[PD2] Season 8 Endgame Combustion Sorceress Showcase

My build brief summary :
- Max combustion + synergies
- Max Telekinesis and one point in teleport
- Have at least one point in Hydra before you max fire mastery
- Rest of skill points after level 94 to Hydra
Gameplay summary :
Cast 3 hydras, teleport with enigma (to avoid dmg penalty from sorceress teleport) and cast combustion, cast 3 hydra at the next spot you are aiming to teleport to again and repeat with combustion.
Prebuff mechanics :
Using energy shield from Memory RW, and prebuff gears so along with 60% block (didn't want to go max block as i have no increased block chance anywhere), my character is very tanky and can aggressively telestomp large density. With my prebuff gears and CTA buff, my energy shield is at level 27, which helps me absorb 67% at 100% efficacy since my telekinesis is maxed, which means i'm only taking 33% dmg realistically.
CTA :
Using shiver armor staff base for CTA allows me to save 4 skill points to add to my fire skills instead. Also shiver armor is nice to have since it improves my defenses and gives me more safety when i telestomp.
It is also worth noting that this map had 18% deadly strike rolled on it, so it really showcases the value and tankiness of ES once built right.

That's a good rotation with Hydra, instead of teleporting and combusting.

Why max telekenisis? And not teleport? 🤔 Also is the enigma mostly for the strength? Or to get old teleport without dmg debuff back? If so could an earlier (more budget) option be maxing teleport until you get enigma?
I maxed telekinesis because i'm using energy shield, energy shield dmg taken conversion ratio efficacy is based on telekinesis, so the higher level your telekinesis is, the lesser the dmg conversion rate will be will be.
For example,
If your energy shield is level 25 and telekinesis is level 1, your energy shield will absorb 63% of the damage at a 218% multiplier, and you take 100 dmg, so this means your mana will take (63 x 2.18) damage. At level 20 telekinesis (hard points), the multiplier is reduced to 100%, so you will only be taking 63 damage to your mana with maxed telekinesis.

I didn't need to max teleport because i'm using the teleport from enigma so i can tele-combust without suffering any dmg penalty. Also, the strength from enigma helps a ton in reaching the stats requirement for my phoenix shield. I only use the sorceress teleport for getting around, but mainly using enigma's teleport for combat.
Yes, when you can't afford enigma yet, you'd want to max teleport instead and not run ES. I only started gearing for ES once i got my enigma, phoenix shield and 2x SOJ.

Heya, thanks for the video! Do you start the season with this character or do you use another element then switch when you have infinity? Also are you able to do uber tristram with this build?
i started this season with this sorceress, but i played lightning at the start til i could afford an infinity. In hindsight though i should have played fire right from the get-go, and just farmed keys on fire instead of farming arcane sanctuary on lightning because it wasn't as lucrative as i'd imagine it to be. I have not tried this build at uber tristram, i don't imagine it would do very well though, given the amount of elemental damage the bosses do, on top of the mana burn baal does which would completely rekt energy shield, but there are def ways to make it possible. I'll give it a try sometime soon.
@@heartemperor4616 Yeah I would assume to do ubers it would need to be more centered around hydras than firebolt / ball, at least to make it a lot faster. Thanks for the reply!
So are you done with S8 now ? How much can you really gear up? How much was that CTA staff base
Almost done with gear, just a few more tweaks left to optimize it and then it's road to 99 for me. The cta base was self found.
The tweaks i'm working on currently is just mostly minor stuff like having abit more FHR, def and some extra pierce. The core aspect of my gear set up still stays the same.
Love the vide...but dam that is a expensive build....also is pura hydra still bad? due to the -% pierce not working on them? never seen a pure hydra sorc for ages...

Fire is by far the most fun for me personally. The feeling of teleporting into a big combustion and watching the entire screen get annihilated is really nice. I also played chain lightning sorc back in season 4, it was so boring.

how to size up minimap?
Ctrl + O -> Features -> there's a slider over there where you can adjust the map size
