- Glowforge sells an air filter right on their website which is needed to run the machine if you do not have any windows to vent. However, they still recommend using their filter even without windows. This is a hack for using your own inline fan filter system for less than $150. No need to buy an expensive air filter with cartridges you will need to replace every 6 months. So misleading. THIS IS NOT A FILTER. It is an inline fan. Filters nothing.
I’m a little bit confused by this video because it seems to be comparing your filter to glow forges filter but their filter allows you to use the glow forge anywhere in your home without a window. I think that’s why people spend money on it.

THIS IS NOT A FILTER, it's just a way to exhaust your fumes faster and further, and really the best thing about it is you can turn off the glowforge fan that sounds like a jet engine. BUT -- THIS IS NOT A FILTER --- This is just an external fan for exhaust. If you are not buying filters for a filtration system, or cleaning off some sort of removal filter, then it is not filtering anything.
