mashallah sis you are SO stunning!! 😍We actually reverted around the same time and I stumbled across your tik toks and I’ve been following your journey since. Honestly you have impacted me more than you will ever know. Hearing that you too struggled with salat and how you eventually taught yourself really gave me hope that I could learn how to pray myself also. It was because of you that I actually started praying because for months I avoided it after reverting because I thought it would be too hard and I should take things slow but to see you praying and already wearing hijab really gave me the kick I needed to start setting aside time to learn Arabic and the different steps to prayer. You are someone I look to as inspiration for where I hope to be in a few years. I love how unapologetic and brave you are about wearing hijab and sharing your story. I don’t wear hijab, but inshallah one day I will, but I just also wanted to say that your style is amazing and shows me that I don’t need to sacrifice wearing nice clothes when I eventually do choose to start wearing hijab, so for that, thank you. 💕

Thank you love! I completely understand, in western countries we aren’t taught about the good in Islam, we only hear about the people who claim to be Muslim terrorising people. It’s so sad. Hey Kishama, I’m not sure if you’ll see this or not, but I’m a Muslim in Australia too. I live in a small town, and for years, it’s been so hard for me to wear the hijab or dress modestly. I always get told by some of my MUSLIM friends, “why are you so religious? You’re doing too much,” and they made me feel so uncomfortable and not confident in myself and my own clothes. I keep wanting to take off my hijab, and wearing clothes in a “western way.” But finding you made me feel so much better. Seeing you wear the hijab and dressing modestly made me feel beautiful and confident too. It’s helping me with my own confidence. Thank you and thanks to Allah for showing me you. Hii maybe you can start doing something you love. If you feel comfortable wearing hijab, or atleast start wearing modesty clothes, just do it. But if you feel uncomfy, you dont need to force yourself. Take your time, and wear hijab when you're ready. Because when you wear something you like, you'll never feel sorry for wearing it
Sis you do not have to explain yourself for wearing bikinis or not dressing modestly at all. Its nobody's business and inshallah your journey is filled with blessings :)

Talking about your experience is literally what I went through although I was born into a Muslim family. Islam cannot be passed down you have to find it yourself all over again and let Allah guide your heart to the peace and all the blessings we get from being Muslim 😭😭😭

How Does One Become a Muslim or return to Islam?
One becomes a Muslim by believing in the Two Testifications of Faith and uttering them with the intention of leaving out blasphemy. The Two Testifications of Faith are:
I testify that no one is God except God ( Allah ) and I testify that Muḥammad is the prophet of God.
One has to believe that the Creator, Allâh, exists, and is not similar to anything. He is the only Creator and the only One Who deserves to be worshipped. He does not need anything and everything needs Him. God has Attributes of perfection that befit Him and any imperfection is not attributable to Him. Any imperfection, such as ignorance, place, direction, body, soul, organ, children, change or weakness, is not attributed to God. The rule is simple: Whatever you imagine in your mind, God is different from it. God sent messengers the first of them was Adam and the last one was Muḥammad. All the messengers, including Jesus and Moses, were truthful, ordered their people to believe in One God, Allāh, and not to associate any partner with Him. Hence, their Religion was the same: Islam. There is also a hadith in Musnad Ahmad which states, while the Prophet (peace be upon him) was speaking to Amr ibn al-As, “O Amr, didn’t you know that Islam wipes away all of the sins that one performed before it.
6 Main belief of Muslims: Belief in the Oneness of God: Muslims believe that God is the creator of all things, and that God is all-powerful and all-knowing. God has no offspring, no race, no gender, no body, and is unaffected by the characteristics of human life.
Belief in the Angels of God: Muslims believe in angels, unseen beings who worship God and carry out God’s orders throughout the universe. The angel Gabriel brought the divine revelation to the prophets.
Belief in the Books of God: Muslims believe that God revealed holy books or scriptures to a number of God’s messengers. These include the Quran (given to Muhammad), the Torah (given to Moses), the Gospel (given to Jesus), the Psalms (given to David), and the Scrolls (given to Abraham). Muslims believe that these earlier scriptures in their original form were divinely revealed, but that only the Quran remains as it was first revealed to the prophet Muhammad.
Belief in the Prophets or Messengers of God: Muslims believe that God’s guidance has been revealed to humankind through specially appointed messengers, or prophets, throughout history, beginning with the first man, Adam, who is considered the first prophet. Twenty-five of these prophets are mentioned by name in the Quran, including Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Jesus. Muslims believe that Muhammad is the last in this line of prophets, sent for all humankind with the message of Islam.
Belief in the Day of Judgment: Muslims believe that on the Day of Judgment, humans will be judged for their actions in this life; those who followed God’s guidance will be rewarded with paradise; those who rejected God’s guidance will be punished with hell.
Belief in the Divine Decree: This article of faith addresses the question of God’s will. It can be expressed as the belief that everything is governed by divine decree, namely that whatever happens in one’s life is preordained, and that believers should respond to the good or bad that befalls them with thankfulness or patience. This concept does not negate the concept of “free will;” since humans do not have prior knowledge of God’s decree, they do have freedom of choice.

this resonated with me so much!! you're so inspiring and keep it so real, i've been nervous about converting to islam and what my family will think etc (my partner introduced me to islam as well) and this was just so comforting to watch. The most comforting part was when you said God has forgiven you for your sins which is so so important, dont feel ashamed for your past its no ones business except for you and God. I’m currently thinking to revert, and it became such a strong conviction in me after about a week of researching. I would’ve but there’s still that thing in my mind going…”what would people say…” especially having grown up in a bubble of Christianity. So I posted a video on my channel to get people to speak to me, and to have conversations about it for more clarity, and you can guess the majority (the only lol) faith that’s speaking to me atm. I’d really appreciate having a conversation with someone who’s Muslim and knowledgeable to help.

4. Dont worship images/statues

“Do not make idols or set up carved images, or sacred pillars, or sculptured stones in your land so you may worship them. I am the LORD your God. (Leviticus 26:1)
5. Wool (ablution)
Moses and Aaron and their sons used to wash their hands and feet. 32 And when they come into the tabernacle, or when they come near to the altar, they wash;

6 Prostration (Muslim Prayer Form)

7. Covering the head

8 usury
He lends at interest and takes a profit. Will such a man live? He will not! Because he has done all these detestable things, he is to be put to death; his blood will be on his own head. [Ezekiel 18:13]
You should follow old testament.
Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.

8. The coming of Muhammad
You still have a lot to say, but you can't stand it right now. When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will glorify me. Everything that belongs to the Father is mine; Therefore I said unto him, I will take him, and shew him what is mine.

Who prays to whom?
Then Jesus went with his disciples to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to them, “Sit here while I go over there and pray.”” [Matthew 26:36].
“You heard me say, ‘I am going away and I am coming back to you. If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than me.
(John 14:28).
And he [Jesus] went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, “O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.”” [Matthew 26:39].
One of those days Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray, and spent the night praying to God.” [Luke 6:12].
For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me. (John 6 38)
Christianity in Islam means that of the Prophet Jesus (pbuh)
The disciples saw his miracles and misunderstood that he was God.

I still remember the first day I put my hijab on. The feeling is absolutely indescribable. Everything surrounding me felt so serene and calm. My nafs (inner self) was so happy and content that I was finally doing what I was guided to do. While I’ve always been a Muslim, I was never taught how to pray while I was growing up. It wasn’t until I was 17 where my nafs (inner self) was sobbing and begging me to start practising Islam. I wanted to put the hijab on immediately but I made myself be patient and steady in the process. I taught myself how to pray, pray on time, and build that connection with Allah through prayer and it took me around 3 months alhumdulillah. I can really relate to your revert story, Kishama, as someone that has always been Muslim. I hope you know that your revert story is not only important to other reverts & non-Muslims, it’s also so important for your fellow Muslim brothers and sisters to hear. @@KishamaMeridian I love you more!!!You are litterally so amazing i have always loved our religion and have worn the hijab since i was 3 as i felt so connected to it and would litterally wear it EVERYWHERE and refused to take it of even during summer which got my teachers "worried" although it was obviously racially aimed as they said to my mother and father to give me "permission" although i had clearly stated MULTIPLE times it was my desicion and that they themselves didnt even want me to wear the hijab as i was so young.Anywaysss thats a story for another day but i have always worn it and felt comfortable however i always felt a bit odd as all the girls would be wearing trendy clothes and i thought i couldnt but then i found you and realized i could and i now feel 100000x more confident and beautiful all thanks to you so thank you from the bottom of my heart for making me feel so happy and confident in myself 💕
