah, very soon wifey will have new car. Ayyy....you finally got your trusty Serena back!👍
I got it back after the Test Drive! 3.5 weeks... I missed it!
@pishedbloke Yes I can imagine how comfy it feels driving your own car. Looking forward to see more roadtrips
@@virtualexplorers6704 Luckily I still have my Serena for our upcoming roadtrip!!!
When I was in secondary school years, I would crack an egg into my very hot milo! Best breakfast drink!!
Hahaha yes!!! That's how they used to drink kopi or Milo with eggs.
Was having breakfast just now 9am, at Chowrasta market ..saw ur wife and Naomi pass by but not other members of the family..😊
Ohhh I was coming, I picked up my parents so we came in separate cars!
Simple life, Happy life....stay groovy👍👍👍👍👍👍❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍❤❤❤❤❤❤👍👍👍👍❤❤❤❤
😄😄😄 TQ!
Looks nice bro im also considering a hybrid. City hatchback too low and expensive. Cross hybrid too mahal. Haval hybrid pulak wa takut
This is not a hybrid actually, it is an EV, but instead of plugging into the socket to charge, it has a petrol engine to charge the battery! So you don't need to worry about charging your car halfway and lining up to charge somewhere. Go and try lah, it doesn't cost you anything. EV motor acceleration is quite exhilarating!
I tried to share the bfm podcast with you on nissan kicks but it just wouldnt go thru. Weird
Congratulations 2025❤ Nissan kick epower generator ❤ tops idol's usage oilfields global successful ❤❤❤❤
What is the cost to replace a new battery pack?
Around RM9K. It has a 10 year warranty for now.
Ya Nissan brand is in trouble going into liquidation
So you bought another car?
Change loh...
I think if you want your egg with your toast, you can order egg benedict
Poached eggs a lot more work than half boiled loh...
Safety first. Please ensure that your children are all wearing their seat belts.
100% always
this car ll keep chiming even if one is not buckled up...safety first.
Don't buy from a company in trouble
No logic, How come Only Kopi O can and using Teh or Teh Si cannot? Everything will be mixed in your Tummy after Breakkie la!
Matter of taste... if you like milk tea and eggs, maybe it will be a new trend :)
Its called PHEV, plug in EV. Fyi Nissan is having financial problem, according to analysts it s working capital only can last 9 months unless a white knight come an save them.
This model is old, the PHEV technology has moved in light speed. Its better to look for other brand like toyota, BYD or Geely.
Their battery pack is probably dated compared to current models. Sounds Nissan is dumping unsold units in Malaysia
It's an HEV not EV. No need plug in
I guess it is a matter of perspective. When I bought the latest tech stuff, some people say new tech is untested and you don't know if it is reliable, got many issues, etc... LOL This is a 2022 model which was sold in Singapore I think, the new facelift is available in the US website. They are built in Nissan Thailand to keep regional costs low. Also just launched in the Indonesian market.
salah...its REEV. but who cares, jus go for a test drive n enjoy e shiokness
so now cannot eat enough but need to do car reviews?
No more ideas already... LOL
nissan not in good position financially, then worst tan chong lol
all i read is service is bad and even this "newly launched" car is outdated as there is already a facelift version in other country
so many choices now i would not care about nissan
I have been sending my Serena to TCM in Sg Pinang and Bayan Lepas SCs... so far their service is really good. Honda is actually longer to book and service. No other car in Malaysia has this engine/EV combo at the moment. I live in an apartment so I don't want a plug in EV.
@pishedbloke normal servicing it's fine, most complain is when things goes wrong the warranty process is poor they will always deny a claim
Honda city RS e:hev is similar system and in the market for awhile. That is why tan chong not doing well. Any other brand is faster bring in new models and tech while tan chong idle.
Nissan is going bankrupt for many reasons....try other brands also.
Nissan financially not good, may be bankrupt. Selling cheap in USA. Is Tan Chong selling cheap? ua-cam.com/video/gKQ4lG2ZS88/v-deo.html
Just above RM100K lah, OK lah considering the bundle and consumption I will get this car lah.
