I love Sheppard's look at 0:37. A perfect mix of "I can't believe one of them actually has a knife" and "of course it's this guy who brings more knives."
Definitly one of the funnier moments in that episode, although one of my favorite moments is from season 1, The Rising. Ford and Sheppard are sitting in the Puddlejumper and Sheppard just figures out it works by thought, so he says "I'm thinking about a nice turkey sandwhich" They pause, look around, and then he says "Was worth a shot"
There could have been more funny moments with Ford and the team but the writers messed up his character. Not even Major Kowalski from SG-1 had it that bad. He was killed very early in the first season and appeared multiple times in alternate realities.
It'd totally be awesome if they have this in either the Justice League movie or the solo Aquaman movie! They all get captured, Batman figures out where the controls are at, Aquaman constantly keeps pulling out Atlantean throwing knives...
Sheppard: So I need to put how many knives you used in the mission report. I have Fords 1 knife RONON: Hell I dont know .. Sheppard : Count them. 3 hours later. Sheppard : Never mind I'll put alot!.
Ronan also has a few cannons under his clothes along with twenty more knives and a few gun packets....he could arm a few hundred people with what he owned...
I was working as a Security Officer at an International Airport and got in trouble one day when I had to cross through Security into a Secure Area because of the Knife I was carrying on My Belt. As a former Rescue Officer of 30 Years experience I never leave Home without a Specialist Rescue Knife.
"One of them to find and one to keep" Ronan is all like "shit only one to keep?" and now with American TV shows going the way they are you will see Ronan on horders... "So what I have 200 knifes! Back off they are mine!"
this is my ALL time favorite clip from an ep. I made my friend watch the whole episode, just to see this part. 'The Hive' has lots of Ronon, so im completely happy. thanks for the upload/
You know, in some ways, it's a good thing Sun Francks left the show. If he hadn't, we never would have gotten Jason Momoa as Ronon--and we would have missed a lot of fun moments to watch.
I can honestly say I'd rather have a feature length SGA movie than Aquaman. God, it sucked that they didn't get a TV movie like SG-1, Atlantis was the best by far of the three shows.
SG1 was without question the best since it was the most unique. Archeology in space was so original, Atlantis was good but they completely dropped that aspect. And they didn't do anything involved our myths, which was so cool in SG1. I don't get why especially considering they had all the South America and Asian empires and their myths.
I'm not sure I could personally argue any of them as the best overall, but Atlantis was very consistent in quality, the are a lot fewer episodes I skip over when I'm rewatching the series.
SG-1 was the better show. It just had so many episodes that there were bound to be arcs that were clunky. SG-1 had the better cast too. Atlantis had Momoa, which is a hell of a trump card but otherwise the SG-1 cast was just a bit better everywhere than the Atlantis equivalent. I say that even though I liked the Atlantis cast too.
I know TV but as someone in the military being trained by someone like Ronon real talk even if you don't make it through you will learn so much and improve in so many ways.
'Hell of a time going through airports' - Lt. Col. Shepperd commenting on Ronon(Jason Momoa) producing seemingly unlimited number of knives to escape prison. Stargate Atlantis
Any time my friends/family go with me somewhere that has security/metal detectors, before we leave the car, I get a barrage of, "Lee, don't forget to leave your knives in the car.", for that same reason. If I get dressed and leave my house, you can assume I've got at least 3 knives on my person, plus whatever's in the bags I'm carrying. My sister is the same way. This also allows us to be fun at birthday parties/Christmas, because when someone gets a gift unwrapped and they still have to get it out of the packaging, and ask, "Anyone got a knife? This thing is all tapped up.", my sister and I each flip a knife out, and then our friends groan, "Of course, the pair of you came armed to a CHRISTMAS party" kind of thing.
From my recollection, he had at least two at each wrist in otger eps, at least one hidden in his hair, I think one on his belt buckle, in his shoes, behind his holster for the gun, and I think some near the small of his back. So that's at least 9-13, depending how many he tucked in his shoes & hair.
The atlantis movie is suppose to cont. from the last episode of atlatnis when it got to earth they need to start making it atlantis was the best out of all
@koryan exactly!...and yet they choosed Mark Wahlberg to play Nathan Drake...seriously wtf?!? Someone should have suggested Joe Flanigan to David O. Russell...not only he looks like Drake, but also has that same kind of charm :P
Ronon did not hit the right part of the console, the ship just finally surrendered.
Ship, "Fine! Just stop stabbing me, jerk!"
Nine years later and this comment is still funny!
@@FuzzMustard I could see that as a possibility. Wraith ships are part technology and part organic material.
It ran out of HP
I always thought I’d the wraith hive ships as sort of leviathans like Moya. Ronin just hurt its feelings enough to open the door.
There are two theories on how many knives Ronon has.
1 - One more knife than necessary.
2 - An infinite number.
well at least 4
What if infinite knives are necessary?
Like regenerative health in games. Not like before in the old days where you actually had to work your ass off to stay alive, haha.
The amount of knives Ronon has is yes.
All y'all forgetting something...
If "everyone knows" the rule of "one to find, one to keep..."
How many did the Wraith _find_ on Ronon?
I love Sheppard's look at 0:37. A perfect mix of "I can't believe one of them actually has a knife" and "of course it's this guy who brings more knives."

Ronon: What's an airport?

Ha, it’s not a replicator… of course in this universe having a replicator is really really really REEEEEEALLY bad.
There could have been more funny moments with Ford and the team but the writers messed up his character. Not even Major Kowalski from SG-1 had it that bad. He was killed very early in the first season and appeared multiple times in alternate realities.
What I find funny is how he pulls that last one straight out of his hair lol 😂
"One for them to find, one for you to keep" bruuuh, that's some amazing life advice.
"how many do u need?" ha ha classic!
Did he say "How many do you need?" XD
That would be epic, haha!
Yes, yes he did
it's the ronon super power, infinite knives.
John Walker II
So he's Batman from Arkham asylum the game? lol
+Howyaduing He might be!
@@Howyaduing also knives

Why would Atlantians' have throwing knives???
(Think it through for a second)
@@adamsrealm Because its the same actor. I take your point though... Mini torpedoes?
@@adamsrealm Thinking is hard for a lot of people. Especially OP, and the guy above me, lol.
"how many ya need" :D always me laugh..
Haha... gotta love Ronon!

RONON: Hell I dont know ..

LMAO!!!! XD "Must have a helluva time going through airports!" XD Funny Sheppard!
Ford: "1 for them to find, 1 to keep, everyone knows that."
Shepard: "Right?.."
that was funny :P
Yeah it was funny and i hate to kill the mood but that's bullshit
So then how many did the Wraith _find_ on Ronon? 🤔
That was a funny scene .. They pulled it off perfectly .. Every fan of SGA remembers this scene
now he has to put them all back
That might be a pain in the ass.
SamuSeen hopefully not literally
I actually never thought about that😂
This is like a DnD campain, ronan with the unlimited knife skill
And now I can't unhear a voiceover:
"Dagger, dagger, dagger..."
Shepperd:how many of those things u got?
Ronon:how many ya need?
XD lol
I love Ronon Dex's deadpan humor!
Ronan also has a few cannons under his clothes along with twenty more knives and a few gun packets....he could arm a few hundred people with what he owned...
dude i wish i could walk around hiding that many knives
I still remember watching this the first time on TV, I busted out laughing the second it cut from commercial to the scene of the wall/pin cushion
I was working as a Security Officer at an International Airport and got in trouble one day when I had to cross through Security into a Secure Area because of the Knife I was carrying on My Belt.

man i love this show
Much better than Universe XD
so true :D
A lot better than the original Stargate.
@@timmytheimpaler no, Sg1 is still a legend

Ronon gets his knives from the same place Herschel from the walking dead buys his shotgun shells!
AAAAAAAAHAHAHAHHAHA
Gotta love those two!
Too bad they ended this show :( the bright site out of it was they didn't ended like other canceled shows, without an ending.
Gosh, I miss this show so much 😢
The humor was always on point
Rofl, Ronon is the best stargate character ever!!!
Agree. Ronon added new life to Atlantis.
Ronon's so fucking deadpan, he's brilliant. Him and Tia'ulk at Midway station...Indeed!
teal'c
What the fuck did you just call teal'c?
got to love Ronon!!! total badass facter going on, that makes him so hot.
That was a classic scene from the show .. You knew it was coming but it was still funny and so fits their characters

This is amazing
This is why Ronin is my favorite male character!
I love these guys. That is hilarious! Who would go to the airport with Ronon? Great!
Even funnier still did anyone but John and Ford know what an airport even is??

Blue Sky rising was technically their TV movie. Sold separately and everything

I'm more impressed they treated those controls as a target board.
This is peak DnD rogue. Like now I just want to play the guys that has knives hidden all over
He's like a tough Marge Simpson
There are several speculations going about just how many knives he has. He should be asked that question during a convention ^^

LT Ford got so annoying in this part of the series, I couldn't wait for him to be done with.
Ford was ok until the writers decided to make him all hopped up on the Pegasus galaxy's version of heroin.

Ahah Ronon is so pro, he probably has a whole stash of knives.
Sooner or later Ronan will run out of knives. If he ever gets to that Last one... well... hope that wraith or human likes getting a sepsis infection

I would have gladly had a few more seasons of this instead of SGU.
They should have done both

"many as I need" THAT would be me, ALWAYS carry around a bunch of knives in case you get captured
How many do you need? is what he says
