I appreciate your videos. I had looked into paddle board camping several years ago after just getting into canoe camping and didn't find many examples of people doing it. It's great to see that more people are doing it and that it's totally possible, especially in Ontario. I think I am finally going to get myself a paddle board now :)

You absolutely should head out this summer and do a trip on a paddle board.
Here is the trip I did last year. Longer than my first one as well as some portages ua-cam.com/video/xby7kyS4_04/v-deo.htmlsi=bUjSCAGHBQjetmgD

@@PaddleAdventurer You know, I live in Macomb, MI and have been having a tough time finding nearbly places to try an overnight paddle. Do you know of any online resources that I can check out. I've looked with no success. I'm okay with Canada locations too. My and my bro were going to take a trip to the Coldwater / Midland area. Thanks in advance.

You should totally plan your first trip! Find something small to do first. 1 night and a short calm paddle to the site. Or even do a half day test paddle with gear and a picnic!
      You got this 🙌🏼🏕

@@PaddleAdventurer OH TOTALLY! I had a x2/3 day trip planned (70km, easy paddle down river) for my bday on canada day but, being canada day, everyone always calls in sick and i'm a manager of a retail shop so it always falls on me.. lil shits >.< mid july a buddy and I are going camping so ima bring the board then, and then aug 20-30 doing a huge canoe trip with the same guy (455km paddle) and i was planning on brining my paddle for the first little chunk (lots of small towns stops along the way to drop off my board and jump in the canoe if its to much)

Hi i have watched lots of your sup vids - i am a newbie here in the UK - so i have a starter board 15psi hydro force oceanic 10 ft x 32" x 5" so i am up and away paddled the river wye 6 miles yesterday without a dunk the board feels good im 85 kg im interested on your thoughts on my board for me ... I sort of wish i had bought a 6" board but then i read that actually even RED boards are only 5" and finally if i put more psi in my board would it make it any more stable ...
    thanks in advance

    • @PaddleAdventurer

Thanks for checking out my videos, Steven!
Your board should have a volume and weight capacity. This is dictated by the dimensions of the board but also the construction.
Do you know that number for your board?
The wider the board the more stable it will be.
It sounds like you have a good all round beginner board.
Rigidity depends on the construction and quality of the board. Never pump a board beyond the manufactures instructed PSI. You'll likely pop the board if you do. The seams and glue won't be able to hold that pressure.
Red Paddle Co boards go to a higher PSI because of the quality and construction.
Like a lot of things you get what you pay for type of thing.
      I hope this helps!
