The dualsense edge is 200 dollars plus in my country the dual sense edge is around 300 to 400 and even 500 dollars and even the scuf looks way better in my opinion I might get it

the edge seems more integrated (as it is created by sony) but the scuf is quite nice too, if i was in the market i would probably get the edge one due to the fact i can make game profiles and it auto swaps but the scuf is very close

I had a sucf got the edge and prefer it. Scuf are over rated both my PS4 sucf controllers and ps5 all have stick drift. Massive waste of money
PS5 pro controller by sony with the stick modules comes in clutch when it comes to stick drift
They should bring out hall effect sticks later as an upgrade. So there never will be any stick drift 😊

@@blackopzgaming6196sad part is they could actually save money on manufacturing by making controllers with magnetic hall thumbsticks even if it meant increasing the price of the controllers going forward. Should be a obvious win-win for Sony and Microsoft there.
Face it, you want a pro controller for the remappable paddles. A scuf can cost 300+. And if the sticks get stick drift, you’re buying the analog stick module and soldering a new one in yourself, or buying an entirely new controller, vs spending an even 200 on the edge controller and possibly having to spend 20$ and 30 seconds to replace stick drift. Scuf has always been overrated as fuck 😂
scuf is only "overrated" because they use the stock joystick interface rather than a higher quality hall interface because they buy a stock controller and overhaul it and cant find a way to justify the added cost of joysticks because unless you're having issues you wouldnt notice
4 paddles + replaceable stick modules is what we need

@@Fluctlight for FPS games mouse clicks are the ONLY way to go, in my opinion there’s literally nothing that can be annoying about them other than them not being good for other games like racing games. What makes them annoying to you?
@@FrEzNoGriZzLY I personally find the sound irritable, besides that I've got nothing against mouse click. The Edge has adjustable triggers though so it's triggers can be just as good for shooters as mouseclick.
@@Fluctlight I wear headphones when playing fps games so I’ve never heard the trigger noise while playing but I could see that being annoying if you don’t.
I definitely think that mouse clicks give you an advantage over the adaptive triggers on the edge, I’m sure it’s very minimal but when trying to play competitively it matters. I play with mouse clicks, and no rumble packs in my controllers. Every little advantage you can get helps.
Hands down would get the edge if they had it in black and they added four back buttons. The fact that you can switch out the sticks when you get stick drift is where they won me
If only rhe edge had 4 extra back paddles instead of 2.. the problem with the scuffs is that as soon as you start customising one, the price hikes up dramatically!

Don’t forget that if you add custom colours and add digital triggers etc to the scuff it comes in priced waaaaay over what the Dualsense Edge costs.
A fully customised scuff with digital bumpers, triggers and face buttons plus custom colours could run up to over 300+ depending on the config
At that point you’re just buying for the brand
@@Themarcoalmonte I’ve had the same ps4 scuf impact for 8 years now; you’re not wrong that’s why I’m buying a dual sense edge today. Still can’t deny how reliable and durable a scuf is though they make a great product just with Sony having their own pro controller now they’ve undercut all these other 3rd party companies prices and made their product more user friendly.
You can customize your ps5 edge with extremerate products. Faceplates, back plates. sticks, back paddles/buttons, etc. different colors for everything, and different colors and designs for face plates just have to be willing to take it apart to change stuff out on it

Dual sense easily you can make the most goofiest button layout on it plus the edge feels more durable
The Edge is my favorite controller and only paying $20 to replace thumbsticks with drift (had mine about 9 months and zero drift so far) is a game changer (hall sensors would have been better ;but if they make some then swapping out is super easy).

The scuf reflex and reflex pro have haptic feedback like the duel sense. Its the FPS version that doesnt have the haptics. I have the Reflex Pro and it does have the exact haptics.
for stick drift:
scuf tend to use joystick interfaces with lower use hours. if you know how to replace them then go for hall joysticks ( think thats what they're called ) since they have 20+x the lifespan. and thats the only real problem with a scuf outside of manufacturing defects is that since they're custom they are slightly more fragile so you gotta take care of them
I own both. Haven’t had the PlayStation duel sense edge long enough to give my opinion on it but I’ve had the scuff controller for about a year and within the first 2-3 month there was noticeable stick drift and the paddle stick. And pretty much zero warranty.
You get more feature and a warranty atleast from PlayStation

i have the edge and elite series 2 now it feels like i have the best of both worlds even my monitor and set up i worked so hard that it feels like i can no longer level up and i just am so satisfied and feel accomplished

You have to have a ps5 to map the back paddles/function buttons on the dual sense edge. Or you can use an emulator if you have a PC and don’t have any friends with a ps5. I have both, I will say the SCUF ps5 reflex FPS triggers don’t squeeze down as far even tho the edge has adjustable trigger positions. The scuf doesn’t have the small back paddle/button tho.. which is real nice on the edge. Tough decision. Knowing what I know now I would go with scuf if I was on PC (which I am) and the edge if I’m on ps5
Xbox 150 - 220 for Xbox elite series 2 from design lab is like 200 or 210 or 220 but the black regular is 170 or the white core no back paddles or no extra sticks and everything but the controller is 150 but u can buy those separately for 55 with is not worth it so just get regular or whatever you like
There needs to be more controllers with stick modules! Thats always the first thing to go on all my controllers. Then they just become a paper weight once the stick drift gets bad enough.

Scuff reflex pro battery literally lasts me from morning till basically bed time I love my scuff and wouldn't choose the playstion pro controller over the scuff
Warranty factor is the most logical reason to buy the edge.
I’d prefer 4 buttons on the back of the DualSense Edge and if more colour options were available but it’s better all round. I’ve brought 2 Scuf’s now and always the same issue. Stick drift and it’s always after the warranty has expired. Still looks brand new and has never been damaged. Just bad parts used. At least with the DualSense Edge can buy replacements.

Depending on the game, it can help tremendously. For example, in Apex having the two paddles in the back can help for you to move around and fight easier without having to remove your thumb from the joystick. In simple terms, you will have faster inputs into the game.
I have the elite series 2 controller for the Xbox, and it does make quite a difference being able to map the paddles to different buttons. Also makes racing games a little more fun if you don't have a steering wheel
The two above me are clowns for justifying that price.

dude, these controllers have a marked effect on performance, it’s really just simple mechanics, I don’t have to move my thumb, im always ready to ADS, and I can slide / use abilities & items without also removing my thumbs from the right stick. Trust me, a good player becomes great with a scuf, and a great player becomes almost unstoppable
Idc about not having 4 paddles on the back of the edge i just wish the triggers were instant like the scuf…if it had that it would be absolutely perfect for me!
The edge, nothing beats factory oem performance.
Scuf is notorious for falling apart immediately and poor technical support.

Have both easy both are really good in there own ways. But i would still choose aim over scuf for lifetime warranty.
Edge would destroy scuff is they added more colors. But being able to stop stick drift from being a need for a new controller makes it a clear winner
I agree with the verdict: the edge has more features and attachment while the scuff would be gamer's who love controller color customization wet dream, don't get me wrong, I'm sure it serves a purpose but for me, personally the scuff seems to like certain smartphone company's who too also caters to customers who want to personalize their phones. I wouldn't get either one but if I was going to, it'd be the edge just because of all the features and accessories that come with it make it the more practical choice between the two controllers.
Reflex after about a month that little button under the paddle started to malfunction/stick .. took a while to return that controller .Scuf customer support sucks .. really liking the edge 7months strong no issues .. triggers are a little mushy though but all in all fantastic controller
I was deciding what controller to get a few weeks ago and I chose a totally different controller, a cinch controller, it's been great swappable thumb sticks (you get lots of them) and instant triggers better than my old scuf, idk it just feels different and 4 back buttons so far it's been amazing with no stick drift

The replacement sticks alone makes it a clear winner. $20 to fix drift opposed buying a whole new controller, no contest.

Dude in germany u get a scuf for just under 300€ what would be like 315 dollar
Mine just arrived yesterday. The d-pad feels like it is sticking and the right arrow misses a lot of light input. It requires a lot more force than the other buttons. Is the rubber membrane supposed to feel the same (as firm) as the DualSense? I really want to give it a shot if this isn’t the case, and considering a replacement/repair and don’t want to eat the 15% restock fee if they don’t deem this as a defect. What are your thoughts?
Scuff has haptics and adaptive triggers if not instant ones.
You also forgot the price difference. For paddles and mouse click triggers by themselves it adds a lot to the difference

Dual edge guys trust me I have it been using it 1 month straight no issues so customizable & it’s just a great build quality overall yes it’s up in price but worth it everything is comes with is top tier quality
The scuf has the regular haptics, the same as a dualsense, they just call it vibration on the site.

@guitarfreak98ify ya, it's literally the exact same controller but with 4 paddles on the back. Unless you get the digital tap triggers or the haptics taken out.
I have both and I like the Edge better.
I got both but prefer the scuf cause I use 4 paddles but the edge is the more sensible buy. It will last a lot longer than scuf. My scuf just returned from a month long repair. Got the edge as a backup

The main problem with the edge for me at least is that it only has 2 back paddles instead of 4
For the haptic feedback and adaptive triggers alone I would always choose the edge. Gaming feels so much better with it
the haptics are optional for scuf, they fall under the with/without vibration
Shame when people don’t mention that you can get tactile buttons on a scuff instead of mushy ps5 buttons but hey everyone’s a salesman nowadays features and benefits let’s scratch the surface

Build quality on the Scuf was horrible. Bought the Scuf Reflex FPS and when I received it the right stick was sitting higher than the left stick and the left stick was tilting slightly to the right. I immediately returned it and got my money back. Absolutely love the Dual Sense Edge. Haven’t had any problems and build quality is much better. Battery life sucks but other than that it’s great.

You forgot the most important part and that is that with the edge controller you can actually replace the thumb sticks modules when they go bad for $20 and the scuf you gotta buy a new controller

I am pretty sure only Scuf reflex fps doesn’t have haptic feedback but the normal Scuf and Scuf pro have it.
I have both. I love the edge more but I must say.. after owning it for just 3 months.. my right stick module is already completely shot with stick drift. Like it won’t even snap back to center.. it just hangs.. 😭😭😭 3 MONTHS!
Plus the edge is easy replace for stick drift
Go with the edge I got the reflex and already got stick drift with no alternative for a quick fix and it was way past warranty

My dual sense edge right back paddle is already sticking and cant be pressed. Lasted less time than the scuf reflex fps i originally had that broke...scuf only broke because of what i did with it. The dualsense edge back paddle just stopped working after taking pristine care of it.

Pretty sure the scuf reflex pro does have haptic feedback they start with a standard ps5 controller and mod it they don't change the rumble
U gotta throw in there that customizing the scuf is an extra $50 as well
For pro gaming 4 paddles and clicky buttons on the scuf are superior to the haptic feedback as vibration is usually turned off so you dont get thumbstick inaccuracy. Scuf for pro gaming. Dualsens edge if youre an average gamer with money. 2 back paddles isn't enough as you can buy a regular ps5 controller and get an attachment. No attachment has 4 paddles though only 2.
Two paddles are completely fine. Don’t lie. I sat and wondered what other buttons to maps on certain games for the other two paddles. Slide mechanics and maybe another button on the D pad are all you’d really use for the back buttons. It is nice to have the other two but they’re useless unless you’re trying to make a gimmicky scheme that doesn’t work
