I’m loving this ! I feel like I’m on vacation with you ! I have to be careful not to tell people I’ve been to all theses places ! You two are so special to let us travel with y’all ! My palms were even sweaty on those scary roads. Have a great time. I ready for more ! Love you Bill and Elizabeth !
I'm enjoying your videos so much. They bring back memories when my husband and I went to Ouray to hike the 14,000 peaks. I remember those switchbacks... scary, but with spectacular scenery... God's creation! Elizabeth, you're a brave soul to walk out on that platform. Bill, you're doing awesome driving. May the Lord continue to protect and bless your adventurous trip! Memories...sweet memories. ❤
Bill and Elizabeth, thank you so much for sharing your Million Dollar Highway adventure! Delightful!
Cant wait to see where you are going next!!!
I have never enjoyed your videos more than this one! The music you chose for the drive was perfection! The views were spectacular. Even though we have never met, it's like watching the adventures of old friends. Carry on Dear Hearts!
Oh yes! The choice of music during the video is so beautiful!
❤❤
Oh my goodness what a beautiful video! Our country is so amazing.
Bill and Elizabeth, you’ve struck Gold! Thanks for taking us along!💛
We did the Ouray to Silverton back in the early 1990's. As a flatlander I was never so frightened in my life.
Might not to go on White pass, through the Cascades . Or Glasier National park in Montana!
@@lindapearson8137 Did White Pass (Alaska) on a train so not so bad.
Love the music! It captures the silence & beauty! God Bless as you travel. ❤
Absolutely breathtaking! Thanks for much for taking the time to film your trip!
❤ Your breath taking clips of these mountains made me tear up. ❤Gods Beauty took my breath away. Thank you for this!
This is enough to take your breath away. The BEST veidos I have ever seen of those mountains. Maybe one day I'll make it
We drove that road accidentally last October when the aspen were literally glowing! It was one of the most spectacular, AND scary, drives I’ve ever been on!!! I’m very glad we happened upon it, but never again!
I had to comment.....Some of the scenery in this video is truly a Bob Ross painting.. Love It!!
Every turn in the road is like a picture postcard! What magnificent scenery that takes your breath away. You're brave to navigate those sheer cliff drop offs...I could never do it!! ❤
Very pretty! We drove that highway in May 2022. The mountains were snowy, and light snow was falling. The dropoffs are breathtaking and frightening. It is an amazing ride.
What a beautiful, relaxing, vacation. Good for the soul!
"Isn't it cool that we can share all these places with you guys?"...I just want to say Yes it definitely is cool. Another great video with beautiful, beautiful scenery. 🙂
Watched these trips is like reliving my childhood. Our family went through so many of these places. My dad loved Colorado and the states all around. I remember looking out the camper windows with those huge drop offs. Thanks so much for sharing your experiences!
You are so BRAVE Elizabeth!!! I could not have gone out on that overhang!!!! Took my breath away!!!! What an adventure!!!!
@@sj6728 yeah. Me neither
Absolutely agreed!!
It really has been! I’ve got to admit that overhang was a little disconcerting!
😳😄
I have never in my life seen anything so beautiful, stunning and scary!!
Just WOW! ❤❤Thank you a million times for sharing this with us!!
Can't wait for this trip! Thanks for taking us! I was on this road many years ago...brings back memories! Oh my..no guard rails!!! 😮
Another scary road driving but beautiful scenery !! Can't imagine Winter on those roads. So wonderful that Elizabeth is able to enjoy the mountains. Good job Bill on driving and Elizabeth on being able to enjoy your trip together. Travel Safe !!
😮White knuckle driving! Got my heart beating fast just watching this , I could not do this, your brave Bill!
White knuckle driving is a very tense experience, definitely adding to the need for relaxation. I tell you what, driving and passengering those hairpin curves/switchbacks and any other roads on the edge of Rocky Mountain drop offs is a venue for spontaneous praying without ceasing if ever there was one!! 😲🙏🏼 I appreciate your wise cautious pluck, but watching the video is as far as I would want to take it. Thanks for sharing such spectacular scenery with this wimp.😱 😀
Elizabeth, love the hat on you:)
Bill needs a day to get over that road! I don’t blame him!
Both of you look so happy! I’m glad you are having a great time and enjoying your new home on wheels! Beautiful job! Bill
❤ "I thank my God upon every remembrance of you." - even if it's through video! Thank you so much for doing this. Elizabeth, I was right there with you -not only being awed by God's beautiful creation but walking out on that overhang! Oh my! It takes a lot for the rational mind to overcome what my body and feelings experience - even on the video. And, am so glad you had your trustworthy pilot to navigate that road. So many thoughts and feeling accompanied my viewing of this (again) amazingly beautiful part of your journey. thank again! (from the very flat crop fields of Illinois, lol)
❤️😊❤️
Very beautiful scenery but my knuckles got white just watching you drive that road. I admire your bravery.
Wow, wow and wow. Thank you so much. Amazing views. Bill you are a brave man to drive those roads. Thanks so much for the time and effort you put into sharing these memories with us. May God watch over the both of you. 😀
Thanks you for taking us with you ….felt like we were flying down the mountain in video…you are a good driver Bill
Holy cow this is a beautiful but white knuckle drive! Hard to enjoy the scenery when your trying to stay centered in the lane. No room for bobbles. Thanks for taking us on your trip with you! I have never been to Colorado. Always wanted too. I'm a big John Denver music fan! 🤗✌
You did a great job on this video Elizabeth. I was getting nervous as Bill was driving down those steep and narrow roads too! Oh my! 😮 Looking forward to seeing more!
I live in Montrose, they close the road often but we drive it 12 months out of the year. Our snow plow drivers are our heros
Extremely beautiful! Definitely observe the slow speed limits for safety!
Thank you so much for this drive through the mountains! I was white knuckling while watching from my chair at home. I love mountains!
Thanks for sharing. We definitely can relate to the stress of wondering if you will have a good place to stay for the night. Having a reservation for several days will be a blessing to you.
I think you should set up Thrive Life sales centers in Silverton so that the residents can have food to last through the winter. Prime territory!
Yes, this is definitely gorgeous country and I always find it amazing how anyone can even plan out a road like this. 😅 I drive the same way through the mountains…slow, enjoying the scenery, and I pull over and let others around me. So happy you two are going to settle down a little for the next few days and rest up a “little”, but enjoy everything you can also!!! 💕🌸💕
Trust me I could tell how steep it was. My heart rate had increased and I was holding my breath throughout the entire video. I had to the take a break for a moment. The scenery was spectacular and I really didn’t wanna miss any of it. Thank you for being so daring. Wow Elizabeth the overhang oh my goodness. Just know I would have never seen this part of the United States if you had not traveled and shared.
We’re so glad to share it with you!
The highway is a lot like our trip through the Alberta rocky mountains. Beautiful scenery. Looking forward to seeing Telluride!
I wouldn’t have any breaks on my van by the time I got to the bottom of the mountain. Beautiful country!
Hi Bill and Elizabeth, There are so many beautiful states in the United States!! Colorado is one of the most beautiful states that I have traveled to in my life!! I feel lucky to be living in the United States!! I am really enjoying watching your travels!!! Elizabeth in Texas
After you stopped I finally took a breath ! Goodness my anxiety I could feel what you both are going through ! Thank you so much for sharing !!!😊😊❤❤. Cannot wait for the next video, Telluride ❤
I'd have spent the whole time with my eyes closed or looking at the sky. Beautiful scenery.
Absolutely loving watching your adventure in a box ❤
I went on a trip with my parents, my sister and our 2 children to all these areas. Let me tell you that road is absolutely terrifying!! I was 18 years old, almost 50 years ago, and you will never forget it. My Dad was a semi driver until I was about 10...and he had driven through their many times. Just riding through there once was the last time for me😂 Elizabeth I felt the same about that ledge walkout! Brings back so many memories, thank yall for sharing, ❤
I love Ouray! I’m from Ohio and my brother in law owns a bus Co. Actually his son now owns it. We started family trips back in 1999. Our first trip was to Colorado. Between my husband’s family and my side of the family, we probably have done at least 25 long and short trips. We again leave for Colorado in Sept. This will be our 4th to Colorado. Our 4th to go over gorgeous, scary, Million Dollar Highway. Am so enjoying your trip. You be blessed!
These are some of my very favorite videos . Thank you for sharing your trip with us.❤
Glad you like them!
BILL AND ELIZABETH, I LOVE THESE VIDEO'S. THEY SRE SO EXCITING. THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR TRAVELS.
Thanks for taking us along! Beautiful! Love it!
Awesome!😮 We were driving in similar mountains in Greece, it was soooo nervwracking, three grass straws between us and the eternity. Immagine this road in wintertime. In Greece they put a small chapel on every place where someone fell down..
.. I just googled roadside shrines in Greece. So interesting.. thanks for sharing that with us.
@@TheThriftyGmaroadside shrine thats a better word, thanks. It sure made an impact
@@ginavandam735 .. Here, you often see a cross on the side of a road where someone was killed due to a vehicle accident. Usually their name and sometimes a picture is attached to the cross, along with flowers.
I'm so relived that you can relax now, Elizabeth please make Bill a chimichanga for that amazing driving he did!
Great idea!
Absolutely beautiful!! Every minute on that snake turn road had me on the edge of my seat. My husband and i both agreed we could not have done that! You sure do have to respect those speed signs! Amazing. Good job Bill! Loved these videos and ready for the next adventure ❤
Thanks so much for taking us with you I went to pikes peak a couple of years ago I have bad vertigo so doing that drive was bad I think I would of froze in a couple places you are blessed on this trip and so are we God bless you and praise the LORD always
Elizabeth I have never been out west. I feel like I am riding with you all in the truck. So breath taking. Thank you for letting me ride alone. I am in Florida.
Wow such beautiful country.. But that ride was so scary! So steep and winding and with room just enough room for 2 cars to get by each other without knocking the other person off the other side . my goodness scared the Heebee geebees out of me... Prayers for a safe trip.. Sure scared me and I wasn't even on the road.Take care and have a safe trip!! I ❤❤🙏🙏
What an amazing road trip. This is wonderful of you two, for sharing your beautiful adventures. Thanks and may God bless yall I'm afraid of heights but the beauty of God's creation sure does help.
Thank you for everything you do for us ❤❤
My palms are sweating just watching. Drove 5K miles from PA to Yellowstone on I 80 and back on I 70. Too old for so much adrenaline on switchbacks!
I'm thankful for you too. I can't afford the travel right now. I grew up in Utah and so I understand the drop offs and the driving. When I was a child, my father driving, my mother on the passenger side and me in the back seat, I would glance over to my father and see him trying to look over the edge of a drop off and so when I turned to look at the drop off as well, I thought my father was driving to close to the edge, he probably wasn't but I was to small, I barely could see out the window to the drop off below. Knowing my father was trying to see over the edge while driving, or at least I thought he was, I remember crying. I was so terrified that I can still remember that moment to this day. Phew! Thank you Jesus we didn't go over. I understand the downshifting, I understand the wisdom and driving slow, I understand the brakes burning out. I do feel for those truck drivers as well. Just wow and to the people driving faster, wow to them as well. Love the beautiful creation our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ has made for our eyes to see.
Hi Bill and Elizabeth! I remember those drop offs very scary on the passenger side! I am so happy you both are doing this adventure! The USA is beautiful!
hi ya'll! my heart was down in my stomach when you went out onto that viewing ledge. oh boy, i almost got dizzy! haha!...thanks bill for explaining about the brakes. i was wondering and thinking you sure have to keep an eye on brakes and transmission when driving in those places!...i like your hat elizabeth. looks super cute on you👍...have fun. i'm sure you will!🌅🙋
I am sure enjoying your videos on this trip. The filming and editing on the switch backs ( hairpin) turns is really well done. Great job both of you, Bill for driving and Elizabeth for trusting his skills! Folks planning to travel that route will find great information from you. Glad you found a campsite!
Thanks so much!
Thanks for sharing! It really brought back memories from my 1980's trip!
Thank you for sharing all this. I went to Colorado in 1969, '70, '71, '72 & '77 Absolutely love the state. ❤❤❤❤❤
Couldn’t drive that highway too steep too much traffic,am nervous just watching your video…Beautiful scenery..thanks for sharing
❤❤❤❤ love y'all's adventures!!! And I am as y'all I would be so frighten coming and going on this highway. I know when I went to slp mexico those mountain roads where as this. Except they were barely enough road to pass. And those trucks and buses would pass in a curve. And I mean you could not tail if it was something coming or not. A tip about the tools making noise. We used that padded drawer liner and rolled each tool then after rollen up we used rip ties and then all we had to do was pull out our tools we need and stick them back in
You can sew bottom of like. But they stayed in. So maybe Bill can wrap up any thing that makes noise. This works good. And cheap. I liked it cause I could match decor. Haha be safe Be Blessed and sending hugs from NC.Angela❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊
I’d drop and have to crawl back to solid ground (seriously) 😁 it’s a good thing I’m getting to see this through you guys because otherwise I’d never see it . I’ll take the beach . I had to not look in some places
Truly thankful that you share this with us as there is no way I'd drive that road. I love narration and bits of fyi you toss in.
So glad your health lungs have healed to be able to u both to handle higher elevations! Just beautiful trip thank you
I’m so thankful!
Again a beautiful journee with you thank for the wonderful ride
It’s so beautiful. Thank you for sharing these exciting adventures. I’m adding this to my bucket list!
Lovely video. The sights were fantastic. Bill put some foam between your tools. Love your trip.
You two are truly amazing. Thanks for sharing.
Hi! From North Central MN...its such a joy to see your videos of my adventures in CO...I lived in Delta and Monument and all of your CO videos are of places I have been to, camping, the hot spring in Ouray, Silverton, Durango...brings back so many wonderful memories. Only this type of beauty will for sure convince anyone of our Heavenly Father..Thank you for sharing as I wipe tears of gratitude and joy for His creation. I miss Colirado but I am in my Home..growing up in MN. It saddens me to realize how "woke" it has become. Be safe!
Awesome!!! I can no longer travel so thank you, thank you for taking me along on your travels...God has created this beautiful country for all of us to see!! So glad I can see these beautys with you guys!! God bless yall!!
Beautiful scenery
Wow Million Dollar highway beautiful. Thanks for the ride and Bill I was worried about smoking brakes. Good job Elizabeth great filming. 😊
We live in a beautiful scenic country USA breath taking ❤
Thx u Bill & Elisabeth.
It’s very cool! Thank you so much for all of the hard work you do in order to show these beautiful majestic masterpieces of God. ❤
I look for a new video every day! No pressure . . .😄
Every Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday. 👍👍
Yes..that was a scarey road! Very tense! You really take beautiful videos of the places you go. Its like I was with you! Thank you!
Love the beautiful scenery. My husband is also is a very careful driver. Blessed to have him “Driving Miss Daisy” aka me!
Good Afternoon Bill & Elizabeth,my aunt lived in Ouray.Scenery is so beautiful.Thank you for sharing!❤
What an incredible ride you guys just share with us, you guys looks so happy, well deserved!
Keep enjoying Colorado! Blessings!! 🙏
Virginia is for lovers! 💯❤👋
Wow the views just keep being more beautiful than ever! Thank you for braving the scary parts to show us the creation of the west. There is a saying “West is best”
Thank you for all the great videos. I'm terrified of heights but still get to see the wonderful views from the safety of my seat on the sofa. Looking forward to more adventures. Stay safe and God bless.
All I can say is,WOW, so beautiful and keep your eyes on the road, I know that's hard to do.
Thank you for taking us with you.
I wonder if the original road was much narrower when it was built. They were probably using mules at the time. Then over the years it was widened and improved for vehicles. That was a beautiful joy ride.
I’m sure that’s the case. Mules and wagons don’t need as much width.
This has been AMAZING going along with y’all on this trip of a lifetime! Wow! I know the camera never does it justice so I can only imagine how beautiful it is in person!!! I love that you are camping in your RV!!!
What a scary ride. We felt like we was in your passenger seat. We enjoyed it.
Colorado is one of the 5 states I have left to visit! In the next 2 years I will be there but actually thinking of seeing it by train! Thanks for the road trip!
So beautiful! Loved the music you chose. Perfect. ❤
I love being able to watch all your videos. Thanks for sharing! I would have been terrified on that road!
Thanks for the ride along. Can’t help but notice that the most popular vehicle out there has to be the Jeep Wrangler. …..breathtaking scenery
And most of the jeeps in the area are NOT on that road. The million dollar highway is just the access road for them to get to the really exciting Jeep roads!
Thank you for sharing the beautiful drive!!!! I was grateful to be at home and not actually on the road! 😂😂 WOW I found myself holding my breath.🎉
Love this one! Ya'll keep'em coming! Very exciting drive. Been there and drove it but hard to see much when your driving!
I went over million dollar hwy twice in a semi. Once with a load of hay and once with a load of sheet rock, grossing 80,000 pounds both times. My rear end was hanging on to the seat very tight. Once was in the winter. Roads were clear thank God. Just south on Silverton on the left down in a hole there was a lake with cabins all around it. Snow was so deep you could not see the cabins just smoke stacks sticking up out of the snow. Really glad you made it safe.
You are amazing! Kudos to you for handling such difficult trips!
What a drive, I was white knuckleing my coffee cup watching the road with you. Beautiful scenery. Where to next ? Thank you for sharing. God bless you!
We enjoyed the ride, as haven’t been to that part of Colorado.
We could relate to some of your experiences.
My husband reminded me of getting over on his side of the vehicle going up Pikes Peak, in our 66 Ford Galaxy with the bench seat.
I wouldn’t have been as brave as you on the overlook. I don’t handle heights very well as I feel as if I’m losing control.😢
