For those of you curious, there are actually FOUR games that used the exact same engine. Those are Ninjabread Man, Trixie in Toyland (The two most of you know), Anubis II (A game I actually own for whatever reason), and Rock 'n' Roll adventures. All with the same music, gameplay, and art style. Ninjabread Man was actually the first to use the engine, but was released to the Wii after the PC and PS2. So yeah. TL;DR: Those jerks made a lot of money for doing one thing four times. You're welcome.
_Ho-lee-shit_ Okay, so Arin has said before that he has zero shame, and I was always cynical about that since he does have a bit of an ego (no pun intended), but this Grump episode proves his point. Dear god, that was *thee* fucking funniest story ever told. Arin's delivery. Danny's reaction. Jesus, my sides. I love these guys. I have to favorite this video.
That's what appeals to me about Danny. Jon was freaking hilarious in his own way, but that way usually devolved into incoherent mumbling and funny noises. Meanwhile Danny always has these crazy stories to tell, whieh are awesome.
+randman not the third one, though. weirdly the third one is "post a video describing D-club online for as many people as possible to see," which kinda goes against the first two rules but y'know. peen
To this day it amazes me the gall this company had. As many of you guys know by now, not only did they copy Ninjabread Man for Trixie in Toyland... they ALSO released the game as Anubis II AND Rock 'n' Roll Adventures. Yes. They made the same game FOUR TIMES when the Grumps were amazed at it being released two times.
I just looked up the release dates and *_holy shit_*. Ninjabread Man ~ July 13, 2005 Anubis II ~ July 14, 2005 Myth Makers: Trixie in Toyland ~ August 19, 2005 Rock 'n' Roll Adventures ~ September 17, 2007 That's right. They released a game, released it again _the next day_, released it once again _the next month_, and finally waited 2 years and a month and released it one more time. Jesus Christ.
A little wikipedia search and I found out that there are 4 versions of this game. They are: 1) Ninjabread Man 2) Anubis II 3) Trixie in Toyland 4) Rock 'n' Roll Adventures
The D Club has inspired me to write my first fanfic: ...the duel was beginning to take its toll on the combatants. Arin's sword was beginning to lose its integrity whereas Jon still had tantalizing images dancing in his head to allow him to carry on this fight for another 2 minutes. It was strange that Arin's weary mind would pick now of all times to show him humorous images of guys operating controllers with their swords. Suppressing an out-of-place giggle that would've been unbecoming for such a disciplined swordsman, Arin thought to himself, "I'll have to store that thought for later in case I ever decide to make a cartoon about a sequel to the Halo franchise. I need to finish this with one blow! But I'll have to use my partial flaccidness to my advantage!" With all the horse-wrangling skills he could muster with his Florida upbringing, he began to lasso...faster and faster it went until it was the perfect helicopter! Then he swung, knocking Jon's chaffed sword from his chaffed hand. "Do you yield?" asked Arin, pressing the tip of his blade upon his vanquished foe's chest as Jon hung both heads in shame and muttered under his breath, "I...dangly-ass yield". A cheer erupted from the D Club as both circumcised and uncircumcised wielders alike cheered for their new champion as they hoisted him upon their shoulders! (But not before awkwardly waiting a few seconds for their champion to sheath his sword to avoid last week's scabbard-bouncing-off-the-forehead mishap.)
Wait... at 16:43 while talking about the D Club there is a jingling of change as if Arin (or specifically Arin's pants) shift position, a brief silence, then Arin starts laughing hysterically before Danny uncomfortably closes the episode. Did... did Arin just induct Danny into the D Club?
Arin I think you over shared. This is funny because I remember back in the day when Danny would say something mildly NSFW he would think it was too much and stop, then this ha!
I know right but, I mean I think most guys have "whipped it out" for like a measuring contest sort of thing at one time or another but, I'm definitely not secure enough with my masculinity to mimic Arin's story here lmao. But, honestly like, major props to the guy for having the balls to share a story like that I mean c'mon. 16:00 I love how Dan just goes away for a minute and it totally gets all quiet and then all of a sudden... "O-M-G!!!!!!" LMAO!!! I fucking love these guys. XD
Trixie in Toyland and this gem of a game were created by the same brilliant minds that brought the world the timeless classic that is Action Girlz Racing. Data Design Interactive.
Somebody needs to do a "GameGrumps Animated" of the last 5-10 minutes of this episode. One of the most funny GameGrumps episode. THUMPS UP SO THE GRUMPS MIGHT SEE THIS AND ANIMATE IT.
You wonder why these random shitty games have so many views and likes and then you stumble into gold like this. Laughed for so long I thought I was gonna suffocate. So fucking funny.

My sincere thanks to Barry, for only censoring parts that SHOULD be censored (such as names of people that might not want to be named, passwords, or addresses.) And THANK YOU for not using that horrible BEEP. I'd totally dock with you any time. Even though I'm extremely hetero.

I don't claim to be a Ninjabread Man expert, but attacking the enemies to get back hearts seems like a pretty good idea. You're not going to be a respected member of The D Club if you can't swordfight like that.
Trixie in Toyland and Ninjabread Man came packaged together for $20, so they were literally released and sold together at the same exact time. There two or three other two packs released with these as well, one which had some shitty looking robot fighter game. Nobody ever bought them and I think they're still sitting in the back of the store to this day. Interestingly enough, there was a Gingerbread Man 2.
Conspiracy Entertainment began development on a sequel called Ninja Brian Man, but were unable to complete it due to a mysterious and unfortunate series of staff disappearances.

"OH MY GOD"
i was fucking dying at that part XD
I think there was laughter in the background at one point too. (My hearing might be off though) XD
No, it's not you; I heard laughter in the background too. It was probably Danny laughing at what Suzy told him xD
Aline G i second that
The long silence is the funniest part about the entire thing.
I cannot believe I just happened upon the legendary D club story without prior knowledge that this was the iconic episode. Wow. I feel so enlightened.

YOU CAN HEAR ARIN UNZIP his pants AT THE END, when they burst out laughing after dan said SUZY?!
Possibly the best Game Grumps story ever.
yep, I still love Dan's reaction from the "no way in hell this is true" to "OMG YOU WERE TELLING ME THE TRUTH!?!?!?!?!?"

Arin: *Laughs*
Danny: "SERIOUSLY?!?!?!"

They should've brought Suzy in to explain the D Club on camera. I feel like Dan's imitation of her didn't do it enough justice.
Listening to the D Club story after Arin officially came out hits different 😂
I love Dan's laugh you hear after he leaves the Grump room.
Actually, Mario was named after a guy who rented Nintendo a building and they just decided for that they would make a game outta him.
They just changed the original name to Mario, not necessarily made a game about him just because.
Neyonius Well that what you said
Don't reply over a month later, it's pointless. Have a nice day.
Neyonius they also made the character in his likeness.
Neyonius you replied a month later to his reply a month later..
I really wanted to know what was in that vault...
It was probably the D-Club's secret entrance...
Really? D-Club secret entrance?
It's the best I could come up with considering that is the only reason half the people are watching this episode...
kid14346 I'm just pointing out that it sounds like a corny gay pickup line. "Hey, wanna let me into you D-club secret entrance?"
