This is a game based off of a book of the same name. Said book also has a counterpart called "Daring Book for Boys". Now, don't take my word on this, but I believe that the female version of the book is essentially the same as the male - just with pictures of the appropriate gender depending on the version and slightly tweaked tips ("How to Be Friends With Boys" instead of "How to be Friends With Girls", little things like that). From what I remember of it, the book wasn't sexist at all. It didn't encourage you to sit around and have tea parties, you could build your own scooter, get familiar with a toolbox, pull pranks...I think what I liked the most was that if you *were* a girl who wanted to have tea parties, the book didn't shame you for that, just gave more tips on tea preparation or whatever. There are many ways to be a girl, and the book really reflects this, not shaming the individual female for what she wants. I hope the male version did the same thing.

If I recall correctly, the original Daring / Dangerous Book for Girls / Boys was about getting kids to go outside and learn how to do outside things, like treehouse building, hopscotch and chalk games, pitching tents, etc. So they made a video game where you stay INSIDE while you play as a creepy-faced child who plays OUTSIDE. Defeats the purpose of the original books, don't you think?

The unsettling blank stares, the little knowledge bubbles could easily turn darker and darker, the girl that says "I could swing like this forever!"... God I wanted nothing more than for it to take a downward spiral into insanity.
My aunt once got me the book version titled "The daring book for girls" or something. I remember at the end it told you how to cross Niagara falls on a tightrope. It also taught you what a will was and how to write one. I remember one sentence wrote "You should make a will for everything you own so that the people you love know who gets what in case anything happens to you!" With smiley faces.

This is the episode that got me hooked on gamegrumps, and I don't regret a thing. I remember just going through UA-cam, seeing this in the suggested, remembering I've heard of gamegrumps, and then curiously clicking. I remember liTeraLLy almost pissing myself from laughing. I love to come back to this episode every once and a while. I also watched it with my really close cousin, and everything with him is sentimental. I'm so happy gamegrumps is one of those sentimental memories. This is hecka sappy but gamegrumps will always hold a special place in my heart. I could go on, but it'll take forevER.
