I had a sucf got the edge and prefer it. Scuf are over rated both my PS4 sucf controllers and ps5 all have stick drift. Massive waste of money
the edge seems more integrated (as it is created by sony) but the scuf is quite nice too, if i was in the market i would probably get the edge one due to the fact i can make game profiles and it auto swaps but the scuf is very close

@@FrEzNoGriZzLY I personally find the sound irritable, besides that I've got nothing against mouse click. The Edge has adjustable triggers though so it's triggers can be just as good for shooters as mouseclick.
@@Fluctlight I wear headphones when playing fps games so I’ve never heard the trigger noise while playing but I could see that being annoying if you don’t.
I definitely think that mouse clicks give you an advantage over the adaptive triggers on the edge, I’m sure it’s very minimal but when trying to play competitively it matters. I play with mouse clicks, and no rumble packs in my controllers. Every little advantage you can get helps.
Hands down would get the edge if they had it in black and they added four back buttons. The fact that you can switch out the sticks when you get stick drift is where they won me

For real bro. It’s not worth it. Cuz Scuff will charge you like $80+ dollars just to fix their cheap analog stick issues. While the Edge has its own replaceable stick modules you can buy for like $20-30 depending on where you live.
My dual sense had drift out of the box lol they all go bad unless they use hall effect sticks.
That’s scuf breaks in a few weeks. They using them cheap ass fake controllers and modding them. Every scuf i had was fragile asl or broke some how some way. Don’t waste your money
Im still lost as to why these controllers are $200 they cant make a person that much better.
Depending on the game, it can help tremendously. For example, in Apex having the two paddles in the back can help for you to move around and fight easier without having to remove your thumb from the joystick. In simple terms, you will have faster inputs into the game.
I have the elite series 2 controller for the Xbox, and it does make quite a difference being able to map the paddles to different buttons. Also makes racing games a little more fun if you don't have a steering wheel

dude, these controllers have a marked effect on performance, it’s really just simple mechanics, I don’t have to move my thumb, im always ready to ADS, and I can slide / use abilities & items without also removing my thumbs from the right stick. Trust me, a good player becomes great with a scuf, and a great player becomes almost unstoppable
Well scuf is really overpriced amd gets stick drift in like 4 months and dualsense gets about 1 and a half years

You have to have a ps5 to map the back paddles/function buttons on the dual sense edge. Or you can use an emulator if you have a PC and don’t have any friends with a ps5. I have both, I will say the SCUF ps5 reflex FPS triggers don’t squeeze down as far even tho the edge has adjustable trigger positions. The scuf doesn’t have the small back paddle/button tho.. which is real nice on the edge. Tough decision. Knowing what I know now I would go with scuf if I was on PC (which I am) and the edge if I’m on ps5
Xbox 150 - 220 for Xbox elite series 2 from design lab is like 200 or 210 or 220 but the black regular is 170 or the white core no back paddles or no extra sticks and everything but the controller is 150 but u can buy those separately for 55 with is not worth it so just get regular or whatever you like

Scuf controllers are absolute garbage. I have bought at least 10 different scuf controllers and they breakdown within months. My last scuf impact had issues within the 1st hour of use. The triggers were sticking from the adhesive. I gave up sending that controller back after the 5th time in 3 months and vowed to never buy scuf controllers again.
That being said, scuf is great while it lasts but not for long.
My hands are really small, so the scuf seems really uncomfortable for me. The higher half domes on my dual sense edge are perfect, though I wish I could have more buttons back there comfortably.
Scuff for design and edge for overall usefulness 👍
The replacement sticks alone makes it a clear winner. $20 to fix drift opposed buying a whole new controller, no contest.

Don’t forget that if you add custom colours and add digital triggers etc to the scuff it comes in priced waaaaay over what the Dualsense Edge costs.
A fully customised scuff with digital bumpers, triggers and face buttons plus custom colours could run up to over 300+ depending on the config

Still can’t deny how reliable and durable a scuf is though they make a great product just with Sony having their own pro controller now they’ve undercut all these other 3rd party companies prices and made their product more user friendly.

I have both. I love the edge more but I must say.. after owning it for just 3 months.. my right stick module is already completely shot with stick drift. Like it won’t even snap back to center.. it just hangs.. 😭😭😭 3 MONTHS!

i have the edge and elite series 2 now it feels like i have the best of both worlds even my monitor and set up i worked so hard that it feels like i can no longer level up and i just am so satisfied and feel accomplished

Price is wrong, haptic feedback info is wrong, the edge doesn't come with thumb sticks, it comes with caps. Very different. Edge has 2 back buttons, scuf has 4. Convenience is also dependent on situation and personal opinion.
Scuf is $210 at cheapest.
Edge is $200
Scuf has the option for haptic or instant click.
Edge only had Xbox style locks on the triggers.
You customize the thumb sticks you want on scuf.
Nothing is custom on the edge, besides button profiles.
Also:
Edge thumb stick modules are almost aways sold out, so having the option to replace them doesn't really matter when you can't buy the module.
It looked the Playstation pro controller was gonna be better than scuf just cause you can replace the joysticks if it drift while scuf you can't you got to buy a new scuf controller I respect Sony for that we can buy joysticks replacements rather buying a whole new controller
Scuff reflex pro battery literally lasts me from morning till basically bed time I love my scuff and wouldn't choose the playstion pro controller over the scuff

Build quality on the Scuf was horrible. Bought the Scuf Reflex FPS and when I received it the right stick was sitting higher than the left stick and the left stick was tilting slightly to the right. I immediately returned it and got my money back. Absolutely love the Dual Sense Edge. Haven’t had any problems and build quality is much better. Battery life sucks but other than that it’s great.
We went from 60€ to 140€ to 200€ controllers in just a few years.
The scuf has the regular haptics, the same as a dualsense, they just call it vibration on the site.

The skuf reflex controller is horrible. 4 months into ownership i have the worst stick drift ever. I play rainbow six seige and ill do 180 degree turns without even moving my right stick. It doesnt stop there. When i go to sprint it sticks (my srint will just stop). And guess what.... It doesnt stop there.. my x button will activate randomly. I was playing in a ranked match in seige and i automatically repelled on a skylight without tought x or the paddles. Run away from skuff or buy a year long warranty if you do get one. Terrible controller

Dualsense edge only has 2 paddles which is horrible the only way to even customize it is if you have a ps5 but with the scuf you get 4 paddles and MOUSECLICK triggers

None of these “premium” controllers are worth it, I’ve had Scuf, Nacon, TB, Xbox elite and now dualsense edge. They all fail at the same rate a standard controller does, the dualsense edge does have replaceable stick modules but they are £30. My advice get a standard controller as you won’t be as p@ssed off at spending £50 for that to fail in less than 2 years as you will when you’ve spent £200 on one to fail just as quickly
Having owned SCUF I can give you the best heads up. It’s horrible. You will have stick drift in less than 2 months. They will fix it but you will be out 50$ and 6 weeks minimum waiting. It will happen again within 2 months. SCUF = overrated. Also I’ve owned 4 different SCUF this is an issue with them across multiple lines of product.
DO NOT BUY A SCUFF CONTROLLER
After just one month of owning a Scuff FPS controller for PS5 (420 Canadian dollars tax and shipping included), I had to send it back for in-waranty repair. Hair triggers were squeaky! It took another month to come back to me!
7 months later, L2 button (aim down the sight for Call of Duty and most fps games) fails, no click sound and no response.
The warranty on a controller that costs almost the same as the playstation itself is only 6 months and at this point I don't trust this vendor and neither should you!
I have both and the edge is BETTER DONTO THE REPLACEMENT JOYSTICK OPTIONS .JUST WISH THAT SONY WOULD’VE WENT WITH 4 BACK BUTTONS
The scuf reflex and reflex pro have haptic feedback like the duel sense. Its the FPS version that doesnt have the haptics. I have the Reflex Pro and it does have the exact haptics.

I’m coming off of the Xbox elite controller which was amazing so I wasn’t impressed with the stock ps5 controller, got the edge and it feels very very similar to the stock ps5 controller. I’m thinking of trying the scuf
Don't buy the Scuf.
From what I'm told, it's quite literally an official DualSense controller that is reshelled with the proprietary vibration and feedback functions removed.
Basically, you could go to the store, buy an $80 DualSense brand new, go online, buy the parts that they added themselves, then build this controller yourself and I guarantee you you will have spent less money and learned something along the way, plus you will have maintained the excellent feedback options the DualSense offers that these guys clearly gutted from the controller.
And at that price, you might as well get the DualSense Edge, at least it's officially supported and of much superior build quality.
Honestly, there is not a single third-party controller that is at the same price point as a DualSense Edge that actually competes to it, not a single one.
If you're going to spend $200 on a video game controller, get the official one.
I will tell the same thing to Xbox owners, if you're going to get a fancy controller, just get the Xbox Elite, it is of high build quality, it is officially supported by the console, the editing software is integrated into the Xbox, and parts are stupid easy to get and replace.
Unless you have a personal preference, don't fuck around with third parties when it comes to controllers.
The "PS Pro Controller" is straight overpriced garbage....
It lacks in Buildquality, the sticknobs are plastic clips.
The controller doesnt recharge wireless in the Case and the Batterie only lasts 4-5 hours.
Both controller are over priced. The Scuf should be $125 and the PS5 Dual Sense $150 AT MOST! Neither are bringing new features, just new design. If your fine with a cable the PowerA Pro Fusion 2 controller for $70 has all the same features 👍

Both of these are joke,8-10hours battery life wow....the heptic feedback is useless,not going to buy any of them,my Xbox elite series 2 controller has a battery life of 30-40hours , fully customisable and 40% cheaper so i rather buy an extra simple ps5 controller for the battery life 🙃😂
Well, if you take gaming-vacation, play heavy and have sweaty hands, the rubber thingy on the dual sense edge starts to bubble after three to four weeks and will probably soon go off. :(

Anyone who has ever had one Scuf in their hands knows that it is much better. The performance, response time, trigger buttons all much better than with PlayStation. There are so many little things about the Scuf that you don't take into account at all. The Dual Edge costs 170€ and is not a reasonable Pro Controller. Dude, you have no idea what you're talking about.
Don’t get the scuf relax pro!!! I bought one and their trigger stop SUCKS!!!!!!! Break so easily! I bought me edge and the trigger stop and there a BUILT in setting for your edge.
Actually they're not the same price, The Scuf is the same price without the triggers and customization, add those too it and it's about an extra 50% more and that's without the biggest feature of the controller, the haptic feedback.
Only good thing about the Scuf, you get 4 paddles (Which you don't need 4 anyway) and you can pick any colors you want. Other than that, it's garbage and the Pro easily beats it out.
Scuff is pure garbage. I had two and they broke in 6 months. They are made cheap. Dualsense edge is the best for quality. Look at scuff reviews and see thousands of bad reviews about them breaking in months. Scuff should be ashamed for charging so much for them being crap.

If anybody ask why they cost 200$ its called monopoly. Consoles are sold cheaper bacause supscription, games and peripherals are much more expensive. They can sell consoles with 100$ loss if they know they will earn more money longterm. Periperals will alwasy be one of consoles weakest points both pricing and compatibility.
Have both. Scuf are awful, randomly stops working, stick drift in weeks, somehow even feels cheaper. Edge feels superb, just wish it had grip on the back.
Dual sense easily you can make the most goofiest button layout on it plus the edge feels more durable
Don’t get the scuff. Spent over 300 on mine just to get extremely bad stick drift in 3 months. Just get the edge and save yourself a headache. Also the mouse click buttons were cool but I swear I play better on the edge anyways. With trigger dead zones it doesn’t even matter.
You can customize your ps5 edge with extremerate products. Faceplates, back plates. sticks, back paddles/buttons, etc. different colors for everything, and different colors and designs for face plates just have to be willing to take it apart to change stuff out on it
Scuf is garage. They use really cheap parts. They have a short warranty which you will need to use. And they make you pay for shipping and the turn around time to get it back takes forever. I had 6 scufs to keep one in working condition with one as back up and the others were in repair rotation. Atleast that's how the ps4 version was. I wouldn't even consider buying the ps5 version. They lost one of my controllers in shipment once and basically accused me of stealing it making me wait 3 months to replace it. The edge is a nice controller works great.
Or just use regular controller. Sorry but no matter what a controller with extra back peddles won't give you more of a edge than two. In fact none is the answer. If your competing online just use a keyboard and mouse. If you can't. Well I've used both and frankly. No improved performance in gameplay or anything. It'll be another gimmick that didn't make sense later
Scuf controllers are actually garbage dont waste your money. Mine hardly lasted 6 months before it stopped working properly. Xbox elite controller is 1000000% where it's at ive had mine over a year of almost every day game play and still works amazing

There needs to be more controllers with stick modules! Thats always the first thing to go on all my controllers. Then they just become a paper weight once the stick drift gets bad enough.

Scuff Analog sticks break easy. Especially if you’re a sweaty/competitive FPS player. Choose the Dual Sense Edge, because you can purchase the extra stick modules for like 20 something bucks. And swap it out yourself….. Vs Scuff and their $80+ repair fee when you send it in.
The Edge has less back buttons, but you’ll be fine with just 2. Scuff is not worth the trouble. I’ve used Scuff for 5 years. Bought 3 different generations of their pro controllers and they all kick the bucket (in one way or another) in 3-12 months. Before Dual Sense edge, Scuff was the only thing I liked out of all the available options out there. I’m glad I can finally drop them.
Only reason you should buy scuff, is if you actually NEED the 2 extra back buttons. Not worth it tho, unless you’re buying the scuff for your PC.

I was deciding what controller to get a few weeks ago and I chose a totally different controller, a cinch controller, it's been great swappable thumb sticks (you get lots of them) and instant triggers better than my old scuf, idk it just feels different and 4 back buttons so far it's been amazing with no stick drift

Well i prefer dualsense edge controller because stick drift can be fixed quicker and it will last much with the stick drift and its super easy and u can also customise the dualsense edge controller with trigger stops depending on the witch game u play and witch ones better for u i think dualsense is better (pls no hate)
Judging from my experience with the dual sense controllers, I'd buy anything but the Sony pro controller
Scuf quality is crap. I bought a PS4 version and when ps5 came out, I bought one too. There won't be a third. Aim and battle beaver are way better
Back paddle attachment on PS5 Edge breaks easily not sure if they made the controller for 6 year old kids but you can’t find any warranty info either. Controller is Not Durable
The thing people under rate is the pro joysticks can be switched. Scuff is guaranteed to stick drift after 8 months, costing you money to get it repaired.
after 1 year my edge loses the grippads, doesnt hold the time to switch the sticks... next Player maybe a scuf
I got 2 scuffs in a row that icue completely bricked and weren’t usable on my pc so I’ll never buy another scuff again.
The cable locking device is likely the single worst idea anybody has ever had for a controller accessory.
