    Thank you so much. My teacher teaches this topic with such a long solution that's why I don't get it. But when I come here,I was shocked because the way you teach is so simple and with a short solution. I hope you grow your channel. God bless you

    at 10:00 you could just to factoring by grouping so that its going to be easier. (7x^2 - 28) + (2x+4) divided by (5x^2 - 20) - (x+2) then 7 (x^2 - 4) + 2 (x+2) divided by 4 (x^2 - 4) - 1 (x+2) cancel out like terms and it is equal to 9/6 = 1 1/2

      Yeah, that’s wrong; 5x^2 - 20 does not turn into 4(x^2 - 4)

    I love your videos bud, just wish you explained a bit more. Around 3:00 you divided both terms by X^2, why? Why not just "X".

    • @gotdbs
      @gotdbs 4 роки тому +4

      if he divided X^2 by just “X” it wouldn’t simplify to a whole number, it would simply to 1/x which isn’t getting rid of the fraction

    What I normally do with this is to simplify the complex fractions first on both numerator and the denominator then reciprocate the second fraction and then multiply coz dividing fraction is the same as multiplying the reciprocal of the second fraction.

    why at 9:08 does x-2 become x+2 when the parenthesis are dropped? 5
    5(x^2 -4)-(x-2) = 5x^2 -x-2 doesn't it? It has been a long time since I've done math and I'm here for review before a placement exam so I'm only asking to know if I am forgetting about some simple rule that i should know about.

    • @jackwilson4324
      @jackwilson4324 5 років тому

      Yeah, 5(x^2-4)-(x-2)=5x^2-20-x+2
      Then it simplifies to: 5x^2-x-18

    Pleas help... at 12:30 the last answer.... how come the top (x+2) did not cancel out with the other one to make zero. and on the bottom there were two (x-2) 's should this have been squared... Confused.. thanks in advance.

    • @dylanmercergo7853
      @dylanmercergo7853 4 місяці тому +2

      The x-2's were all in the denominator as with the x+2's all on the numerator. You can cancel is one x-2 is on the numerator and on on the denominator. As well as the affirmentioned x+2. Youre welcome.

    • @fydoria125
      @fydoria125 5 років тому +5

      You cant cancel the y since the other y in (20+y) is with a operation +or -.
      In other words, you cant cancel if the variable or number is with or in an operation. (+ and -) but you can cancel if its multiplication

      Will it be better if I DON'T go to school

      Seriously think about the consequences of going to school over not.
