Arctic Monkeys aged like fine wine. Incredible how they were able to change their style and allowed themselves to bring something fresh and stimulating to the table. Can't wait for the next project.
I love anything they do honestly, they can do no wrong for me. It’s sad this album wasn’t very appreciated by many fans, just because it was too different from what they were used to hearing. I also love Suck It and See and that was also a massively underrated record. Smh
honestly every album is just a masterpiece. TBH&C is finally getting the justice it deserves, it’s literally a fucking god send. I cant wait to see what’s next
@@redmoon9650 I have to admit it took me a while to get into this album. Like at first I only liked this song and TBHC. I regret not giving this album more appreciation. I have loved Arctic Monkeys since I was 9 years old. I am now 22. 😭😭😭 I love their music but this album was different and I probably want ready for it back in 2018.
I don't understand why changing their sound from indie to this is an evolvement. I like indie more than this, and I don't see why playing a piano like if you were living in the 50's is better than playing a distorted guitar.
All I can say is I bought tickets for this Christmas, I bought Alex a pint well before they were famous touring university’s, I’m confused as hell. All o can say to myself is maybe there so ahead of there time I don’t get it or what the fuck is this shit
Alejandro Mdo Anyone can make something out of anything. Rehashing lounge sounds with a semi-ironic attitude is nothing original either. I do like some of the record, but I still think is a step down. People should stop pretending that this is something new and original. If you like it, great, just don't act like it's the greatest thing ever.
I think that Alex and the whole band decided to follow the normal natural path of aging and growing up, instead of getting stuck in their teenage years like most bands that had success during that time did. That's fine and it's just healthy and normal. Which means that he's a healthy guy instead of a junky drunk rock band guy like many others. I love him for that, he's still the coolest one. Rock on, Alex!
For sure. TBHC is such an avant garde sophisticated sounding album. It's like maturing from getting wasted with the boys at the pub to spending the night in your private library enjoying a single malt in front of the fire and reading some Baudelaire.

I can't believe so many people were disappointed with this album. I've been a big fan since their debut and think this is clearly their best work. It's not even a particularly strange direction for them to go in considering the constant genre switching away from their typical indie rock roots. The darker, dirtier stoner-rock vibe of Humbug; the clean, crisp pop-rock of Suck It and See; the anthemic, RnB-infused power chords on AM. Turner's strength has always been his witty songwriting. With the total death of mainstream guitar music, it was only a matter of time until they made something more Bowie-inspired. Alex really rose to the occasion with his showmanship. And I love the restrained lead guitar on this track. It doesn't even make an appearance until the last quarter of the song but comes in just at the right time to kick things up a notch.
I took a screenshot of this comment and I'm just gonna show to everyone who complains about their style changing after AM. Absolutely brilliant observations and thoughts. I feel the same. They changed their style with each album and if people listen to anything other than AM, it will make sense. I also appreciate that they do what they feel is artistically fitting and not always fall into what their fans or the industry wants.
João Botelho Oh I know that now, it just still makes me laugh! I first noticed it during the Liveroom video where they cover Hold On We’re Going Home and freaking lost it
João Botelho I agree.. it’s definitely different, and I think they were brave for throwing everyone a curve ball, but I do miss the older sound. That being said, there are moments on the album where you catch glimpses of the old gang, and there are even some new songs I like a lot! Star Treatment, Batphone, and The Ultracheese come to mind right away. But they’ll never replace the headbangers or ballads of their earlier work for me.
I’m always in awe with Alex’s vocals. I love that each album is different and the band has a new revamped sound. I don’t know why more people can’t appreciate that.
Ashraf Rahman I misread your comment and thought it said "I want to sign Alex turner up for dance classes" but I agree more with what you actually said
Feno Mozo just because it’s not underrated to you and the people who know them doesn’t mean it isn’t underrated. it’s underrated by people who don’t know and don’t listen to them, or barely pay attention to them

I'm not a hardcore Arctic Monkeys' fan, so it's really so delightful every time they come out with a new album, it's something completely different, yet somehow the same band. Like they're writing their life's story which each release, and the main character keeps evolving and growing.
This album is as good as their first. I love every track! It's so melodic and sophisticated. Traditional music writing which gives it the old school feel. I love it!
Mat isn't that bored he enjoys Arctic monkeys he's having fun and he gets to play older stuff on tour so he's cool man love Matt though one of my favorite drummers
That's what I thought about too as a gutiarist and an AM fan. I got it all up until 4:12. I think I get it but then I see what I got is way different then what he does with his fingers, he does some slides and I can't understand what he does there. One of the hardest solos to interpret because of it being so messy and all over the place (which makes it sound amazing lol).

What original video? :O :D
I can never tell if he’s trolling or not.
Well on lyric from she looks like fun was cheeseburgers so I won't be surprised
he definitely is
Cocaine, my friend
honestly both
He probably is, I still think he's the same person as the kid from the first few albums. Just a little more grown up.
I don’t care what anyone says. I love this album.
I was going through a difficult time when this album was released and it was strangely reassuring - particularly this song. Clever.
His performance here is amazing, and so fresh! Dance and all! He seems so enthusiastic about singing this song :) hadn’t I liked this song at the first hearing, I would’ve been sold here and now.
A modern masterpiece. I got to enjoy every semitone of this album and let it soak into my mind
I REALLY LOVE THIS SONG. IT'S SUCH A MASTERPIECE AS THE WHOLE ALBUM.
Those synth shots, this is top quality! Cheers!
Looking like Bono, singing like Bowie, Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino is a masterpiece. Album aged like fine wine
Heard this today on Radio One, and It brought a lump to my throat, I honestly thought. someone had released an obscure song of David's....I take my hat off to you Arctic Monkeys, pure excellence.....
I don’t see how many people hate their new album it’s amazing
Tranquility Base Hotel and Casino will go down as one of the best albums of all time.
They really got the whole vibe goin on, eh. Love it
Alex Turner and the Artic Monkeys are my favorite live band. Always will be, I want to see them live so bad. He always sings so flawless 🔥

Come on in, the water's lovely
Look, you could meet someone you like
During the meteor strike, it is that easy
Lunar surface on a Saturday night, dressed up in silver and white
With coloured old grey whistle test lights
Take it easy for a little while
Come and stay with us, it's such an easy flight
Cute new places keep on popping up
Since the exodus, it's all getting gentrified
I put a taqueria on the roof, it was well reviewed
Four stars out of five
And that's unheard of
Mr. Bridge and Tunnel on the starlight express
The head of special effects in my mind's eye
Hokey Cokey with the opposite sex
The things you try to forget, doesn't time fly?
I'm in no position to give advice, I don't want to be nice
And you know that
Take it easy for a little while
Come and stay with us, it's such an easy flight
Cute new places keep popping up
Around Clavius, it's all getting gentrified
The information action ratio is the place to go
And you will not recognise the old headquarters
All the nights that never happened and the days that don't exist
At the information action ratio
The only time that we stop laughing is to breathe or steal a kiss
I can get you on the list for all the clubs
I can lift you up another semitone
Take it easy for a little while (Take it easy for a little while)
Come and stay with us, it's such an easy flight
Cute new places keep on popping up

Since the exodus, it's all getting gentrified
The information action ratio (The information action ratio)
Is the place to go, four stars out of five
Take it easy for a little while (Take it easy for a little while)
Come and stay with us, now, it's such an easy flight
Cute new places keep on popping up

thanks for this
THIS IS ART.
I'm not a hardcore Arctic Monkeys' fan, so it's really so delightful every time they come out with a new album, it's something completely different, yet somehow the same band. Like they're writing their life's story which each release, and the main character keeps evolving and growing.
I love how he looks like an 70's person/ italian mafia/stuck in 2018 guy
this song, this album is pure gold
this whole album is such a vibe I’m in love
The cinematography in this is so good
This gives me life. It´s an absolute MASTERPIECE
Absolutely fucking magic album. Really suits Turner's voice as well. Possibly my favourite album ever.
I loveee this man, Alex is out of this world.
This album is as good as their first. I love every track! It's so melodic and sophisticated. Traditional music writing which gives it the old school feel. I love it!
I saw them live two days ago! The greatest experience of my life so far!!
nikos stmk rockwave ki esu?
yess!!
Omg
Incredible performance
wow he is seriously the sexiest man alive
Athena Hasti He is 😭❤️❤️❤️
So am i
This song just pulls you in after a few listens. They still got it!
It's crazy how he has evolved through time. I wish I had half his talent as a musician.
IM LITERALLY CRYING READING THESE COMMENTS HELP
#PrayForMatt
Hugh Mungus She looks like fun
at least he gets to put in some little fills here and there live :'(
Mat isn't that bored he enjoys Arctic monkeys he's having fun and he gets to play older stuff on tour so he's cool man love Matt though one of my favorite drummers
his hair grew out and he's hot again, thank god
He must be thinking something like “Fuck. When are we going to play Brianstorm?”
I'm super stoked because I think this is the first performance of this song I've seen where you can really make out that guitar solo from 3:57-4:27
That's what I thought about too as a gutiarist and an AM fan. I got it all up until 4:12. I think I get it but then I see what I got is way different then what he does with his fingers, he does some slides and I can't understand what he does there. One of the hardest solos to interpret because of it being so messy and all over the place (which makes it sound amazing lol).
I’ve been revisiting this album and I appreciate it sooo much. Alex Turner is an amazing musician and writer and I’m glad he was able to give us this
i love the faces alex makes while singing, it's just so goo to see him enjoying the whole thing
