Upgrading your copy abilities is absolutely huge. Not only do they have different move sets and increased power, but unlock even more Treasure Road missions so you can get more rare stones, to get more upgrades!
Packed with the dodging, some upgrades are extremely broken

the stars are there in case you don't have a copy ability. if you inhale the stars, you can spit them back out to attack enemies. good to know incase you ever find yourself in a boss battle without an ability.

Yo yub, the backflips and side dodges are done by moving while holding r1 or r2 on the controller, also dodging just as something is about to hit you slows time for a few seconds
I like how he now makes kirby videos, because they are entertaining and funny to watch lol (also timestamp 2:09 is a fire freestyle)
I'm back. hold "r" or "L" and move the control stick, if you do it at the right time it slows down time. also you can turn off auto swallow, which lets you spit abilities out instead if swallowing them immediately.

In many cases, no ability often does more damage than abilities, at least they did in previous games.
Also the stars are projectiles that you can use against him if you happen to not have an ability during the boss fight, or get hit and loose it from getting smacked around trying to do the fight faster using the counter dodge.

From someone who has 98% completion, here's some advice (Which probably sucks but who cares lol):
01. Ability blueprints will occasionally be hidden throughout levels, but not very often. Look out for those if you care about upgrading your abilities, some are really cool and/or overpowered (And will also sometimes unlock more Treasure Road challenges for you to take on)!
02. Each area has 2 hidden Treasure Roads on the world map that you have to search for. They're always hidden in spots that stand out, so if you feel like it, try to quickly scan the area before starting the first level!
03. Those things you found which contained collectables, also known as "Gochas", will occasionally contain descriptions of what you got. For ones that represent bosses or characters, there could be some neat lore stuck in there, so if that interests you, maybe read a few descriptions (Especially if you care about the scent of the box that the stray dog is sleeping on)!
04. Being a Kirby game, as always, the game will start out very easy, something maybe a young kid might struggle with. But as you get through the game, the difficulty will ABSOLUTELY rise (Especially in the postgame, where boss battles actually require a functioning brain to beat)!

I wanted to keep myself spoiler free from this game until I finished it, but I looked up "kirby and the forgotten land final boss" the day of release and from there I basically spoiled myself for the entire adventure

the way I understand it, the stars appear after bosses attack so that if you don't have a powerup you can spit them out at the boss for ranged damage.
Well this turned out to be really fun and enjoyable when YuB makes it but still you beat the level outdone it and i hope to see you for more games like this or more series in the next time

you can press jump again while doing the slide to cancel it, which is the optimal speed strat and also makes you feel cool.
i would like to keep seeing the treasure roads, they are quite entertaining.
Press shield and move in any direction and you'll back flip unless your using some copy abilities that don't allow it. Also just gonna say sword shield slide attack into doing air attack does a lot of damage early game, and so does it's evolution 👍
