I fully agree with you , if we can start at school level as part of learning curriculum we will achieve a lot within 20 years instead of introduction of learning new languages of our soon to be colonisers like Chinese Mandarin in South Africa. I'm readying myself and getting my skills internationally viable by finishing my MBA and getting my Post Grad in Business Analytics and Data Science - all by end of 2021. I believe the United States of Africa is possible, and I would like to live and work in Tanzania. I'm African first; from the SADC region second and South African third!

Often the people that bring change are the people that see things as they could be, not people that only see the reality of how things are. Sad to say, years experience will never open a person's mind to other options of life, years experience usually makes people arrogant to change.. The problem is other countries who like the present system. In order to unified a country you have to plan to go to war. Those countries who like the present system will intervene and prevent the unification of Africa. That's why Africa needs China. In every revolution where a super power is involved, you need another super power in your corner. America may tell you they win their independence all by themselves but if it wasn't for the French who was a super power at the time they would be laid to waste by the British. Haitians win their independence because the British was at war with the French, Colonization wasn't that important when another super power is breathing down your neck. If we have China keeping those countries at bay that don't want to see Africa unified. We would have a chance to unified the country. It's going to take a revolution to unify the country, because all those little quasi countries won't want to give up leadership, so they will have to be promt to join by force or be reminded that life is more important than having your own little country to lead.

You take one step at a time. Forget for the timebeing about relinquishing the sovereignty of nations because this threatens established power structures. Instead you focus on the intergration of corporations across borders. This is more realistic because if my company in Ghana and your company in South Africa managed to identify common ground we could acheive greater prosperity by working together. As more and more companies adopt similar models , governments will be more encouraged to tailor policy to support intergration because resultant growth will benefit state revenues.

lack of self reliance and overdependance on the west/china
